I was contemplating on getting the game. Is it NCAA worth paying the 60$?

To be honest, I don't think it is. I would consider sticking with '12 or waiting until '13 comes down in price. I just don't see any major changes with '13 to make it be worth another $60.

I for one am waiting it out until it becomes cheap because its the same game every year

It's worth $60 if you don't have 12 and are looking to get into the series. If you have last year's its probably only worth about $30.

I think it is worth the 60. Here are a few reasons why:
1 - Like building a Dynasty? The recruiting is much better! Dynasty is solid
2- Heisman is a blast. You can take the Heisman and put him on any team. Once you finish the season, he is unlocked and available to use in Road to Glory mode.
3 - Graphics are about the same, but the movement of the players is much better!
4 - Then there is the online if you prefer.

Overall, it's football. Can it get repetitive? Of course, just like any other sports or racing game.

If you are a fan of NCAA, Madden, and football. I definitely would buy this game

It really depends on how you want to play the game if its worth it. If you want to play it for just the 1K GS, then no its not near worth the 60 bucks. If your into NCAA Football thought I think it could be worth it.

Amazon has the game for $45 right now. The price has been that way for a couple of months now.

Amazon.com: NCAA Football 13: Xbox 360: Video Games

Yep price is still $45. I say that for $45 it is worth the try.

Must be the copy you have or your Xbox. I have played for around 20+ hours and haven't had encountered a freezing problem yet.

I bought my copy of Amazon for $45.00 and it was delivered in 2 days with Free Shipping.

I have not had any freezes yet either, so not sure about that being brought up.

I don't know if custom playbooks/created players have anything to do with this.

In NCAA 12, my custom playbooks and 5 or 6 created players were the cause of my freezing in 12. Once I got rid of all of it, I would only get that occasional freeze in game for like 3 seconds and then would unfreeze. No "permanent" freezing.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. But I did make one custom playbook on this title and it froze in the middle of the 3rd quarter when I was playing Iowa vs. Nebraska. Shut my Xbox and went back to delete the playbook because I remembered that it caused my constant permanent freezing on 12. Ever since then (day after release date to today), no "permanent" freezing.

I'm gonna say no on this one. I rented it, thankfully. 1000'd it in less than 2 days. I know I'd play it more if I owned it, but there weren't many changes from last years game.

It really isn't worth it I got it off amazon for 45 bucks and still feel like I overpaid.

It is fun and worth it if you do not have ncaa football 12 but if you do then it is basically the same.

It's not worth the $60 price tag because imo there are no games that are ever worth price tag, especially games that are made/published by EA.

It's worth renting first, and if you really like it, then wait until it drops to half price.

That is also true.

Depends on how big a fan you are of the franchise and college football fan in general. Worth it to me since I love football games. To an average college/football fan i would say no.

I buy it every year because I have a small group of guys that do the online dynasty and I'd say I'm quiet pleased with this years version. The fact that defenders actually need to be looking at the ball to react has removed the old no look jump pass block that was always there before. The recruiting is MUCH better than in years past. But overall its still football so it gets repetitive after awhile and frankly I don't really like the achievement list this year. My brother in law and I both have experienced the freezing issue as well which can be frustrating but all in all its a good game...

Sorry to gravedig, but I just picked this up for $45 yesterday. I didn't buy last year's edition because of the fear of repetition that EA likes to do so well, but from what I've been hearing I'm not missing out on much between '12 and '13. Same gameplay, updated rosters, unis, and graphics. Par for the course.

Just for achievements?
No
For fun?
I guess if you start a dynasty and stick with it without messing with the sliders
