McCare
As the title says, state your titles and why.... MY choices are silent hill 2 and resident evil. I recall getting the first RE made and i was fucking piss scared as a kid then, I would try to play the game during the day as much as possible. Silent hill 2 was just plain old creepy, I remember the consistent fog would keep you on edge along with what was a wonderfuly eerie atmosphere and cast of characters. As for recent titles well, I have to say that my pick is the darkness. The Darkness didnt scare me but it got intense for me and Im only refering to the hell part. I cant really say why, but the levels there just kept me on a psychological edge. As for the shock horror games, or what ever genre its called...you know where shit jumps out of a closet and scares you... well I dont like those kinda games. Sure they may make me jump every now and then but they do tend to get annoying for me.

McCare
FEAR for PC. i had to turn it off....the music and sound effects were intense One of my friends said the exact same thing about fear, wow, is it really that intense?
darkXhawk
FEAR was pretty creepy yeah, but I think back to the PSOne. Clock Tower scared the crap outta me. Also the first Manhunt.
thecrazyguy
I would have to agree with silent hill 2. That game just plane creeped me out! Couldn't really play at night alone lol. Recently tho I would say Condemned. That was one freaky ass game. Made me jump more times than I can count. I think say one of the scariest parts was in the department store, with all those weird looking manicans around, that start moving at one point. Freaky. danjohnson58
I've not been like this personally but a friend of mine couldn't play DOOM on the xbox without the lights on and music on, yet he still was jumpy.
McCare
I have to say that the older I get the less my tolerance gets for these kind of games.
twelve
FEAR for PC. i had to turn it off....the music and sound effects were intense I played through FEAR while my gf was asleep so lights off and headphones on. Thats the only time I've really felt scared by a game. The Resi Evil games have the shock horror that makes you jump and Silent Hill has the atmosphere horror that keeps you alert. But FEAR in the dark with headphones on captured it perfectly. Condemned was also pretty scary in the 2nd to last level (down in the basement). I love the survival horror games but there just don't seem to be enough. I have high hopes for Dead Space, looks like it could be a decent game, only worry I have is that it's an EA game. Darth Heyburt
Doom3 scared shit out of me. Silent Hill one was eerie because of the stabby little kids. Clocktower was just plain disturbing...Giant Scissors and a sense of desperation. and that one scene in Condemned where you open the locker, god, crapped my pants...played the game again, forgot it happened...shit my self. Bluntman428
Eternal Darkness for the GameCube, hands down. It wasn't just scary, it was frickin terrifying at parts. Your character was slowly going insane, so you'd start seeing and hearing things. Walls would start moving like a bad acid trip, flies would show up out of nowhere and land on the camera, you'd have "flashbacks", you'd see and hear monsters that weren't there. Pretty scary stuff, and the storyline was pretty crazy as well.
Cyrex
i remember playing the game darkness falls ( It was rated the worst movie game of all time) when i was like 10 and i remember the movie which scared the shit out of me because i had lost a tooth the day that i watched it... (OMG evil tooth fairy that kills you if you lose a tooth), I ended up playing the game about a week later and i was freaked out because it was almost exactly like the movie and the graphics were very good for its age but i was freaked out... i think that they discontinued the game too

I think say one of the scariest parts was in the department store, with all those weird looking manicans around, that start moving at one point. Freaky. I didn't thin Condemned was all that creepy. It has ambience but it's really not that bad. The only moment where I actually jumped out of my chair was when you're snapping the pic of the Gym Teacher stuffed in the locker. As for games that creeped me out the most... Ocarina of Time. Seriousely, those Re-Dead and Gibdos are SCARY!

Tussell
I'd go with The Thing & Condemned. Condemned is a great game, still my favorite for the 360. The Thing was just creepy. No real reason why.
DoM cAbAn
When I first saw a Berserker when I played Gears of War, it scared the shit out of me when it started chasing me. No other games really scare me though.
Sanction
Resident Evil...the first one. Me and my friends were about 8 or 9 and they decided it would be fun to play in pitch blackness, and we were playing in a basement -_-. Weird thing is, I was the last one to run out screaming like a sissy.
twelve
Why is everyone naming FEAR? All they do is show Alma or the guy you are after for a few seconds and then they dissapear, over and over and over. It confused me and made search around to where they went the first time it happend to me in the demo, but after that it got old and predictable. Play the full game then instead of judging a demo.
