I paid almost $200 for my X41 headset almost a year ago. I used them for almost 5 hours before I sat it on top of my broken Xbox 360 and I haven't thought of using them again.

Unless I can find a headset that is compatible with the Xbox 360, PS3 and preferably the PC, I will spend big. If not, then I know I will never buy an expensive headset ever again!

Astros work on all three I'm pretty sure.

I have a godly pair of Sennheisers that I use when I really feel like being immersed in my games. I usually stick to the default microsoft mic when I'm playing online though. I don't like having game noise and voices coming through the same thing. So, no, I won't be getting those. They do look nice though.

The best part of a gaming experience is those first few weeks where you love the sound so much that you crank the TV up super loud and fire away. Not sure why people always ruin it with meaningless headsets.

Oh....if I had the money for it. I'll just settle for the controller. My Turtle Beach headphones are enough for now.

That, and a price drop. :p

I agree. If/When you're looking to Upgrade, The XP500 is Absolutely Fantastic.

If you love the Sound so much why would you Not get a Headset?

There are Various reasons to Use a Headset. Besides the obvious reason that A good headset gives you exponentially better sound quality than a TV, I for one am considerate of my Neighbors - Its pretty rude to Blast the TV no matter what time of day it is. And my Wife does not enjoy the loud game when she's doing homework or trying to watch tv in the other room. My Headset allows me to get Excellent Sound Quality, at any Volume I want it, without Disturbing anyone else.

I heard that Astro has the best gaming headsets. Here's the A50 (http://www.astrogaming.com/a50/a50-wireless-system?cid=001|Google|BrandPlus&keyword={keyword}&matchtype={matchtype}&mobile={ifmobile:1}&content={ifcontent:1}&search={ifsearch:1}&creative={creative}&adpos={adposition}&gclid=CKaRoe-J2bECFcLCKgodrGUAyQ), which is supposed to be the best on the market.
