Raider
Hey all, I haven't been able to connect to xbox live for the last day or two and the reason it gives me is MTU Failed. What is an MTU? Why has it failed? How do I fix it? Thanks.
Slarak
Never heard of that one before, but you might want to post this in the Tech forum.
Raider
Are you having trouble connecting to live? Because I can't, and I can't get on xbox.com.
Slarak
Nope I can get on just fine, into xbox.com also. Might be somthing with your internet connection. If your on a cable line you might just want to reset your modem.
Deyankees1
Make sure you pay your internet. lol. Might be something wrong with your ethernet cable thats the best I can think of.
ThaPrototype
I was getting that problem the last few days. It seems to be working fine now. It usually means you have a router that is not "live compatible".Not sure why it happened to me though, because mine is on the good list. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908882
aussie_warrior117
MTU is short for Maximum Transmission Unit, the setting has to be set over a certain number so the Live service can work, if you have a router I think you can change it manually but how I fixed mine (I have a direct connection "360 to Modem") was put on ICS on my computer then turn it off and then disable the Local Area Connection, re-enable it and then it worked fine for me.
