madpartyboy Posted December 6, 2007 Share Posted December 6, 2007 OK SWITCHED MY 360 ON WEDNESDAY THIS WEEK USUAL UPDATE INFO SO OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE TO AGREE TO CONTINUE PLAYING SO DOWNLOADED IT WHEN FINISHED NO MARKETPLACE NO XBOX LIVE ARCADES ON THE BLADES INFACT RUINED MY MACHINE ALTHOUGH I CAN PLAY GAMES ON IT (WELL NOT NOW BUT WILL GET TOO THAT A BIT LATER ON) CANNOT PLAY ON LINE BECAUSE AFTER 10 MINUTES OR SO IT SIGNS ME OUT BECAUSE IT CANNOT FIND THE MARKETPLACE ETC SO PHONE THE SO CALLLED MICROSOFT CUSTOMER CARE DEPARTMENTAFTER BEING ON HOLD FOR A HOUR SPEAK TO A HUMAN BEING EVENTUALLY HE TOLD ME THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH SOME MACHINES BUT WILL BE RECTIFIED BY THE NEXT MORNING UPON RETURNING FROM WORK THE NEXT DAY TRY IT AGAIN STILL NO DIFFERENT SO RING AGAIN AFTER BEING ON THE PHONE FOR A HOUR AND HALF THE SO CALLED TECHNICIAN TOLD ME TO DELETE MY GAMER PROFILE AND RECOVER IT AGAIN FROM XBOX LIVE TRIED TO TELL HIM THAT IF I COULD NOT GET MARKETPLACE WHAT CHANCE WOULD I HAVE TO GET MY PROFILE BACK FROM XBOX LIVE GUESS WHAT CANNOT STILL WAITING FOR A CALL TO RECTIFY MY PROBLEM SO HERES MY QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO RESPOND 1 WHY IS MICROSOFT SO POOR AT GAMING PERHAPS THEY SHOULD STICK TOO COMPUTERS 2 WHY IS THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE SO BAD 3 WHY DO THEY TREAT GAMERS WITH SUCH DISRESPECT 4 WHY ARE THERE MACHINES SO UNRELIABLE (ON MY 3RD MACHINE) 5 WHO WISHES THAT THEY STUCK WITH PLAYSTATION AND NOT DEFECTED TO MICROSOFT FOR THEIR SUBSTANDARD CONSOLE Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Distilled84 Posted December 6, 2007 Share Posted December 6, 2007 First I just wanna suggest you lay off the cap locks key, it makes that wall of text you just wrote even more unreadable. All I can suggest you do to fix your problem is continuing to speak with MS customer support, they will get it figured out for you eventually or you will have to send your console in for repair. To answer your questions: 1. MS isn't bad at gaming, everybody has glitches in patches that will affect some small percentage of people. 2. The customer service isn't so much bad as it is inconsistent, and that comes from having such a large group spread across several different support centres. 3. I've never felt particularly disrespected by MS, I have had some bad customer support experiences and some good, but in general they have good intents to satisfy you as a customer. 4. The early hardware was flawed, can't argue with that, thankfully they are working to fix it. 5. The games he plays, and his problems (he only posts about his problems, never and solutions). It isn't clear if he is a Sony kid apart from the above comments he made. I doubt he bought his own console or buys his own games (requests or more likely demands from his parents). Despite being a selfish and inconsiderate person, I think he has a genuine problem with the update and should be helped if not to only make ourselves rise above. I have no info on any other instances of this problem, but MS tech support is supposed to be good and thorough to industry standards. MS also does not make computers, you cannot buy a MS brand computer. Dell, HP, Sony, Gateway, and IBM are the major computer manufacturers that make computers using the MS OS Windows. The only problem I have with the update is that it's take a min or 2 to load the blades...it's a pain in the butt if you ask me. My friend's is doing the same thing. Mine actually loads a lot quicker after the update. I used to sit in the xbox logo for a while before the blades came up. Now it loads right away. I wonder if clearing the cache would help with this? Either way its something you should periodically do. To perform the function, access 'memory' in the system blade, and then highlight the hard drive. Now press: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X.
