hi so i was just wandering how do you prefer to get your achievements. there are two ways one way is to get 1000 gs on a couple of game's. Or like me get about 500/800 on loads of games.

i am definitely a 1000/1000 kind of guy. if i start a game, i will finish it sometime, somehow. there are glaring exceptions, however, like starting DoA4. smooth move by me.

I always start a game with the intention of finishing it but if I get frustrated I set it down and start another one. I have recently been going back through my games trying to inch my way to the end of a few. I just finished R6V the other night. That was cool!

im deffinatley mix and match.

it really depends on how many points/achievements are left.
im not going to bust my ass to get the last 80 points or whatever in madden 07, i have better things to do.
but with the godfather for some reason i felt the need to spend 4 hours of my life stuck at level 49.

It kind of depends on the game type for me. I have a lot of FPS where I'm short by alot, GRAW, GoW, R6V, Lost Planet, and others. Mostly its the online acheivements I lack, but with GSL going on I haven't been able to go after them; thats for after the season is over with. But even with the games I do play for GSL I'm stretching for 1000 just to maximize the outcome. Simulating a football game for ump-teen hours if need be. The pain of it is I'm so tired and bored with it I just want to quit at the 875 points I do have and be done with it.

I would usually get the 1000. Before, I had such a beef with leaving games empty. But not so much anymore. At one point I was hovering around 93% on my perpetualheaven account.

I try my very best to MAX out games to a full 1000 or 1250 Gamerscore. The same goes for XBLA games.

Sadly, I have more games than time. My % is horrible. It's probably around 40% or less, but I really can't help it. If I could buy time, I would.

I would love to get 1,000/1,000 on every game I've played, but some of the Achievements are just too damn hard. So I guess I do a little of both. Like right now, I'm trying to get the 1,000 in The BIGS, but the 1,000,000 Pinball is driving me insane! It's the last Achievement I have to get! :p

basically i play a game until i get so damn frustrated with it that i give up. I do have a habit of not wanting to put in a game but once i do i will be fine. My % is horrible but i do go through games to finish them. I know i will be going through bioshock at least once more maybe twice so that i can zip through the game on Hard. But i will re-rent a game many months later to finish that last 100 Gamerpoints

I get to 50% and tend to give up. For example, I'm missing 270 points on CoD3... I don't feel like doing it on Veteran or getting another 20k points in the online. I'm at 720 in Crackdown... I just REALLY don't feel like getting the last 280 for 1k and then 250 more=(.

I sold CoD2 so I can't finish the last 500 but I REALLY do want to finish it mainly because I know it'll be easy for me. That's what I get for becoming lazy=P

Its all good buddy, after all I'm the one thats simulately (again) for the remaining 85 points in Madden 07 right now. After that? NCAA 07, but at least I've taken care of the simming for that one; thank God. :drunk

heh, and i thought i was the only one to give up on games and start a new one after 4 hours of trying to get 1 achievement.

ohhh youre so lucky. i was hoping to round off my 990 by importing the draft class from NCAA08 but nooooooooooo. i have to go sim 60 years of franchise and get the 1000 for NCAA07. my limit is 30 years. oh and while im ranting about choosing to have no life for achievements, i still have to do 7 day to finish up dead rising. cant wait.

USUALLY max out a game but if some games take too long I'll leave it and come back at a later date.

I'm with jdm.I like to finish most of my games with 1000 but some of them is definitely not worth it. 60 years in NCAA 07 is too ridiculous.

I like to finish my games, but thats not always possible. I have completed almost 20 Retail games, so thats a good percentage I'd say...

I used to just be a gamerscore freak, trying to get as much easy points as possible to inhance the rivalry between my friends who also had high gamerscore. Thing is with the cheaters out there it spoiled the fun big time, so I decided to quit my rental service and instead focus on getting 1000 gamerscore on hard/time consuming games. :)

If it's a game I really enjoy I will try to get all the achievements for it. But if it's just a so-so game, I really won't care.

seriously? that is pretty insane if you have NO 1000 for any game. i mean damn how many games have you played?

It all depends on the game with me,although it does bug me when I start a game, get a few points, then not like the game (like my 5/1250 on M:UA) but if it's a game I like I'll get as much as possible.

I try to get 1000, but I always lose patience, and like Jdm i have more games than time sadly... :(

I chose I do both, 'cause I can't find time to get achievements 'cause I'm always buying more games!

Definitely a mix and match kinda person. I get bored of most games really fast.

I play the games with the intention of beating the game, plain and simple. After that, I go for achievements I may have missed. Some games I just don't have the patience for or interest, so I just ignore em.

for the most part i like to get all of them. i dont feel the game is accomplished entirely until i've got the full 1k (or 1250) but obviously there are several games that is impossible for me to do (because of glitched / non working achievements) and because of other games that the achievement is way too far out of reach (leaderboard crap on graw or coop on guitar hero)

so i like to beat 100% of the game with all achievements, otherwise i don't consider it complete.
as of recent, i've gone back to hitman to finish it!

I'll always aim to get 1000, but generally I would consider 750 or so to be more or less enough. I have kept my completion at about 75% for a while so I might step it up to 80-85% soon and just complete some of those older games.
