What do you guys say are some of the hardest achievments to get? Me personally was getting 10,000 kills in Gears of War (which was worth a staggering 50 points)

i wouldnt say thats 'hard' just time consuming.

hard is something that takes genuine skill - for example the final challenges for DDR universe.

Wrong place to ask, you should check the FAQ thread. But since you're new here you go to the User CP (control panel) at the top of the forum, then Edit Signature
you can get nifty ones at 360sigs.com or at other sites you google.

If you're talking about over here
<----
They're not working right now, but you go to User CP and Edit Profile and it's at the bottom.

Vegas realistic and COD4 vet are very doable.

Devil may cry: King of the Palace: Clear all Bloody Palace mode stages with an S ranking. (50)

Never Say Die: Clear all missions in Dante Must Die mode with an S ranking. (50)

Good chance these are the hardest achievement EVER.

I have some pretty insane achievements to be quite honest... I seem to only play the hardest FPS or arcade games, but I somehow get them all.
After all of the bullcrap I've been through (400+ hours for Quake 4, 40 000 points for COD3, 10 000 kills for seriously, Saints Row multiplayer and playing almost every FPS on the hardest difficulty), the hardest achievements I've encountered are those of TOTEMBALL.

Not only is the game practically unplayable, the achievements would be near impossible in a game that you were able to control!
I'm even using a flash applet to simulate my hands moving up and down, so I only have to use my keyboard... still ridiculous.

Just saying, I have none of these xD

Seriously from GoW- 10000 online kills
No, Seriously from The Club- 10001 online kills
Undertow- 10000 kills achievement
Hexic HD- the black pearl flower achievement
Lost Planet- the achievement for getting ALL the target markers on ALL FOUR difficulties

"Two for One" on halo 3 is mine so far. I mean you can say however skillful you are to get it put really its down to pure luck.

Mile High Club on COD4, done it twice now though.

A lot of the achievements listed are not HARD, only time consuming.

Seriously on Gears, General on COD3, playing 5000 matches on Quake...they're just stupidly time consuming but not hard.

For me it would have to be either Mile High Club or Aperture Science on Portal.

Some of the achievements in Devil May Cry 4 are going to be stupidly hard!!!

50GS to: Complete Bloody palace with an S Ranking. This is killer, its about 7 hours long and no checkpoints, if you die you have to start over. That PLUS getting an S, thats ridiculous!!

For me, it's got to be Grand pearl Pooh bah from Hexic HD.

I have no idea how many attempts I had made just to get it, but when I finally got it, I couldn't stop smiling for days :)

Even though it's not really a 'proper' achievement, I think killing General RAAM on Insane playing SOLO was freaking tough.

Congrats on that mate. It took me about 50 attempts in co-op.

Thanks man... there was a way of getting him stuck on one of those small concrete blocks on the right before the troika. He got stuck and I rinsed him with the Torque Bow and Lancer. 7 minutes later after pissing my pants and praying I survived, I cracked it :woop:

There was this one level in Call of Duty 2 where you had to clear these massive houses on veterans without checkpoints and oodles of objectives, and then when you finally cleared them all the numerous objectives cascaded into one, making everything extremely frustrating. So whatever achievement corresponds to that. I'd also like to give thanks to the Call of Duty makers that the last level in their games is always the easiest by far, because I'd have hanged myself otherwise.

General on CoD 3. My mate spent like 200 hours - more getting it.

I get that every fourth or fifth match. Granted, I'm a beast with the Spartan Laser (which I hope is the achievement we're talking about), but I really don't see the complaints.

My previous list was of achievements that I thought looked hard but I didn't have. The hardest achievements I have are probably:

Call of Duty 4 (Mile High Club, maybe a few of the other Vetran achievements)
Halo 3 (I got all of the online achievements legit, so possibly Two for One, Overkill, or Steppin Razor)

Get ranked 1 in all leaderboards in Quake 4. Hardest achievement in history.

ultimt_evil

Why do so many people find Steppin Razor so hard on Halo?

I got it the first time I attempted it.. Perhaps just luck.. Funnily enough thats also when I got the Triple Kill achievement. (It was the first day I tried to actually get achievements on Halo.) Now the only achievements I need are Overkill, Killing Frenzy, MVP and the Campaign Scoring ones.

I think the Brass Balls (or w/e its called) achievement on Bioshock would be pretty hard.. Beat the game on hard without dying once... Then again its all about whos playing...

Since everyones mentioning it Ill have to go check out the Mile High Club achievement since Ive never played COD4

Well for hard, I know their are some achievements out there that NO ONE has... Look at the arcade game Tempest for an idea...

But I think it is the 100% achievements... What a nightmare...

The 1,000 games played for Dark Ops / Death Match in PD:Z are really bad...

The 10,000 kills in GR:AW is bad...

Evil snowman, here's a tip for GRAW. Set up local games on the terrorist hunt or whatever it's called and set the density to high and just camp with a LMG to get 10,000 kills. Works like a charm but it's still a long achievement.

For me, Lost Planet Extreme Soldier and COD3 rankings are tough because of the party system and the amount of time required to unlock them. I've all but given up on getting any more score from that one. And like you said PDZ has some insane achievements and I'm about topped out at 6-something on that one.
