What's a good rental to have fun with, but also get the 1,000 GS for it? I was thinking of renting Enchanted Arms and finishing it up since I have 150/1000 on it. Or maybe Assassin's Creed which I'm at 820. Any suggestions? By the way, I don't want to rent a crappy game such as King Kong just for the achievements...

Edit - I also don't want something extremely long in terms of achievements and I don't want to rush through it...

Well, I don't know what your gamertag is, but a game I would recommend is Bioshock. You can most of the points within two days or so. It takes about 8-10 hours to beat the game.

Getting the collectibles and doing some of the other achievements may take a little longer. But, it's a fantastic game.

Isn't C&C hard? I thought it had very difficult achievements...

I'm gona have to pass on BioShock. The game's atmosphere just scares the shit out of me. I'm not much of a guy for horror type games. From the little I've played of it, it definitely is a great game.

Yes C&C has very hard achievements which take about 50+ hours. Then 100 hours online.

Bioshock is the perfect rental.

Fight Night Round 3? Easy 1000 and you're likely to enjoy it on your way to the 1000. Blacksite 51 is a pretty fun rental, but you'd need some decent boosting suggestions if you wanted the full 1000. If your a wrestling fan, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 08? Achievements are very doable in that and its a pretty fun game if you're into that thing. Ah, how about The Simpsons? Most people seem to enjoy it and you'll get a hefty gamerscore for just completing it. Check out some of the sites reviews on the homepage.

Fight Night Round 3?

Bam! Such an awesome game. Was one of the very first games I 1000'd on my old account. Man I need to buy that game.

There's also some others:
Amped 3
Eragon (For maximum "funnage" get someone else to play with you)
Harry Potter: OOTP (I had so much fun with this game. Loved it.)
Jericho
NBA Street Homecourt
Prey (you'll need a boosting partner though)
Surf's Up
TMNT
Tomb Raider LegendThose are my picks.

I'm thinking of getting Harry Potter... I remember playing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone a while back and having A LOT of fun with it.

Surfs up. It is surprisingly fun. Also Beautiful Katamari is fun as well. DL some demos to see what you like.

You could get the 1000 in Cod4 or Halo3, and they both were pretty good(at least for the 1st week, and yes, I'm talking about Halo3 ;)).

All of these are great. I had the most fun with Tomb Raider and Fight Night.

King Kong isn't that bad....

I liked it, killing dinosaurs/homocidal natives is a nice change of scene from aliens/mutants/zombies that all my other games contain.

I would say any of the games that are on the quick 1000 thread except any of the sports games. The only exception is tony hawks american wastland (900).

I forgot to mention King Kong and Gun. I got them for $15 at EB Games once and I ended up getting 1k in both of them. They were both pretty good games, and the easy achievements came as a bonus.

prey is an amazing game, as well as gun. tomb raider is alot of fun but your going to have to bust your balls to get 1k in a rental period.

Conan if you are a God Of War fan. I enjoyed it though for some reason a lot of people hate it.

if you are going to rent enchanted arms with the intention of finishing it up for the full 1,000 prepare yourself for a long sitting of playing it. fairly easy up until the last 2 or 3 achievements. raising money at the casino is a pain in the ass, and then having to redeem your prizes and go sell them at the shop is so tedious. if you were allowed to carry more than 9 or 10 of each item, would be much faster.

If you haven't already played it, I'd recommend Gun. It's a really fun, underrated game IMO. It's possible to get 1000 as well, I got over 700 in just 2 days of playing.

Hmmm... How long would it take to get the full 1k on DiRT?

My friend says that great storylines for 1k are Bioshock & Mass Effect. Worth the effort...

I like sport games; they seem to be fun for me.

Well, thanks for all the help everyone. I'm just going to rent DiRT. I haven't played a good racer since Colin McRae 2005.

Took me 18 hours and 45 minutes driving time, probably about 22 hours overall due to loading etc...

I believe you have to complete Mass Effect at least 3 times to get the full 1000. Not worth it in my opinion.

Good decision about Dirt by the way, enjoy it mate!

Mass Effect may require a minimum of 3 playthroughs, but it's THAT good. I've played it through 5 times now (only one or two "full" playthroughs though) and I still enjoy playing it.

I agree, Mass Effect is simply amazing. I've made it through 4 complete playthroughs and getting ready to start a fifth on insanity. But yeah, that's not an easy or quick 1000 by any stretch and it shouldn't be. It's a game that you should buy to own and enjoy every hour of it.

For quick and also enjoyable, I really had fun with TMNT and Harry Potter. For an extra kick, play through Harry Potter and then watch the corresponding movie and you'll see how amazingly accurate the castle and grounds are.

I have it and am only 2 hours into the game. It's a good game, it's just that you have to be "in the mood" to play it for so many hours straight.

Conan if you are a God Of War fan. I enjoyed it though for some reason a lot of people hate it.

You did not just say that? That's like saying if you like Halo, you'll like Blacksite. God of War... Conan? *seizure* :p

Anyways, DiRT is a good choice. Speaking of DiRT, I should rent that next time. Thanks Bax :D
