Marx0r
I searched, couldn't find anything, so here goes: On December 19th of last year, I started my LIVE subscription. I used my Dad's credit card to sign up for a yearly billing. The other day, on the 19th of this December, I got an email confirming my renewal of the plan. However, when I went to my "Billing + Account Management" section of my xbox.com profile, it said that Microsoft was "unable to charge your credit card". My dad said he no longer has that card, which is why they weren't able to charge it. As of this afternoon, I have been able to get on LIVE without a problem. I tried calling the Xbox support line, but they're jammed. I'm at a crossroads as to what to do. Do I go out, get a 1-year card, and plug it in, or did I get a free year of XBL? I'm in the midst of a 3-digit streak on 360voice, so missing even one day due to a lapse of subscription is out of the question.
Tussell
If you care that much about 360 voice, then go out and get a one year card. If you don't care, don't call them and pay until you have to.
Nick G 42390
Why not just keep playing until you can no longer get on live and when that day comes, just go get a card that day? That seems like the smart thing to do...
Crazy Cabbie
you can just change your credit card info on your console or change it on xbox.com. that way if xbox catches up with you there will be new valid info on your billing account for them to bill. that is what i had to do. Marx0r
The thing is, I have a confirmation email from M$ saying I'm good until 12/19/08. If they shut my service off, I can easily refute them. What I really don't want to happen is for the account to be shut down, as I know people have lost accounts due to glitches in their subscription. Vista
Just see if you can get onto a game that needs gold, like halo or gears. If you cant play then go get a card. If the e mail said you have it til 08 I would trust that.
