But watch out, the ball gets hot if you don't keep moving! Keep your eye on the ball to make sure it doesn't go critical before you can score.

I don't read that as a price drop, looks to me like a sale that only lasts this weekend. So if you want those games, grab them now to make sure you get them at the discounted price!

Yeah this is true. I was know what it is I was merely saying that they are dropping the prices for the weekend which almost never happens.

Woot nice. I wanted Small Arms and Zuma Deluxe for a while. With a 400 point drop like that there's no denying me now. Also, going to be buying Gauntlet. Very nice.

That's what the market needs, more discounts and price drops. If they continue to do that for their older titles, X-Live market will do damn good. Can't wait for FFS :).

Well since MS won't refund me for my old Arcade games I might as well pick up Gauntlet again since it's only 200 Points

I think it's very clear they're just testing the waters. They can't just flat out permanently lower the prices because that sets a dangerous precedent, and suddenly everything on the marketplace could lower in price... so why bother paying $40 for lumines when it could be a more reasonable price later on?

But at the same time, they realize these games have been out for a while, and sales have probably tapered off. By lowering these prices they stand to make more money by increased sales; the same way it's done for video games since the dawn of time.

I don't really want these games that badly, but I do like speaking with my wallet. The sooner they set this precedent the better.

Definitely going to pick up something, either Zuma or Gauntlet. I figure if they see amazing sales this weekend they'll do this kind of thing more often, which would be very nice.

I was just searching the Arcade Title list earlier to see if there's anything I fancied buying because I wanted to get a new Arcade game for some Gamerscore. Now I read this and realise that I will wait and buy Dig Dug and maybe Gauntlet. Can't say no for 2 Arcade titles for the price of 1! :D

Hopefully Microsoft will do this more often, woo.

Where did that figure come from?

Where did that figure come from?

I think he meant "whatever outrageous price they are charging now"

edit: It is almost $40

Base price is 1200MS
Add-ons are 1800MS total

At 1600MS = $20
3000MS = $37.50
