I dont understand why all these americans and canadians complain about paying $60 for a game. Get real!!!! over here in the United Kingdom we have to pay £49.99 which i basically the equivelant to about $110 so if anyone should be complaining its people in the U.K.

sorry if there has already been a post about this, didn't have time to check

Could it be that wages are probably the same in both countries? I.E. a person in the US that makes $100,000 a year would probably make £100,000 in the UK? It all works out in the end. At least you guys can fly to the US and buy a state or two with the fucked up exchange rate. I buy a DVD I can only get from the UK and that shit costs me $35. Besides, you can't blame us OR game companies for VAT. Go egg 11 Downing Street or something.

Blame Canada

Sheila: Times have changed
Our kids are getting worse
They won't obey their parents
They just want to fart and curse!
Sharon: Should we blame the government?
Liane: Or blame society?
Dads: Or should we blame the images on TV?
Sheila: No, blame Canada
Everyone: Blame Canada
Sheila: With all their beady little eyes
And flapping heads so full of lies
Everyone: Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Sheila: We need to form a full assault
Everyone: It's Canada's fault!
Sharon: Don't blame me
For my son Stan
He saw the damn cartoon
And now he's off to join the Klan!
Liane: And my boy Eric once
Had my picture on his shelf
But now when I see him he tells me to fuck myself!
Sheila: Well, blame Canada
Everyone: Blame Canada
Sheila: It seems that everything's gone wrong
Since Canada came along
Everyone: Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Copy Guy: They're not even a real country anyway
Ms. McCormick: My son could've been a doctor or a lawyer rich and true,
Instead he burned up like a piggy on the barbecue
Everyone: Should we blame the matches?
Should we blame the fire?
Or the doctors who allowed him to expire?
Sheila: heck no!
Everyone: Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Sheila: With all their hockey hullabaloo
Liane: And that bitch Anne Murray too
Everyone: Blame Canada
Shame on Canada
For...
The smut we must stop
The trash we must bash
The Laughter and fun
Must all be undone
Before someone thinks of blaming uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus!!!!

anyways, games would be ALOT cheaper if there werent so many hackers and people tryin to copy the games

If you know where to look in the UK, you can get most games around £34.99-39.99 (at most). Some sites are even reducing games to £17 ($30 approx.)

The 18 quid game is Amped though, lol!

Tesco - £40
Play.com - £40-£45
Game - £50

Tesco rule!

Companies like Screenselect rent out 360 games. I'll be using them at uni next year.

Where I actually live I think there's 3, maybe 4, so they shouldn't get suspect:)

Hmmm seems like you are the one complaining Canadianbohy. Anyways, if you cant rent buy new copys off of Ebay. I bought 5 games at launch. (4 $60 dollar games and 1 $50.) Including shipping it cost me about $198.00. If I bought them in the store it would have been $313.20.

I mostly buy like 1 game per month. Since I got GnF though I have only bought 1 game (oblivion). I sold all my old games also except PGR3 (still want to get some points in that at some point). Next game I'm buying is Top Spin 2 so Minty will be friends with me.

I've brought a few of my games of Ebay myself (PGR3, COD2, PDZ) because they are all launch titles they were all 25quid each including p+p. If you look around on ebay you find some damn good bargins at times. The only game i brought full price so far is Oblivion. which was 48quid but it sure was worth it. I must be on about a pound per hour of gameplay on that game by now.

As for game prices in general i tend to buy pre-owned games. I get most of my games (for all formats) from a place called Insane games (small independant shop) and have got really friendly with them in there and they now ring me if a game comes in second hand that i want and they hold it back for me.
