Hey guys,

I was wondering whether you would advise buying the game or renting it.

Im looking for something with some comedy as well as a multi play feel to it.

Just overall thought's of the game and its features would be great...

The comedy in it is great, one of the funniest games i've seen.

The multi-player is o-k but isn't all that, can be helpful in certain missions.

It has clichés in it describing what all games have and how orgiginal they are, quite funny captions.

After you complete a mission, you unlock a time challenge, defeat this challenge and you get 5g and the achievement, they're quite fun.

The only reason I would say buy is because the amount of time it takes to get the level's target times and the Collectables, there's a certain amount of them in each level and 75 per charachter in springfield.

If your planning in 1000g - Buy
If your just looking to finish the levels and have some fun - rent

Thanks for the help Splazar and Razza.

When I get the cash I will look to buy this after I have forked out for Assassins Creed etc, but sounds great and again thanks for the help.

I think it is a purchase if you are looking for getting the 1000gs...thagame you say you are on day 2 of your rental and you're already done, but you only have 370 gs. It takes a while to get 1000.

I say rent, I gather that from the demo and the IGN review. IGN said it's a VERY quick game, but ALOT of fun for simpsons fans and it's basically like watching simpsons with the same voices and same writers and they poke fun at EA games. I just ordered this on my Gamefly as i did like the demo, but can't really buy a game without too much replay value. Hope that helps. :uzi:

This game is worth buying but you should get it if you are a fan of the simpsons.

It's an easy 1000. (Under 10 hours for all) Rent if you are an achievement whore, buy if you are a fan.

60 bucks for a game you really aren't gonna get much life out of is pretty steep. This one is a good title but falls short of the i need to purchase this category.

IMO a gamefly rental is a little different than renting it from a store. I use gamefly and if I need to keep a game longer than a week I can. Its perfect for trying to get all 1000 points on games you don't wanna buy. Think about it its $15 a month for a game. It be like buying a game for 15 bucks a month, and every month you get a chance at a new game. Plus I've purchase a couple games cheap that I want to work on more if I decide I wanna keep it.

You will only find the storyline funny and engaging once
The achievements are actually very easy to get
I am currently trying to sell my game...

Definitly rent it too quick of a story to be worth $60

I say rent. I did and I'm about finished with the game and will hopefully have the full 1000 before I return it. If not I'll just rent it again so I can finish it since I'll be really close.

I say, go find another game. In my opinion, this is the worst game I have ever played. For one;

- The game and camera controls are terrible
- The graphics aren't great, but are an improvement on the older-crappier Simpson releases.
- The cutscenes look good, but it's just not funny (like season 14 and above kind of funny (which isn't))
- Achievements look simple, but really are too time consuming and boring.

In other words, so many other games that are worth buying over this one. I just really hated it, and refuse to go back and finish it off. It can stay at 950G for the rest of my life for all I care. Only thing that made me laugh was the Borat style poster of Homer on the game engine level.

Buy. I loved this game. Got it the day it came out and just recently put it back in and finished the fast times achievement for the 1K.

I wouldn't buy it. I have rented it and it just gives you a headache. The humor in the game is fantastic but the actual play isn't very good. The camera angles are bad, and (this could just be for me) the auto-save doesn't always work.

I'd say rent it for some fun, but don't buy it. But hey, do what you want to do.

Definitely a rental. The game itself is pretty short but at least the achievements give you incentive for playing it after the story. Still not enough to warrant a purchase a very fun rental.

I love the Simpsons but the game is just rental quality I'm afraid. Unless you pick it up at Target for $12.50 like I did. In that case, what the hell, may as well pick it up.

I got this game from Gamefly 4 days ago, and I got the 1000 this morning. So, unless you see yourself playing it over and over and over, it just isn't big enough to be more than a rent.

No real replay value after the game is complete from what I see, so I would advise a rent.

Just rented it today. I love the Simpsons, but due to the awkward camera I would say rent.

Yeah I just rented this game. The story took me 8 hours and 17 minutes. That was going at an average pace. It netted me 400 points. Probably another 10 hours or so to find all the collectibles. Would be a lot easier if there weren't any in Springfield, but hey, it's still fun to explore the town of my favorite show.

it was the first game i played on my 360. good story. humorus. some Swearing. Fuck Yeah.takes a bit of time getting achievements and to me there is certainly replay value.

So i would say Bye It

I haven't played it, but you might as well buy it now. Best Buy has it for $10. After spending $4-$6 for a few days renting it, why not spend a few buck more and just buy it?

Is this game worth it? I'm thinking about getting it, but not just for achievements, to play for fun.

It's a good, fun game, especially in two player. For the kind of prices you can pick it up for nowadays I'd certainly say you should buy it...the achievements are kind of fun to get too.

I just vote'd for " Buy " Because even if you don't like the game you can still add it to your collection.

I picked it up for 10 bucks at best buy. I've liked what I've played story and humor wise so far but the camera is kind of broken.

Personally, now that it's a good few months old, then you should be able to pick it up cheap. Saw it for £8, so I felt it would it would be worth the purchase.

The camera angles are sometimes a little awquard (sp?) but it's got solid humour, and it's fun to play with your friends (if they're not like my brother and don't listen to your instruction, such as in a certain boss fight with a certain treehouse of horror monster when he decided to lure it away from all the places that would allow us to reach his weak spots...).

Rent it, not fun at all. 1k gamerscore seems doable, but gets boring fast. I personally bought the game for seven dollars, and I'm still not sure if it was worth even that.

You buy it because it is now cheap and it takes a while to play if you are looking for 1000.

since it's quite cheap as it's out for a long time and because I'm a completionist and I like to coop with my girlfriend and because we like the series, I bought it. easy decision.

I say this is a great game to rent, it will take a little bit of time but once you finish all the achievements i doubt I'll even put this game back in.

i like to buy and collect my son likes to rent or exchange . nothing like having tons of games for friends of family when they come over or for letting a friend play with in exchange for one of his . also makes great hand me downs to younger family members
