I know this thread was probably already asked, but I ddin't want to take the time to look for it, so is this game as fun as Project 8? And are the achievements easier or harder than Project 8?

03-16-2008, 03:22 PM
achievments are very hard 330/1000
very fun storyline
if you get this game add me and i will help you and the online is rather good fun too :)

ok thanks for the help. But what if I was good at project 8 do you think I can get all or most of the achievements like around 800/1000 or higher.

03-16-2008, 04:51 PM
no i nearly had all the achievments on project 8 this is reaaly tricky i dont know anyone with more than 690

03-16-2008, 06:55 PM
This one is fun but hard, I think I have 430/1000

03-16-2008, 08:08 PM
wow seriously, then I guess this game is hard. You don't know anyone thats over 690/1000.

Technically this is easier than Project 8 as you can use perfect balance cheats etc. and still get the achievements. The thing i'm finding difficult even with these cheats are the Line Challenges.

P.S. I have 855/1000 on it so far

Hmmm yea I got 845 I think. I got everything sick. I just got to do the odd cheevos like All Gaps, Cash spots and the online ones. It was easier to get sick in everything on this than project 8, the classics felt so easy. I remember being stuck on factory/skatepark classic on p8 for ages. Although the hawkman goals added a new depth of challenges to this game. FDR and harbor-bridge was very difficult :)

Pimp, good tip for the line challenges is before hitting the first piece get your multiplier up to about 30. Then hit the first piece and do the rest of the line. Your score will sky rocket ;)

P.S. Cheats stop your score going to the leaderboards don't they? I'm in top 10 in quite a lot of goals, I was nowhere near tops in project 8!

Sweet, I always thought your multiplyer got cancelled out when you hit the 'Line' piece ah well, i'll give it a try.

And yeah I do believe using the cheats stops your scores from being added to the leaderboard, but I stopped worrying about the leaderboards as they are messed up anywayz.

Ah yea thats true, glitchers etc.

Yep fortunately your multiplier still counts but your base score gets reset. If it's around 30x and grind rail then ntt and grind again your score goes up drastically. I don't know how people did these otherwise. I guess that is the key to hitting those mostly huge line goal scores =)

how can the line challenges be difficult with balance cheat on? it would be a piece of cake with it on right?

I wanna play this game! I borrowed it from a friend and he doesn't even play (he got it for free), but he's kinda anal about lending stuff, so he wanted it back in two days, so I didn't really get a chance to play this game. I want to rent it again, and play it fully. It looks really fun. I loved project 8, so this game is supposed to be fun. I also wanna play skate.

It's difficult coz u have like 9secs. to get to the next piece in the line, but using that multiplyer method should work a treat.

I don't think this is as fun as Project 8, I find myself playing this just to get it out the way unlike Project 8, I played that coz I felt like I actually achieved something when I beat a challenge etc.

Oh really? It's one of those games. I'll still gonna play this game though. Thanks for the info. though.

Honestly, I didn't like P8 as much as American Wasteland which was my fav in the series. But Proving Ground is pretty fun.

P8 was probably my favourite, I hammered it. It felt amazing when I finished pretty much any classic. I don't know why but the classics did not feel aswell done on pg. The only classic I found hard was the air & space museum. Took me a while to get that. Also where the hell was animal chin 2!?!!! That goal and the get there goals was top notch. PG gets a 9/10 and P8 is a 10/10 for me. Still all hawk games are great fun. I do love where they are going with these games though. None of these easy cheevos. I just played a game called jumper for about 25 minutes and got 550 points. WTF?

my favorite was Project 8, but I have only play 4 of the tony hawk games (THUG, THUG2, THAW, THP8) I only got into videogames when THUG came out. I still need to play THPG though.

project 8 was fun? the camera was awful as was the physics engine which made u just float in the air after u fell, they tried to show off their skills but failed miserably

03-19-2008, 12:45 AM
well idk it had its flaws, but it was a fun game to play. I mean don't get me wrong, it could of been better! But it was still fun to play. Fun challenges, goals, lines, etc.

b3nnyth3gr33k - what is it your find hard about the game... you put your rubbish maybe there's some tips i can give and a lot of other people on here can to. There are lots of stuff that will help you, i.e. balancing, holding long combo's , mastering ntt+g+m. Is it certain goals that you get stuck on hopefully some of us can help you out. I must admit playing 1000 games is doin my nuts in. I play a few and they never start games up so wtf is the point. Maybe a boost is in order. I just want to play some online games and have a good set of games. PS. Anyone wanna play add me my 360gt is phobzy85
