This is my first achievement guide, so please feel free to let me know what you think. I'll try to be as thorough as possible. This guide will have spoilers, so read at your own risk.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/-bi+tg==.jpgChapter One Complete - 10 GS
Find the Field Guide.

Obtain the key in the mansion to open the chest to find the Field Guide.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/-5m3Aw==.jpgChapter Two Complete - 10 GS
Obtain the Monocle.

This requires multiple "quests" but all progresses through the story. Using Thimbletack, find the seeing stone in the walls. Simon must then collect objects throughout the house to construct the glasses.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/-nlPkA==.jpgChapter Three Complete - 10 GS
Burn the Field Guide.

Construct Simon's gun and shoot a Fire salamander to catch it. Place it in the barrel in the yard to complete the quest.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+9ukaQ==.jpgChapter Four Complete - 10 GS
Find Aunt Lucinda.

Flee from the Land troll through the sewers.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+jtc+g==.jpgChapter Five Complete - 10 GS
Tame the Griffin.

Collect 5 Fire Salamanders and reach the perch where the Griffin lands. The tree needed to teleport is in the swampy area of the Deep Woods.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+BpVTw==.jpgChapter Six Complete - 10 GS
Return to the Mansion.

Using the the Oak Tree, Tunnels and Caves, return back to the cellar of the mansion.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+fqt3A==.jpgChapter Seven Complete - 10 GS
Defeat Mulgarath!

This is a chase level, and you don't really fight him. Flee from him into the kitchen, and take the dumbwaiter to the study. Hurdle the bookcase, and a cutscene will occur. Jump across the roof and up the sliding shingles. Climb the ladder to the tower and achievement unlocked.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+t250g==.jpgChapter Eight Complete - 80 GS
Complete the Field Guide.

After defeating Mulgarath, you are free to switch between characters to finish up any quests and complete the field guide. All quests must be grayed out, and the field guide must be complete. Once completed, a final quest will tell you to go to the front porch of the house. A final cutscene will show and finish the game.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+qKlNQ==.jpgRoach Killer - 10 GS
Collect 10 Cockroaches.

See Roach Master.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+0Jdpg==.jpgRoach Conqueror - 10 GS
Collect 25 Cockroaches.

See Roach Master.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/-uC2Xw==.jpgRoach Master - 30 GS
Collect 50 Cockroaches.

These may only be obtained while in control of Thimbletack. There are a few quests which go into the house's walls. Use his ranged attack to spear the roaches. Be sure to check everywhere, I believe there are only 50 total. After Chapter 7 is complete, you are free to switch back to Thimbletack at any time to resume searching. The Roaches make a noise while skittering, so listen for them and then try to find them.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/-wBOzA==.jpgGobstone Enthusiast - 10 GS
Collect 25 Gobstones.

See Gobstone Fanatic.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/-SFHeQ==.jpgGobstone Collector - 10 GS
Collect 50 Gobstones.

See Gobstone Fanatic.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPowllk=.jpgGobstone Fanatic - 30 GS
Collect 100 Gobstones.

Collect these stones as you are running around mansion yard and the surrounding forest. They can be in the path, or sometimes off the path. When searching for them, hug the invisible wall off the road to search the bushes as you run. Completing the Knocker Quest will give approximately 50 additional Gobstones upon completion' so use those towards the 100. Gobstones are used as ammunition for Jared's slingshot, or an exploding variety to be thrown by Simon.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPvQbso=.jpgBall Bearings Enthusiast - 10 GS
Collect 25 Ball Bearings.

See Ball Bearings Fanatic.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPnxZ38=.jpgBall Bearings Collector - 10 GS
Collect 50 Ball Bearings.

See Ball Bearings Fanatic.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPgRn+w=.jpgBall Bearings Fanatic - 30 GS
Collect 100 Ball Bearings.

Using the same tactic as the Gobstones, search the edges of paths after traveling through areas, and sometimes they may yield additional BBs hiding in the bushes. Upon completion of the game (Chapter 7 for our purposes) I only had around 85. Shoot or hit the washing machine in the Cellar for an additional 15 or so to unlock this achievement. Ball Bearings are used as Jared's ammunition for his slingshot.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP2zdBU=.jpgFaerie Fruit Enthusiast - 10 GS
Collect 10 Faerie Fruit.

See Faerie Fruit Fanatic.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP5yhTM=.jpgFaerie Fruit Collector - 20 GS
Collect 20 Faerie Fruit.

See Faerie Fruit Fanatic.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPxTjIY=.jpgFaerie Fruit Fanatic - 50 GS
Collect 40 Faerie Fruit.

Mostly found on the ground, these can also be obtained by catching sprites. Also, when the sprites return to the garden, talking to each of them will give up an extra fruit or two as a reward. Faerie Fruits are used as lures to attract Sprites that may be flying too high or out of reach. They may be picked back up after use.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPy1aa4=.jpgGoblin Killer - 10 GS
Collect 100 Goblin Teeth.

See Goblin Master.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP+SfaA=.jpgGoblin Conqueror - 20 GS
Collect 250 Goblin teeth.

See Goblin Master.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP1VkT0=.jpgGoblin Master - 50 GS
Collect 500 Goblin teeth.

This is actually easier than it sounds. Each goblin killed yields teeth, provided you don't knock them off an edge. The green goblins drop 1 tooth on death, the red ones drop 2. The large purple Bull Goblins drop 3. Obtain 500 and the achievement will unlock. You can check your progress in the start menu.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+IOsgA==.jpgFire Salamander Collector - 30 GS
Collect 10 Fire Salamanders.

Simply collect 10 fire salamanders. The easiest place to find these are behind the garage (1), and in front of both entrances to the Deep Woods (2-3). There are also 3 by the first knocker in the lower camp/quarry area. Leaving the area and returning causes them to respawn. Collect 10 total, you don't need to have them all at once. One is needed to start the fire in Chapter three, and to complete the entry in the field guide. Simon's gun is needed to douse the salamanders first to collect them.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPiIZiM=.jpgLeatherwing Collector - 10 GS
Record all Leatherwing Sprites.

There are 10 of these total to collect, and are found around all regions of the game. Exploration and simple questing will help you find them all. The most difficult one to find is obtained by shattering all lamps hanging from the large tree in the Quarry with a slingshot. The sprite will fly down to the area where the Griffon's feather landed so you can collect it. Every two found will add another leaf to your health bar. They are a primary green color.

List:
1. Front entrance of the mansion
2. Mansion into forest road, on the first bridge
3. The first quarry road sign towards goblin camp.
4. Small fuse house before the goblin camp
5. Midway on the cliff to the large fuse house
6. Quarry lamp tree, shoot the lamp
7. Deep woods, oak tree folk area
8. Cave, from the oak tree folk
9. Tunnel below cellar, near the U-shaped "hidden path"
10. Outside of the mansion between the garage and bushes to the left of garage. You might need to throw a faerie fruit to get him to come out.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPlonrA=.jpgRoyal Orchid Collector - 10 GS
Record all Royal Orchid Sprites.

Only 5 Royal Orchid Sprites to find, and they glow red. Like the Leatherwings, just explore and you will come across them. You will know which ones you haven't found before by the larger aura surrounding them. Net them and paint them to collect them. You may check your progress on every sprite in the Field Guide. The last Royal Orchid Sprite to find (and the one needed for the garden) is located on a path in the swamp area of Deep Woods, just before the cave that shortcuts back to Forest Road. Use a faerie fruit if the sprite is flying too high and it will come down for an easy capture. Use an ability granted by the Royal Orchid Sprite to summon a Toadstool ring around a goblin, which is another achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP1srpQ=.jpgFlower-Winged Sprite Collector - 10 GS
Collect all Flower-Winged Sprites.

Flower-winged sprites emit a light blue glow, and reward you with a dash charge upon capture. Only 7 of these to find, and the last one can be found in the Caves beneath the cellar.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/467/UP0qjdo=.jpgFlower-Head Collector - 10 GS
Record all Flower-Head Sprites.

There are 7 of these to find, and they glow a light orange. The most difficult sprites to find are the final ones, needed for the garden. This one is located in the same location as the final Royal Orchid Sprite. I simply walked through the cave back to Forest Road, and returned, and it had appeared in the same spot as the Royal Orchid.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/467/UPvjV9Y=.jpgWill O' The Wisp Collector - 10 GS
Record all Will O' The Wisps.

There are 10 Will O' The Wisps, and they are fairly easy to spot. They are larger, sphere shaped and they move very slowly. Upon capture, they give a 'distraction' buff, which allows you to distract goblins (used for two other achievements).

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPzKdUk=.jpgBellflower Collector - 10 GS
Record all Bellflower Sprites.

There are 5 Bellflower sprites to collect across the world. They are yellow in appearance and glow a deep purple color.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPgipvA=.jpgStray Sod Collector - 10 GS
Record all Stray Sod.

There are 8 stray sods to collect, and can be easily found by the dark bush that they are guarding. These sprites look like tiny walking trees, and can be caught by running circles around them. Aside from the Sprout Sprites, they are the only ones on the ground. Look for 3 of them in the Forest Road meadow, and 4 more in the Deep Woods guarding the cypress portal tree. The final sod is in the same area of the Deep Woods, guarding the sole Beetle Mimic Sprite.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPtJlwU=.jpgSprout Collector - 10 GS
Record all Sprout Sprites.

Sprout Sprites are a light green in color and jump around on the ground. Explore grassy areas and you will find them. There are 6 to collect.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP7rfPw=.jpgBeetle Mimic Collector - 10 GS
Record all Bettle Mimic Sprites

Luckily there is only 1 of these to find, and it is in the Deep Woods maze area. On the far back wall, there is a Stray Sod guarding a little patch of grass. Daze the Stray Sod by running around it, and the area should open. The Beetle Mimic sprite will summon a clone of your character to fight you. Kill your clone (It's more powerful than the goblins you are used to) and capture this purple sprite.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPnCXmM=.jpgPond Skater Collector - 10 GS
Record all Pond Skater Sprites.

There are only 3 Pond Skater Sprites, and they are always found over a body of water. Their locations are in order: over pond in Forest Road, the 2nd area of Deep Woods with the tree portal, and the puddle of water in the quarry where the Griffon's feather lands. These sprites are blue and move very fast. I suggest using a faerie fruit to draw them to land for a quick capture.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPxgtZo=.jpgFire Salamander Master - 10 GS
Complete the Fire Salamander page in the Field Guide.

After collecting your first salamander, a quest will appear for Simon to collect another for the terrarium in his room. Only Simon can collect Fire Salamanders by spraying them first with his gun. Place the salamander in the tank at the foot of the bed to unlock this achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP6nWQc=.jpgCockatrice Research - 20 GS
Complete the Cockatrice page in the Field guide.

Find all pieces of the evidence of a Cockatrice. There are 5 in total. You can check your progress in the Field guide.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP2ATQk=.jpgGriffin Tamer - 10 GS
Complete the Griffin page in the Field Guide.

Collect the Griffin feather after the cutscene where the Griffin lands. Then feed it 5 salamanders. After these criteria are met, the achievment unlocks.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/+z1BQQ==.jpgRedcap Recording - 10 GS
Complete the Redcap page in the Field Guide.

Redcap is a goblin leader underneath of Mulgarath. You will fight him twice throughout the game, both with Mallory. After the second encounter, you fulfill the obligations for this page.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPz5TFU=.jpgRiver Troll Master - 10 GS
Complete the River Troll page in the Field guide.

The first time you fight the River Troll you will have to feed him 10 Goblins to make him full. Get close to the River Troll until he picks you up, then shake the Left Thumbstick. If a goblin is near when you escape, the troll will eat him. Goblins will repeatedly run into this area, so just repeat 10 times until you defeat him. After this, obtain Simon's plastic baggie tomato bombs. Throw one at the troll to stun him, then use your squirtgun to push him to the back of the pond towards the light patch. The Rivertroll will turn to stone and the achievement will unlock.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP9HoZQ=.jpgKnocker Unlocker - 10 GS
Talk to both knockers.

There are two knockers in the game, and you must talk to them both with Simon. The first one is in the lower quarry at the far end of the goblin camp. Enter the cave and douse the fire Salamanders. Knocker #1 will slide down the pipe and tell you to seek out #2. Knocker #2 is located at the end of the caves. You can either run here from the cellar, or use the Oak tree portal in the Deep woods. Near the portal in the caves, look for a purple crystal hanging from the ceiling. Hit it with one of Simon's exploding gobstones to draw out the Knocker. As a reward, the knocker will give you a large amount of gobstones (50+) towards your gobstone achievement.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP7YReA=.jpgGreen Thumb - 40 GS
Complete Garden Sprites quest.

There are four sprites that are lost in the world and you must find them and invite them back to the garden at the mansion. These sprites count towards your tally for the other varieties, so this achievement usually comes last. The sprites only appear after your mansion has been secured by the end of Chapter 7. The four sprites are: Leatherwing, Flower-winged, Flower-head, and Royal Orchid. The locations for these four are contained within their respective categories above. Make sure after collecting them to use their powers, otherwise they will not appear in the garden. Once collected, talk to each to earn the achievement. It seems capturing one will cause another of the four to spawn, which is the cause for some confusion.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP84vXM=.jpgGoblin Trapper - 20 GS
Trap a Goblin inside a toadstool ring.

Using the power granted by the Royal Orchid Sprite, cast a toadstool ring using the Y button near a Goblin. The Goblin I 'trapped' was simply touching it, not necessarily trapped inside. There is no way to aim the ring, just cast it and make sure a goblin is very close to you.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPqaVoo=.jpgGoblin Distracter - 20 GS
Send a Goblin over a cliff with a Distract Sprite.

Capture a Will O' the Wisp, and hold onto the power granted to you, which is distraction. The caves is by far the easiest place to attempt the achievement. Cycle through your powers (you have 3 at a time) using the RB button. Cast distraction near a goblin, and he should walk right off the ledge.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPt6rhk=.jpgGoblin Roaster - 20 GS
Send a Goblin into a Fire Salamander with a Distract Sprite.

Once again, use the ability granted by the Will O' The Wisp. The easiest place to do this is in Forest Road near the Deep Woods entrances, or on the backside of the garage at the mansion. Get near a Salamander, but not close to pop it. Cast distract and the goblin will wander into it. Don't worry if you get hit, they don't deal much damage.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UPlbp6w=.jpgTour of Arenas - 20 GS
Complete a multiplayer match in every ISL arena.

Progress through the story to unlock different levels of the ISL arena. I did these achievements last. You only need one controller to do this. Set it to a low score mark, and load up and finish each of the four levels. The four levels are: Front yard (day), Front yard (night), Meadow, and Caves.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP6tX7I=.jpgISL Master - 50 GS
Finish an ISL match in which each player scores 50+ points.

Can be done with a friend, or two controllers. Load up any level, Sprites only. Set the game limit to 5 minutes, and get 50 points with each player.
Sprites yield 1-2 points per capture, and each player can get 50 points in around 2 minutes. Let the game finish out and the achievement will unlock.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/467/UP9NpyE=.jpgISL Champion - 100 GS
Score 100 points in a "Sprites and Goblins" ISL Arena match without taking damage.

The Front yard is by far the easiest level to do this on, as you can hide behind the toadstool ring. Use Simon, and power up his attack using A. Wait till the goblins get close, and fire. Green ones take 1-2 hits to kill, and red ones 2-3. Green Goblins give 1 point, Red ones 2, and Bull Goblins 5. You can get to around 80 points without any problem. At around 80, Bull Goblins will arrive, and they have a charge and a missile attack. You can no longer hide behind the ring, so charge out and kill them as fast as possible without getting hit. Capturing a Bellflower sprite at the onset of the match for the extra damage boost can really help at this stage. Get to 100 without getting hit and the achievement is yours (may take a few tries).

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/467/UPoDr0U=.jpgInterior Decorator - 50 GS
Fully decorate Thimbletack's house.

There are 13 items to obtain for his house. They are:
1) Christmas Lights - in the Garage
2) Doily - Mallory's room on her desk
3) Toy Soldier - on the ground by a tree behind the garden
4) Old Coin #1 - large meadow on the raised hill in Forest Road.
5) Playing Cards - Using crank from goblin camp, take into quarry and use. Break wall open for cards.
6) Pocket watch - back of goblin camp in a blocked off area past knocker #1. Use bat to break.
7) Crayons - cellar
8) Postage Stamp - playing as Thimbletack, opposite direction from the safe.
9) Medal - Playing as Mallory, grab the medal from her bedpost in her room.
10) Old Coin #2 - On the tree bridge leading to cypress portal in Deep Woods.
11) Old Coin #3 - In the area where beetle mimic is, in the Deep Woods.
12) Metal Cricket - In the caves, use Simon to shoot a gobstone at a purple crystal on the ceiling (Not the knocker crystal). This will cause a rock bridge to fall. Cross it for the cricket
13) Birdhouse - Given by the quest.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP+hRLw=.jpgSlime Boy - 10 GS
Obtain Hobgoblin Spit for Simon.

The Hobgoblin wants Simon to kill some Bull Goblins in the Deep Woods near the Cypress Tree Portal. Kill them all, and check your field guide to make sure you got them all. Return to the Hobgoblin and he will spit in your eye so you can see Goblins without wearing the Monocle. The Hobgoblin is sitting in the tree with the orange leaves in front of the mansion.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/UP5BvC8=.jpgPhlegm Face - 10 GS
Obtain Hobgoblin Spit for Mallory.

This is more simple than Simon's Task. The Hobgoblin wants some birdseed. You can find a bag of it in the cellar on the back shelves.

Writer's Note: I never realized I was that long winded, but I tried to be as descriptive as I could. Many of the achievements for collecting or using characters are easiest done after Chapter 7 is complete, so you can switch easily between characters. I left out the locations for the sprites for two reasons: #1 - Would dramatically increase the length of the guide. #2 Many of the sprites, except for the ones needed for garden quest, are easily found. Please leave comments or questions. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the guide, looks like its not gonna take that long to get 1000. How long is the game?

Can someone please treat me like a 5-yr old and lay out where the Leatherwings are? I'm missing two, and AFAIK, one of them is NOT the tree lamp smashing one in the quarry. I did pop all those things, but all I see down there is a fat one and a purple one.

Anyway, I swear I've combed this game three times over and nothing is popping up new. Any ideas?

EDIT: Ah, nm. I handled it. Apparently that last purple one I grabbed under the house never actually made it into the garden.. which apparently keeps the final Leatherwing from appearing. Using the faerie after you capture it is pretty much key. I score low on reading comprehension, what can I say?

I had this problem too, where I would search an area and find nothing. I'd return after finding another sprite and a new sprite would magically appear clear as day. I know I didn't miss it the first time, so there's got to be an unknown mechanic that allows the final 4 garden sprites to "spawn." Perhaps completion of chapter 7, along with having the other sprites in the garden (that is, used their power so they appear there) allows the next to appear in the world.

Great work semp pi!

Like i said the guide has errors .. For instance: this one is way off.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/467/-bi+tg==.jpgChapter One Complete - 10 GS
Find the Field Guide.

Make your way to the study through the kitchen dumbwaiter and find the book on the table.

Working on a much more detailed one with locales of everything needed for the Chapter 8 achievement ... keep the peepers peeled just need two more sprites and i am done everything but the mlultiplayer aspect.

numberuno quite being a giant asshole... the guide is EXTREMELY helpful.

and by way off you mean get the key, go up the ladder and open the chest? not really WAY OFF... if you cant get past the first level in this game, you might as well put it down.

you could have just said that instead of trying to make the guy look stupid and creating some ridiculous hype about your in the works guide.... remember who posts the guides.

Nice one on the name calling but it is an error right ? for a guide to be sticked you really need to be patient, the first one posted will not always be the best one and also that is one little hiccup and something that could be easily overlooked by any intermediate gamer .. and the one i am working on has locations for everything something you kinda need to have some of the sprites are not as easy to find as they seem .. and also thats not the only error .. i am just pointing out the mistakes and i get called an asshole .. real smooth ! i know i read somewhere you can post your own guide if one you see doesn't fit the bill in IMO this one doesn't, and does it really matter who posts the guides i just hope you don't post up one with errors having everyone make threads looking for this and that in the game. believe me i am Canadian i am bound by blood not to be an asshole. I am just observient.

I second that :)

I think you meant to say "spam that" right ? by the way I love your Rumble Roses XX 1000GS all in one day .. can someone say gamesaver ?

Thanks for your effort Semp Pi, very useful guide.

I'm 98% with the game, GS 910, missing the very last leatherwing and it's not the quarry lamp tree one.

I have been running up and down the whole area for a day now, still couldn't find that last one.

Here's a list of leatherwings I noted from my last run.

1. Front entrance of the mansion
2. Mansion into forest road, on the first bridge
3. The first quarry road sign towards goblin camp.
4. Small fuse house before the goblin camp
5. Midway on the cliff to the large fuse house
6. Quarry lamp tree, shoot the lamp
7. Deep woods, oak tree folk area
8. Cave, from the oak tree folk

Thanks for your effort Semp Pi, very useful guide.

I'm 98% with the game, GS 910, missing the very last leatherwing and it's not the quarry lamp tree one.

I have been running up and down the whole area for a day now, still couldn't find that last one.

Here's a list of leatherwings I noted from my last run.

1. Front entrance of the mansion
2. Mansion into forest road, on the first bridge
3. The first quarry road sign towards goblin camp.
4. Small fuse house before the goblin camp
5. Midway on the cliff to the large fuse house
6. Quarry lamp tree, shoot the lamp
7. Deep woods, oak tree folk area
8. Cave, from the oak tree folk
9. Tunnel below cellar, near the U-shaped "hidden path"
10. Missing this one!!! HELP

Anyone please help? I need this damn bugger to 1000.
Thanks! Here ya go this is the one your missing :

Outside of the mansion between the garage and bushes to the left of garage. You might need to throw a faerie fruit to get him to come out.

the guides are a COLLECTION of useful types.... its a COMMUNITY of gamers... i appreciate your response, but you were less than helpful in the beginning of this and responses like the one i deleted and the one you made after that is what discourages people from helping others...

also, andyc83 wont be enjoying this site much longer.

Number, either add something helpful or don't post in here. This guide was stickied by yours truly, a member of the guide team, so it has been deemed helpful. Granted, I always want to see as many location lists as possible, but he told me he already got rid of it once he wrote this much and couldn't do so. I figured someone else would step up, and they have. Instead of being rude, jan (a member with 4 posts) decided to help. Take his lead.

I've rewritten parts of guides you've written in the past, so you're not some beastly guide writer yourself. Don't trash someone else's guide, especially when you've thusfar added nothing of help to anyone else to it.

I'm just trying to be helpful here but I did notice one error for sure with one of the achievement entries. The "Phlegm Face" achievement is acquired when you fetch birdseed for the Hobgoblin, not Redcap's hat. I don't remember what chapter this occurs but I believe it's about halfway through the story(I believe it's required to progress the story). Now there is indeed a mission to obtain Redcap's hat from the kitchen for the Hobgoblin but it doesn't occur until Chapter 8.
One more tip: it may have just happened for me but when I was going for the ISL Champion achievement just a few minutes ago I never ran into the purple missile launching goblins. I took Semp Pi's advice and used the Front yard(day) with Simon and stayed in the toadstool circle close to the house. The only thing I did differently was that I used a 2nd unmanned controller with Mallory. I just had her sit on the porch and fired away at the goblins using Simon's charge attack while occasionally grabbing a sprite for points. I did it on the 1st try. Thanks for the guide, Semp Pi.

That's right. I tried to remember everything as I wrote the guide but it was hard considering there is so much to collect. I'll update right now.

On another note, I could have sworn that the hobgoblin also wanted Redcap's hat. Was this just another random quest? Or was it tied to the spit? Sorry but my memory is escaping me right now.

That was Jared's quest, 3 of them each has a quest from the goblin.

Thanks so much for posting this guide. It helped me get those last little sprites that I needed to finish the game. And the advice on the how to get the ISL champ achievement really helped.

BTW the red cap gets Simon his spit, the birdseed gets Mallory hers. :D

Actually the three Characters each have thier own little quests to do for the Hobgoblin .. Simons is to kill the goblins in the Deep Woods, Jared has to get the hat of Red Cap in the Kitchen, And Mallory gets the birseed for the Hobgoblin.

I wasn't bashing anyone. I was just stating a fact. Go read all the unhappy comments in the Crash achievement guide thread and you'll see. I could honestly care less. Dude could make a million achievement guides as long as they are 100% finished then that's awesome. Otherwise it kinda looks lazy and not helpful anymore. However I've just glanced at thre awesome guide he threw up for this game and wondered why he didn't put that type of devotion into the Crash game.

ehhh, who gives a ish though right? Uno I didn't mean any harm if any was taking homey!

Thanks for that, I'll make sure to update the guide right now. As far the last one, I believe I caught him in the ringed area of stones in the caves. Just do a few laps around the jumping stones until you see a pale blue sprite with a large aura around him (means haven't been captured).

With a Fire Salamander captured, try returning to the bedroom where the fish tank / terrarium is on the floor. Place it in and the achievement should unlock. It has been a while, but I believe that is what is required.

there are guides and walkthroughs, but if you remember to catch every creature and pick everything up whenever you come to a new area, you wont really need one. Just play through, and use a guide if you're stuck.

i think the position of the first flower winged spirit should be clarified in the guide.
actually it's found under a basket in the garage, only after you free it it goes wandering in front on the mansion. it took me 2 hrs of suffering to realize it :D

update the guide, if you want ;)
and btw, thank for the awesome guide, its a damned game like no other, with all those collectibles, but u made it quite easy. well, less painful at least :D

I've ran through the entire map about 5 times, spent about 3hrs on this and still can't figure out what i'm missing. I make sure that I don't die and the game saves,
List:
1. Front entrance of the mansion - got it
2. Mansion into forest road, on the first bridge - got it
3. The first quarry road sign towards goblin camp. - got it
4. Small fuse house before the goblin camp - got it
5. Midway on the cliff to the large fuse house - got it, but noticed that it sometimes isn't there, on the U shaped cliff area

6. Quarry lamp tree, shoot the lamp - got them all
7. Deep woods, oak tree folk area - got it
8. Cave, from the oak tree folk - got it, you can't miss it
9. Tunnel below cellar, near the U-shaped "hidden path" - got it
10. Outside of the mansion between the garage and bushes to the left of garage. You might need to throw a faerie fruit to get him to come out. - i think i got it, but doesn't really show up all the time, you see a will o wisp all the time though..

Also, the site's guide says:
6. See location of Will O' The Wisps Sprite 6. From that spot head to the left and go along the path to find this one in the wide open.

This is a totally different sprite making it 11 total? or is this a mistake?, if i head left I end up by the cave with the Knocker, and if you keep going you end up by where you break the wood planks for treasures... the opposite way goes up the cliff where you just came from...

important addition to the ISL Master achievement:

do it much easier and in 2 minutes: Select the player of your choice in multiplayer. Select the tunnels arena. Once started, go to the smallest, northermost point. Once there, goblins will never reach you, because they don't see you. There are to sprites that respawn. Catch them and use their powers continuesly, and you will be done in about 2 minutes. 100 points, not even fighting once. good luck :)

PS: can be done with only one controller!

Since I just finished this game and noticed some discrepancies and missing information, I thought I'd add some notes.

1) Firstly, the second sequence with Thimbletack is in chapter 4, not chapter 3 as some state. I also folllowed this HD video guide and it showed the 29 & 21 cockroaches, and also points out the postage stamp for Thimbletack's house. It is underneath cockroach 39, the video will specifically come back and get it between 48 & 49.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLluXjpH4xY

2) They are quests in the Field Guide, but the achievement guides don't mention these. I don't know if they're required for the final story quest to open up, but I found these anyway:

Phoenix evidence:
Feather: Deep Woods, near the Oak Treefolk tree it dropped when I killed a Bull Goblin running around here.
Eggshell: Forest Road, after crossing the log near the start and shooting your squirt gun to pass the fire salamanders, it is in the one dead end short path that doesn't lead to one of the many Deep Woods entrances.

Elven Relics:
Basket: Deep Woods, I believe this is near the entrance you must crawl through from Forest Road near Cypress Treefolk tree and where you'll find 2 of the Garden Sprites.
Elfshot: On the other side of the Cypress Treefolk tree swamp there is an upper path taking you to the Oak Treefolk tree area, it was right by the bit where you drop down into the swamp.

Dwarven Relics:
Ring: In the cave after the first Tunnel Troll chase, it is right next to where the second Knocker comes out.
Metal Leaf: Quarry, this is next to the fireplace/cauldron in the Goblin Camp.
Metal Cricket: This is Thimbletack's house item #12, in the caves where you have to lower a stalactite bridge with a gobstone.

3) The achievement guide for sprites regularly talks about Will O' The Wisp Sprite 6, which is one you get from the smashable lanterns in the trees. It is actually referencing Will O' The Wisp Sprite 7, in the initial cave area with a circular path.

4) The final 4 Garden Sprites appear in a specific order that matches the questline in the Field Guide. So specifically you will find Royal Orchid #4, Flowerhead #7 (in the exact same spot, you presumably have to leave then reenter the Deep Woods by the nearby entrance), Flower-Wing #7 and Leatherwing #9. You MUST use the sprite by selecting them with RB and pressing Y to release them, then you should talk with them in the garden (where they will give you a faerie fruit).

5) I had smashed all the lanterns on the tree in the Quarry when I first arrived, but when I was ready for the final Garden Sprite, Leatherwing #9, there was one more lantern to smash that he was inside.

6) Carrying on from that, each of the 4 Garden Sprites will give you another Faerie Fruit. From careful collecting and never using them I had gotten 37, these 4 put me to 41 and the sprite race got me to 46.

7) The best way to win the race is to have 2 Flower-Wing dash sprites and any 3rd sprite to fill up your inventory. Otherwise I found the game loves to followthrough with your A button press to end the conversation and swing your net if it's equipped, thus catching the sprite instantly. 2 dash sprites is more than enough to dash through the entire race and win easily. If you accidentally catch the racing sprite, use it then just go back in the house to cancel the race. He will give you 5 Faerie Fruit, and probably 5 each for Gobstones and Ball Bearings if you are having problems getting those achievements - also don't forget the 15 ball bearings in the washing machine in the cellar and the 60? gobstones from the second Knocker.

8) Bellflower #5 was my final sticking point, it was never at the Cypress Treefolk tree as stated in the guide. Buckyfellini (http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showpost.php?p=637918&postcount=2) pointed out that you must crawl through the log, and then it will fly around this log.
