Brand New Character in Street Fighter IV

Japanese magazine Famitsu brings word of a new character.
By Yoshi Sato (http://www.1up.com/do/my1Up?publicUserId=5855318), 01/09/2008

This week's issue of Weekly Famitsu brings word of the first brand new character to join Street Fighter IV's (http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3164488) roster. "Crimson Viper" is decked out in a revealing black suit, and her long red ponytail seems to be shaped just like the slithery creature from which she took her name (tongue and all). She wields lightning and flame in a stylish move set, which the Famitsu reporter who got his hands on the build describes as "unlike anything else in the series thus far."

While details about her past remain under wraps, apparently she's looking for a fight with Ryu and Ken. Whether that's just a coincidence -- because Ryu and Ken are the only other announced characters -- has yet to be seen.

In a separate interview, Producer Yoshinori Ono explained that he wants most of Street Fighter IV's roster to consist of returning characters, so that new players and veterans alike can feel right at home from the start. IV is set to take place between II and III in the series timeline, so anything could happen.

This place doesn't have many fighting fans here (2D especially) but the new character looks like a character that Falcoon designed. Looks like a character straight out of KOF:MI. Name is awful too, not Capcom material at all.

this is the photo of the new character, and i agree with you, it looks more like a king of fighters character(teaming up with iori :D ), but we have to wait and see how it handles...
