Well I have had my xbox 360 for almost a year now, my gamerscore is about 16000 and I think I will quit maybe in 1-2 years with 25000+ Gamerscore, how long will you last?

EDIT - Too many people are not posting what I expected to be posted, sorry, it was my fault I was not clear enough, here is what to post for;

1. IF if you ever quit gaming when will it be? (this does not mean you will, but just for the hell of it..)

2. What do you think your Gamerscore will be?

3. what would the reason be, IF you ever quit?

I'll last as long as there are games I love to play. Why would I quit? In the end I'm playing for the games, not the score.

I've had my Xbox for about 9 months now and I have 25,000 points.

I have pretty much stopped going out of my way for achievements, unless its a game I enjoy. I play the games I like for fun, not gamerscore! :)

No one actually ever quits when they say their going to. People just fade away from things.

I'll probably never quit playing games, Im just natrally a games player, not just videogames but card games, backgammon stuff like that. If its a game and theres a winner at the end or a goal to be achieved, ill play it.

As far as quiting gamerscore, Ive thought about this for a while now, I love getting achievements but im pretty dissappointed with my % completion, this is due to playing games which I just dont enjoy.

So I think when my next live supscription is up, ill create a new GT and just focus on games I enjoy and completeing those.

I will die with a 360 controller in my hand.

Well you'll be dieing with a really old game controller in your hand by the time you die. It's like dieing holding a NES controller now.

Until the new Xbox console is released. Gaming is a major passion of mine so I won't ever really quit. Since my 360 broke, I moved back to PS2. I can't live without gaming to be honest. It's my anti-drug. :D

I won't stop and I will play xbox 360 forever until they release a new xbox console.

I may have to force myself to stop gaming this year what with it being an important year at college but damn, it's easier said than done. >.<

It's DEFINITELY easier said than done my friend!

Only time I'll stop gaming is when they stop making games consoles and the ones I had before they stopped making games consoles break.

If you mean when I'll calm down on my Gamerscore, then it's most likely when I hit 100k that I'll take a chill pill. :)

Lol, there's the competitive element though. Many more people will have 100K by then (maybe) and people will keep pushing to impress the community. Far easier said than done. :D

I would quit when my gamerscore equals that of Roofus (legitimately). When will that be? When hell freezes over. Stupid Gamesavers.

Surely age is irrelevant? I mean I was born with a controller in my mouth, but then I might not play for weeks at a time.

Ill keep playing my 360 until someone relases a gaming console that fits me better. I hope to get over 50k points some day but if I do I wont stop because off it :)

I'll quit when Grand Emperor Jack Thompson makes all gamers work in the Play Doh mines of Gra'Katur for eternity, or when I lose three thumbs.

If playing games gets in the way of something more important or if someone threatens to burn my drapes then I'd call it a day. Although if EA manage to drown out all competition by flooding the market with thousands of identical (and crap) game franchises so no other games are released I would throw my power brick into the Sun, twice.

My 360 will quit before I do! I want to see my gamerscore hit the 100K plateau before I even THINK about quitting.

1. When it's physically impossible for me to play games, or when games get so bad and boring that I just don't care for them anymore.

2. Over 100,000, but still below everyone else D:

3. I'm dead, my hands fell off, Halo 34 is released, etc.

Never stop gaming.

1. Hopefully I won't be quitting anytime soon. I plan to keep with it, and take my 360 to college if I decide to go.

2. I think breaking the 50,000 Gamerscore mark would be an amazing achievement for me. I'd be happy to end with it over 50,000.

3. Reasons I would quit is because it's affecting my social life, or I'm just too busy to play (though I know I'd still try and find time to play :p).

I will quit when school work becomes a hassle and life becomes a hassle (a GF hopefully, getting a job...)

I'm aiming at 20k by the end of the year and since I dont know when I am quitting I'm not sure what my GS will be. I will not quit when my GS gets to a certain number though...

I've been thinking about selling my 360 soon so I can focus and that stuff a little more. Maybe go get a degree and get my career started and once I get my own place I plan on getting a 360 again, or if there's a newer better system, I'll get that one.

2. What do you think your Gamerscore will be?

3. what would the reason be, IF you ever quit?

1. When I start getting arthritis in my hands. Hopefully by then new types of controllers will be made.

2. Hoping to make it to 50k IF my 360 cooperates. Not really interested in gamescore too much anymore since the system is so broken.

3. IF/WHEN I quit GAMESCORING, it would be because my 360 broke AGAIN!!!!! And I refuse to pay to get it fixed.

Assuming Gamerscore carries on to the next Xbox, and the one after that, my Gamerscore will stop increasing when I die!
If it doesn't carry on... I'll probably play it for another 5 years... so maybe... 50000?

I intend to keep gaming and building my gamerscore for as long as the achievement system is in place. Only time i could see stopping is if my carpel tunnel got so bad i could'nt use a controller anymore. Not sure what my score would be when and if I had to stop tho.

I don't think I will quit gaming any time soon as there is always new things coming out

However it would be nice if your gamer score carried over when the next xbox console comes out and you can keep adding to it

I don't think I would ever 'quit' gaming. Sometimes I'll play every day for a month, and then I won't turn my PS2/X360 on for a week, but it's always there.

Oh, you meant about the whole gaming thing...

I plan to slow down on the gamerscore, whenever I hit 100,000. But I never plan to stop gaming.

:whs As i feel now i would love to get to 100K but circumstances may change but i can't imagine totally giving up on gaming ever, but i will probably cut back a little, i can't imagine gaming 3 hours a day when i'm in my twenties.

Meh, I'll never quite. Been doing it for just under 30 years so far.

I suppose, though:

1. IF if you ever quit gaming when will it be? (this does not mean you will, but just for the hell of it..)
- When I hit 65 and retire from my job and my "normal life"

2. What do you think your Gamerscore will be?
- Hopefully around the 100,000 point mark.

3. what would the reason be, IF you ever quit?
- Going blind or moving to a villa on the Mexican Riviera that lacks a good game store or electricity.

So what would you do instead at 65? Play solitaire with a real deck of cards?:p

As for the gamerscore part, I wish i could quit that now and only play the good games that i want to play, but they dont release fast enough so i stay hooked on the gs.

As long as I'm physically able to play, I'll always be a gamer. I'll always have time for a good console no matter how old and withered i get.

been Playing games since they were a quarter. If I didn't stop at Dragon's Lair and that damned Lizard King....I will not stop for the wack ass underling bosses That the new games have to offer.

But hypothetically...

100,000 gamerscore

and when all games go the route of Superman 64....or Shaq Fu.

I don't think I ever will. No negotiation there. I'll be the one closing the door to this place after you're all gone.
