It annoys me that your completion percentage is inclusive of DLC... It should be able to scan if you own/ed the DLC and then remove the achievements until you buy it.

Surely that wouldn't be so difficult to execute

That's never really bothered me all that much given the fact that I never really look into my completion percentages. But for those who do I can see how it can become rather frustrating.

Don't really know that much about the inner workings of DLC but it would be nice if at least the extra achievements weren't added until after you purchased said DLC.

Must work like MMOs and expansions. All the content is loaded onto your game but it's just locked until you buy it. Only solution would be to never update your games!

Register on TrueAchievements and you can see your completion percentage with or without DLC.

PS3 don't do that, which is why I like to go completion mad on there when I can! ;)

I do find it annoying however.

Yeah...I lost my 100% on Borderlands four times due to added DLC. But considering I have 15 of 175+ games complete, it's really no big deal to me.

This topic has been done to death now. Microsoft will never change it as I'm sure they're well aware of the fact that completionists and achievement hunters will buy dlc anyway.

I wish it was like that also

Doesn't really bother me as such.

Seeing as I don't pay much attention to % I don't really mind, it does annoy me though when I've completed a game, sold it then they release un-announced DLC.

And here I was thinking that no one had complained about this in at least a month...

You can consider the game complete whenever you want. Just don't expect the official stats to agree with you.

Doesn't really bother me that much since I don't care about my completion %. I also rarely purchase DLC for games, unless the game is simply amazing.

I consider myself having 100% completed a game if I get the original 1000 and don't own the DLC. No matter what Microsoft say!

We've (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=353240) been (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=340597) over (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=320250) this (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=285187) numerous (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=218310) times (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=255036). Some people agree with you, some people disagree. Microsoft made it this way intentionally, it's not a matter of implementing a "fix." Talking about it time and time again isn't going to change any of that.

And here I was thinking that no one had complained about this in at least a month...

'Tis a fantasy.

This is a goofy reason and I hope the people who truly think this are in the minority.

As for the OP's complaint, I think it should stay the way it is. And as Veedrock said, this topic been gone over many times. DLC and add-ons are a part of the game. Just because you don't want to buy it does not negate that fact.

I could maybe concede splitting it into main/add-ons/overall completions, but only the overall should matter to anyone.

LOL

This used to annoy me too but after a while I just stopped caring. Doesn't really matter.

I don't really keep tabs on my completion %, so this doesn't really bother me. Some of the games I buy are cheaper than their (possibly crap) DLC, so it would be a nightmare if I tried to maintain a fantastic completion % despite that. I think ive bought maybe 1 DLC ever. (Didn't have achievements attached either.) Though props to anyone who can maintain a high "true completion".

I did try to search for the topic but hit an error. Which I have done a few times on here.

On Topic: It never really bothered me before but it does annoy me now.

It is a good point. MS Will use what they can to earn what they can.
