About a month and half ago i was up there in ranks when it came to achivements. But school and moving and looking for a new job have prevent me from keeping up. After renting Mlb 2k6 this week my xbox froze and then it never came back up. It does nothing but sits by its self in the corner blinking its mean and ugly red lights at me. Xbox says they have to sent it in for repairs but what will i do? another 3 weeks with out my xbox. That means that everyone will have a super lead on me and i will have to spend a week locked in my room doing nothing but playing games. I am really mad that my xbox has died....... RIP Bevans Xbox 360 may it come back with even more achivements completed.

also if your 360 is running really slow or seems to be breaking down microsoft hotline told me to clear my cache and it worked it goes alot faster and works alot better to clear your 360 cache restart your 360 and hold a on the opening 360 symbol screen and it will be cleared
ps it wont erase any achievments or saves on your harddrive or anything

I've had my 360 since LAUNCH day.. Waited in line about 9-10 hours.

The ONLY problem I've had is game freezes too..
However, My 360 runs slow when I start it up sometimes..

I WOULD do the Cache clear thing but to be honest it scares me a little..LoL

I've had my 360 since mid december and I have been lucky enough not to have any problems with it. (knock on wood)

Has anyone sent their 360 in for the 3 blinking red lights and got it back? I'm just curious as to how long it took. Mine just went out today. :(

I got my XBox 360 Around Feb...I don't think the Store ran a Garuntee, or whether it came with it because I was never offered any. If I ever got the Dreaded 3 Red Lights Of Death...Am I Liable for a Repair...Or should I send off for the Insurance thing that came with my XBox 360?

Me and my older brother (thieflordgamer) got the same thing yesterday...
For now we're just leaving it alone and making sure we don't turn it on or anything.

you have to send it in within 10 days of purchasing the 360, kinda late considering you got it in feb. :p

Yeah, my 360 has been fine since November when I got it, but yesterday games were freezing in like 30 seconds and eventually I got the 3 red lights and it wouldn't turn on. I don't want to send it in, I just got table tennis, and galaga, pacman, and street fighter are coming out soon. I turned it on this morning but it froze, and then the red lights again.... crap.

same happened to mine when it messed up on me i ended up buying a new one and sent in the card thing for the new 1 :D

if you got the same problem i had, then it'll cost $130 (or around there) if you diddnt send in the card thing when you got it

Damn it. 130 bucks... Damn you Microsoft! Hopefully it will turn out better than that. If not, goodbye Zune and goodbye PS3.

I just did the troubleshooting on xbox.com/support and that didn't help (what a surprise). I did a private chat with a support guy and I told him I already did the troubleshooting. Of course the only help he had to offer was telling me the troubleshooting I had already done. So, looks like I'm gonna have to call.

Is there any other way to Insure my beloved 18 Buttoned Friend.

I may Bump this to the ends of the Earth until I get an answer for this :(

you cant really fake a registration. Microsoft has records of which 360's were sold when(serial numbers) so if you try to register it for insurance late they will call BS on you. i hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is the nature of the beast.

***Hellz Manik, i do the clear cache thing at least once every other week. From what I have seen, it acts like a defragmenting application?

If you ask me, it's kind of ridiculous that you don't get a free year warranty with the thing. I've had problems with 2 Nintendo DS's, but they were within a year and Nintendo had a very smooth process going. I've also had a Gamecube break, and now my 360! I'm telling you, I don't do it, I'm bad luck or something. But something 400 dollars should have at least a year warranty.

I already grasped the '10 Day Or We Don't Give A Shit' Card that came with my XBox 360...I was just wondering whether they ran another way to insure it, like on Xbox.com? I'm really shitting it about my 360 now!

Okay, is your 360 F'ed right now or is this hypothetical?

No, I'm just worried incase it does fuck up and Microsoft won't exactly replace it unless I used the Insurance offer they gave me within in the distribution box. I was just wondering if there was a different way around it...Apart from going to an Insurance Company :(
