Super Monkey Ball is a tilt control game where you guide a little monkey encased in a transparent ball to victory by tilting and rolling him through a variety of slopes and turns. The controls are difficult to get used to and so it is recommended that before starting the game you check out the Tutorial through the Help & Options >> Help menu. This will teach you how to hold your phone correctly and also show how sensitive the system is.

Introduction:
For the most part Super Monkey Ball isn’t particularly difficult, with a lot of stages which only take a few tries to get the hang of. However, there are some extremely challenging and infuriating stages, which is why the difficulty rating is as it is. As for the time needed to complete the game, it largely depends on skill. There is the possibility that someone could complete every level on their first try, although it is highly unlikely. The reality is that it will probably take a lot more than 10 hours to get the full 200:gsicon:. Crowned Champion isn’t glitched per say, but the achievement description for it is wrong as it requires getting a crown on every stage of every world, not just a single world.

Step 1: Play through each stage
After learning how to handle the controls, play through every stage in each of the five worlds. Try to collect all of the bananas without dying to get a crown on as many stages as possible, but don’t worry if you fail to get a crown on the majority of stages as it is a difficult feat. This will net you at least 125:gsicon: and perhaps even all but the Crowned Champion achievement, as well as to help you become much better with the controls.

Step 2: Practice mode
Your next step is to practice the stages that you didn’t get a crown on the first time around. As you must play through 10 stages at once, I recommend trying each one that you still need a crown on within the first set (or the first set that you haven’t already finished), until you are sure you can finish them all within a couple of attempts in the main game.

Step 3: Main game
Now go back to the main game and select the first 10 stages and play through until you get a crown on each one. Refer to the achievement guide for some extra tips on how to do this if you need help.

Step 4: Hidden stage
After achieving a crown on every stage in a set you will unlock a hidden stage. You can reach it by playing through the set in the main game. Again, practice is the key so go into practice mode until you are sure you can get a crown.

Step 5: Rinse and repeat
Go back to Step 2 for the next set that you are missing some crowns on and follow the guide once more until you have finished every world. This is not an easy task, so don’t expect to be able to do this without a good deal of time and effort.

Conclusion:
All in all the only thing that you must do in Super Monkey Ball is get a crown on each stage, something which is much easier said than done. If you manage to finish the game, congratulations on a difficult 200:gsicon:!

For each of these achievements you must beat all 20 stages in the relevant world. You don’t need to collect any of the bananas and it doesn’t matter if you lose any lives, you simply must pass through the goal in every stage (other than the bonus levels which you can’t fail).

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1757/-AgUPQ==.jpgCrowned Champion - 25:gsicon:
Get a crown on every stage of a world

Although the achievement description for this says that you need all crowns in a world, you in fact need to get a crown on every stage of every world, which amounts to a total of 110 stages. That being said, this is the most difficult achievement in the game and the one which requires the most time.

To get a crown on a stage you must collect all bananas on it, without falling off or running out of time. This is extremely difficult on some levels and so it is recommended that you use practice mode until you are sure you can get the crown in as few attempts as possible.

The most annoying thing about getting crowns is that the stages are in sets of 10, and you must complete each stage to move on to the next. This means that, for example, if you only need a crown on the 10th stage of a set then you must complete the first 9 stages, collect all of the bananas in the 10th and pass through the goal without falling off or running out of time. If you don’t then you have to reach that stage again for another first attempt. However, a slight workaround that I found was that if you need a crown on a stage but fail on your first attempt, you can keep falling off the level until you lose all of your lives. It then gives an option of using one of five continues. By using a continue you get another first attempt at that level. If you fail again, repeat the process. Not only do you then technically have 6 attempts at a stage, but you can also practice it with the lives you need to lose. You don’t need to worry about using the continues either as you get them back every time you start a new set.

The 5th stage of each set is a bonus level where you must collect 25 bananas within the time limit to get a crown. These stages cannot be failed and so if you run out of time or fall off before collecting all of the bananas then you must complete the previous four stages again to reach it. This also means that the continue trick does not work on bonus levels.

After achieving a crown on every stage of a set of you will unlock a hidden stage. You must also get a crown on each of these hidden stages for the achievement. They are not necessarily more difficult than some of the normal stages, although I found the first and last ones took the most time to get a crown on. If you fail to get a crown on a hidden stage then you can use the continue trick, but if you run out of tries you must go through the whole set again to reach it.

There was previously a trick where if you hit the windows button you could resume your game as a first attempt, keeping all of your bananas and so making it much easier to get a crown on every stage. However, the game has been patched so that this no longer works which also means if you quit the game for any reason, whether it is accidental or intentional, you will have to start a set again.

The only real tips that I can give are to persevere and stay calm. Trying to get this achievement can get very annoying, so if you find yourself getting frustrated then take a break. Trying to play when frustrated will only lead you to rush levels and fall off, which leads to another tip: take your time. There are only a few stages in which you must go quickly to collect all of the bananas and reach the goal in the time limit. Try every level going slow and if you find you run out of time then you know the technique, you just need to speed up. There are some stages which may seem impossible at first but I can assure you that they are not. If you come across an awkward ramp with twists and turns, remember how the tutorial said to hold your phone and move slowly. For stages that have moving platforms, concentrate on staying on the platform rather than getting any bananas and once you have a decent balance you can collect them. Most important of all is to stay in control. One sudden movement of your phone will cause the ball to jerk and move too fast, making you quickly turn the other way and the majority of the time will cause you to fall off.

Collect all of the bananas before finishing a level

There are 10 bananas in each stage (except the bonus levels). Collect all 10 of the bananas in one stage before heading through the goal. Note that if you fail by falling off or running out of time you will keep all of the bananas that you collected, so as long as you donít run out of lives you can collect any which you missed and then finish the level still for this achievement. The easiest stage for this is probably the first.

Collect all of the bananas on a bonus level

The 5th stage in a set is a bonus level, so that is the 5th and 15th stages in each world. In these you have the same 60 second time limit but 25 bananas to collect. You cannot fail a bonus level but if you run out of time or fall off you will continue on the next stage and so would have to play through the first four stages again to get to it. To earn this achievement you must collect all 25 bananas which will also earn you a crown for that bonus level. The easiest stage for this is probably the 5th of the Monkey Island World.

Cheers :)
The only thing I spotted was that in the Crowned Champion description, under Best Method to use you wrote "By using a continue you get another first attempts at that level." Not sure if it's that important but you accidentally added an 's' on :p.
Thanks again though:)
