I was just wondering why they chose 307 as the magic number of kills, why not just stop at an even 300?

I've never watched a John Woo movie, so I don't know if there's some special significance to it, or whether it was just a number pulled out of a hat at some corporate meeting one day while the execs were eating take-out

The total body count from Hard Boiled.

Seriously, that's all that's in Hard Boiled?

Hmmm, somehow in my head I saw it as being much more than that, with how much people are complaining about how hard it is.

Now that is not a condemnation upon them, far from it, I don't even have the patience to try, I'm happy with my measly points from Normal, but with how much talk there is I somehow expected the body count to be much higher.

I think 307 is referring to the body count in Hard Boiled, the movie.... not the game mode.

Correct me if im wrong though....

I'm looking it up on IMBD, body count for the movie is 230.

And damn sure seems like this game is based on that movie.

i cant believe everybody i've played this game with has never even seen the movie before.

The film begins as an apparently straightforward film about the bond between a cop and an undercover cop as they fight a triad (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triad_society) gang. However, it develops into an over two hour action extravaganza, with a body count of 307.

IMDB is user-edited, just as Wiki is..

I trust Wiki more though.

Dont hurt me :) but the PS3 version comes with the movie hard boiled if i am correct to add to the link to the movie. After all a lot of the scenes and sections of the game are pretty much a port almost from the movie.

damn good fun and one of the few games to prove to actually be a challange at times.

This is the same cop that was in Hard Boiled as far as i am aware.
I never understood why they didnt follow this on They did with A Better Tommrrow one of Cow Yun Fats best films but then he was never in the sequals for good reason.

Are you talking about "A Better Tomorrow"?

Not sure what you are talking about, Chow Yun was in both "A Better Tomorrow" 2 and 3. He plays the same character as he did in 1 in 3 (Mark Lee) and plays a different one in 2.

Both were Starring roles, so he wasn't walking in the background or dropping in for a cameo for 6 seconds.

And John Woo said in a recent interview that he's writing a sequel to Hard Boiled, but he won't direct it.
