So I was on Facebook earlier, and saw an article on GameInformer's wall about Angry Birds being ported to consoles. Supposedly, it's the original trilogy (Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio), with Kinect support (don't know if it'll require Kinect) and it will retail for $40, more than the iOS version.

So who thinks it's a good idea, and who thinks they'll stick with the mobile version? I'm pretty much on the fence on this one...

I'm not surprised, it sold like hotcakes on the iOS so I don't see why they wouldn't port it out, it's already on the PS3/PSP as a Mini, it's been there for some time.

I'm not interested though, I've never really seen the appeal of the games.

Cool, but I doubt I'll bother. Getting an iPhone soon, I'll just play on there.

Got it on my iPod, wouldn't mind if it comes to xbox. :)

It depends on how it looks, how much it is, and if it requires Kinect.

Never seen the appeal of this game, but if its bringing fans of the game to xbox live then go for it.

Don't think I will purchase this for $40... Didn't really enjoy the game a whole lot anyways.

Okay...I'll be the odd guy here but I've tried it on my iPad and I couldn't get into it. But, not every game is for everyone.

I mean I've played them all, it's fun but get old really fast. Not worth $40.

Definitely going to be a purchase, but only once it gets heavily discounted. I'm a fan of mini games though, so it would be something to do while waiting for game sessions to start.

I heard it has Kinect support, but I don't know if it's required. If it is required, then I won't bother. I don't have Kinect, and I don't plan to buy it. Most, if not all Kinect games aren't that spectacular (mainly due to spotty recognition), plus there's nothing wrong with playing with a good old-fashioned controller.

I think thats stupid 40 bucks just for the games when I can go get them for free? They should be free too.

I'm so glad these are coming out on the Xbox. I have too much money and need a reason to spend it on something.

Eh, my daughter will get a kick out of it since she likes Angry Birds. So throw in some Kinect gameplay and she'll love it.

Won't be buying it, played it rarely on my phone.

This is the part where I face an internal struggle between trying out a classic on my favorite system... or rolling my eyes and refusing to play such a mainstream game.
I knew it would happen someday...

I have them all on my phone, the free versions with ads, and they're a great time filler for when you're bored. I've maxed out the stars on Angry Birds Rio.

As for my xbox, no thanks. If I am on my xbox, I don't need angry birds.

$40? >_>

Thought this was good news, especially with Kinect support, until that bit. What the hell.

The only game I would play right now on Kinect is Fruit Ninja, but even then it's not worth buying Kinect.

I think in its current state it's not the best approach. If anything make it an arcade release. Plus how are the seriously leaving the Space variant out when that was a great addition to the series. Oh well, we'll see how it does as a retail.

They will probably make the space a DLC add-on.

Personally I can't stand the games, but I can understand the appeal. They're packing three games into one, adding some HD graphics and priced it less then $60, so chances are people will pick this up. I doubt it'll explode in sales but it should do well.

That's gonna be a painful 400 pointer. I have it on my iPhone anyways.

Or I can buy them all on my iPod for $3. Oh wait, I already have. If I ever see it lying around in a bargain bin for $5 I may pick it up.

I hate Angry Birds. I tried playing it, but I couldn't get into it. They should have an xbox version of Temple Run because that game is fun.

I finally hit all the objectives in that game. Now that I think about it that would be perfect for a Kinect Arcade game. Jump gaps, logs, duck under fire, hmm....

I have had it on p my PSP for quite some time, i have never seen that much of an appeal either. I think that it is more of a little kids games, it's only good if you don't have anything else, and it certainly ain't worth 40 bucks.

If it works like wreckateer for kinect, that'll be cool.

But if not ... Pointless

I played it on my friend's phone. It was ok. Something I would play off and on. Would I pay for it? No way. $40 is ridiculous for this game

lets see...pay $40 or...

http://chrome.angrybirds.com/

thats right up there with XBL charging you for South Park episodes when Viacom has every episode for free on demand right on http://www.southparkstudios.com/ i can understand buying media on XBL for stuff you would have to pay some other service to get(Amazon/Hulu/Netflix) but if you pay for media that the owners of it are supplying for free thats just lazy and dumb. spend the 40 bucks on a compatible video cable to use your HDTV as a duel-view and a 5 dollar USB extension cable for your mouse and keyboards or get a wireless with rechargeable batteries, if you're excuse is that you dont want to sit at your computer.

same goes for music videos on XBL...srsly Youtube much? firefox addons to save it if you want to keep it much? lol

it was just listed on Gamefly a few days ago, so now ill check it out. if its extremely addicting and still has add-ons coming ill get the digital download version

but i just find it funny considering Rovio's initial claim a year or 2 ago was that was that the game wouldn't work with controller analogue sticks or they couldnt figure out how to develop it for ppl playing on their computer wanting to use the xbox controller for it, rather than mouse.
