View Full Version : Anyone get 1,000,000 fans yet?

I'm nearly halfway there, but along the way, we found that in order to get more fans, we couldn't allow any players to play on easy, and then (not as a result, but much later) some people left the party, and we were down to just two people, but both on hard, and we haven't hit another fan cap yet, but we're wondering if there is one. The question is: are we better off if we have more people in the band, and do we need to move up to expert to clear 1,000,000?

What are your experiences racking up fans?

Well right now I'm stuck at about 260k fans. We have 2 people on expert for guitar, and then two people on medium for drums and vocals. Im guessing that maybe everyone has to play on expert. Which doesn't seem very practical.

Maybe the achievement would be easier with just 2 people. Just have someone playing on expert with the guitar and expert with bass.

That seems like a lot of work for only 10G. I'll have to try this out and see.

When I was playing with my mom, I would play on Expert and she would play on Medium. We got about 260,000 fans and then it said that she had to move up a difficulty (which was not what she wanted to do), so we stopped. When my friend came over, we played Expert Guitar and Bass and got to 640,000 fans in a couple hours, so my suggestion is to play multi-song setlists with players that can play on Expert (if you need an Expert drummer, just have one person work the pads and another work the petal, it works greatly.)

Me and my bro play on expert, we have 2 million+ fans.

And of course, all of my friends play either on easy or medium. As far as I can tell, there's a cap that hinders you from getting higher amounts of Fans if someone is playing on a low difficulty. So, I guess my quesion is, (1) by how much does having a low-difficulty player hurt you and (2) does having more people in your band help you out?

I can tell you for sure that if a band member is on easy, you can't get above about 360,000 fans. Definetly no higher than 500,000, but whatever the number is, it's a rigid one that can't be exceeded no matter how many gigs you play.

I suspect that the number of band members affects your speed in gathering fans, but has no effect on your maximum number of fans.

Don't worry about your fans - you'll definitely get over 1 million if you play the game(especially in Amsterdam).

I'm starting to think I'll be better off playing guitar and singing by myself for BWT. You have no idea how much my friends suck at RB...

My wife and I are playing on Hard, we've capped at 600,00 fans.

From what I can tell it doesn't matter how many ppl are playing. We hit the 600K cap on hard. If everyone's not comfortable on expert, to get the million, try playing the choose your own setlists on Expert, and picking super easy guitar/bass songs like Maps, Say it Ain't So, and I Think I'm Paranoid. Also, the Bass on Wanted Dead or Alive is really easy. For all the other setlists, just play whatever you're comfortable with.

I'm sorry, did you expect us to make fun of you for playing with your sister?

920,000 fans.

i probably could reach 1 mil if i didnt have this friend who cant play bass on easy. it was embarrassing to watch

Here are the fan caps:

Easy - 49,005
Medium - 260,000
Hard - 600,000

You can still earn stars and cash on gigs that allow you to play on lower difficulties, but not fans.

Also, venues/gigs that require a certain amount of fans will only let you play at higher difficulty levels. For example, venues that require 52,045 fans will only let you play on Medium and higher, venues/gigs that require 268,000 fans will only let you play on Hard and Expert.
