This is just the start of John Carver's saga in the Dead Space Universe.

I think that may be the co-op parter in DS 3.
Not that DS needs co-op but that's a rant for another day

Man I do NOT know about this. I absolutely loved DS1 and 2... but with the addition of co-op...
I see Resident Evil 5 all over again. If co-op is its own separate mode then I'm fine with that. I really don't want DS to turn into Gears of War Light like RE5 did to the RE franchise. The addition of Sheva, a completely useless character, to RE5 totally robbed the game of any sense of tenseness along with the fact that 90% of the game took place in daylight against non-intimidating enemies. I remember being stoked about 5 when it was originally supposed to be about survival. Just Chris, along with having to stay hydrated and out of the sunlight turning water into a scarce resource you absolutely needed. Then they fucked it up by taking that away, making it into almost a pure action gamer and shoe horning in a garbage character that HAD to come along with you like the X-MEN game on NES.
I see DS taking that same path. The whole point of the first two was the sense of feeling alone with no backup other than someone far on the other end of where you are trying to guide you. And what is that on Isaac's gun? A grenade launcher? GTFO of here with that shit.
