Doesnt happen here. The disc spins roughly 1 minute or even less. When the game is in the main menu/starts loading it usually stops. Then I play from the HDD it seems.

I did some research and it seems the previous fix for some games with this problem ( I remember Alice Madness Returns )...

Just an FYI for anyone having this problem...

Just like all other new Xbox games, the disc will spin for a minute or so after launch even if it is installed to the HDD. However, I noticed that with TASM, after it stops its initial spinning, it will start spinning the disc again upon loading a game, and will continue to do so the entire time you play, as if it is reading from the disc instead of the HDD.

To avoid this altogether, just play some music from your HDD or from a USB before you launch the game, then simply turn it off after you get to the Title screen. For whatever reason, this stops the disc from spinning. If you do this, it won't even spin for that first minute, it just won't spin at all.

This also works for every other game, if you want to avoid that initial disc spinning process.

or just do what i do and when you load up the game, go to "continue" and once it loads, just push start and go to "quit to main menu" and it will take you back to the main menu, once you are there, again go to "continue" and as it starts to load up again, the disk will stop spinning.

and SOMETIMES you may have to repeat it maybe two times, but its wayyyy better then trying to dashboard it because you think that will fix it, it does not.

not really sure why it happens with certain games, but thats pretty much all i do on The amazing Spiderman. so try that and it should work for anyone having this issue.

As for me, everytime i meet the problem of my Xbox's drive, i just directly call MS and they will probably send me the solution ...

P.s. Many Xbox users like to run their Xbox360 as a DVD player, this will be harm for its DVD drive after long-time use. So my suggestion is to copy DVDs to Xbox 360 (http://dvdrippingsoftwares.org/dvdtips/converting-dvd-to-xbox-360.html) instead of playing DVD by inserting discs to DVD drive.
