There are threads for this sort of thing if you look!

Official "What Should I Get/Play Next?" Thread: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=348314

But for what it's worth Red Dead Redemption, Bioshcok, Batman games and Gears of War are all top class games and are all story driven for the most part.

Try any Rock Star game, Like Max Payne, Red Dead redemption!

If you have a PS3, Heavy Rain is an outstanding story-driven game.

If not, I would recommend either Batman game, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins.

Played Max Payne 3 recently, that had an amazing story driven campaign.

Agreed, GTA IV is heavy on a solid story too.

Every JRPG ever made? Altohugh the Half-life games in the orange box are good, along with Deathspank, Islands of Wakfu, Dragon Age.

A good game yeah, but Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit is similar and on the Xbox. Not a 360 title but it's still definitely a look.

Check out Walking Dead Ep 1 by Telltale on live arcade. Only $5 and is heavily story driven. Can't wait for the remaining 4 episodes.

Mass Effect 2. I'm going through for a 2nd time, and to see if I can get some of the achievements I have left too. But its a fantastic game.

Skyrim and Oblivion also have some great stories and plenty of hours too. Fallout 3 aint too bad either mentioning Bethesda.

Witcher 2 has me hooked as well, but I'm still early on in the game. But I'm enjoying it so far. I'm an RPG fan as you can tell.

If you want something totally different gameplay wise and a fantastic story, give Catherine a go. If you want a laugh then I'd recommend Lollipop Chainsaw.

i would agree with others, Red Dead Redemption is a fantastic game if you havent played that before. the story is actually pretty good in there, not to mention it kind of plays like other open world rockstar games. so there is A LOT to do:)

Mass effect is a great story driven game, you will get a lot of mixed opinion on that one though. i personally loved the first, but felt they focused more on the shooter side as the games developed.

im sure more members will give good suggestions from personal experience, i just dont want to spew out any stinkers :p.

Mess Effect, Lost Odyssey umm, any of the Final Fantasy games. I guess alot of JRPG's can be story driven too.

I agree with Lost Odyessy. That being the best RPG for "current-Gen".

The Rabbit Suit

Alan Wake, hands down. You could also try out the Fable games since you haven't touched either on your GT. Assassin's Creed has a really interesting overtone too.

If you are looking for something completely different from the games you have played I would try out Asura's Wrath, excellent game imo and very story driven. Pretty much like playing an anime series. Or like others have said Alan Wake.

Well I think they try...kinda. But no not at all.

Most if not all JRPG's are story based to different extents. But it's a very different type of story. So I'd try one to see if you liked it. (If you haven't already.)

Pretty much all story driven games mentioned here are definitely worth your time. I would put my two cents in and highly recommend Gears of War and the Mass Effect series. Another game you could check out for super cheap, depending on your preferences, would be The Saboteur. Fun gameplay and a relatively enjoyable game all around, from my experience anyway.

Highly recommend Catherine, Elder Scrolls, Brutal Legend, Braid, Bastion, Walking Dead, Devil May Cry HD, Metal Gear Solid HD, and the first two Mass Effect games. I would recommend Halo, but it's easier to enjoy the overall storyline if you read the books and graphic novels as well.

If you're willing to dig into the original Xbox titles, you've got Advent Rising, Breakdown, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies, Jet Set Radio Future, Shenmue II, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Phantom Dust, Indigo Prophecy.

I would go with LA Noire. A great story set in 1940's Los Angeles. A setting that you don't see in many games.

This won't be to everyone's taste but I thought that Eternal Sonata had a really interesting story, nothing else really like it, depends if you
Like JRPG's to.

Yup Indigo Prophecy is a must play for anyone who loves a good story, well worth the buy even if last gen.

Some recent games with great story are Witcher 2 and Max Payne 3. Also have a look at The Walking Dead on XBLA.

You would need a PS3 for games like this..

Uncharted
Heavy Rain

But Max Payne 3 is great for Xbox (not great, FUCKING AMAZING)
Alan Wake
La Noire..

I Second/Third..whatever we're at now.... LA Noire.

Entertaining story, not over too soon either. Most achievements are easy but there are a few collectible ones that can be a little annoying but it's a good game...So far anyway
