Last year's home run derby was literally impossible with some of the top 5 players hitting 60-70 home runs in one round. I this years version actually do-able with out the opponent hitting 60 to 70 home runs? I am just curious before I start to waste my time on the home run derby.

Can't you alter the other players abilities in the Derby? I thought you could with the older games.

I did in 2k11 and Josh Hamilton would still go off. I used Ian Kinsler and got through the first 5, upgraded to Bryce Harper and I am starting #8 right now against Nelson Cruz. Its looking good!!

I reached the 12th batter and it is a ghost, no name no nothing an then my game freezes when it becomes that player's turn to bat. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

I read that if you get a list of the players, lower their abilities and use Chipper Jones with contact and power at 99.

I sent you a PM...

I did it without an issue. I ran into a problem against Konerko, he would always beat me by 1. You can save after each round. If you lose, leave without saving and reload. I would always leave when the go ahead homerun was going over the fence, just so auto-save wouldn't screw me.

I used Nelson Cruz.

Edit: Just read your post about the ghost player.... That's weird. I didn't have that issue.

If you're still having problems go through Rosters and edit each players contact and power down to twenty-five who are considered the top twenty in climb the ladder.
