I've read all the speculations/rumors and whatnot, but I dunno, I still really hope they have another Max Payne title in the future.

Kane and Lynch had elements of this, even to me, Condemned 2 did as well, but I dunno, nothing was like the original Max Payne games.

Anyone else looking forward to the rumored new Max Payne game? Maybe some more psychotic dream sequences, with crying babies, that is the stuff the video games are made of ;).

I don't know whether I want another. I loved the first one, but when I played the second I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it just didn't grab me like the first did....

I'm still waiting for the movie to come out, supposedly it will have Mark Whalberg as Max Payne.

I would love another Max Payne. I haven't had a chance to play the 2nd one yet but the first one was genius.

I don't really know, I've never played a Max Payne game. I have Max Payne 2 laying around somewhere that I picked up for $3 brand new. I've just never played it.... maybe I should

You should definitely play/purchase Max Payne and Max Payne 2.

Great, great games. If there were to be a sequel, I'd pay any price for it. If there's a god...

I have seen photos from Kotaku of him on the set filming, so that would be news to me.

TBH Max Payne scared the living shit out of me with the crying baby and the long red bloody room/corridor or whatever it was.

Yea, I was a huge fan of the original game when it came out too. A little bit less so with the second one since they changed the voice actor and that messed with me. I doubt a third one would be as good as the previous two unless they really put some quality time into it. My bet is that it would mostly just lead to a lot of disappointment.

Nothing more fun than walking on an invisible line of blood and jumping down to a second invisible line of blood. That game was really good though, the crying baby level took me forever.

I don't. I hated Max Payne. Never understood the hype around it, and my friends who were really pumped for it were just let down in the end... Soo many better titles out there.

It's an old title now. It seems harsh to judge it by today's standards.

It was the first to implement bullet time which at that time was a ground breaking addition to the shooter genre and made the game 10x more fun than any other single player out then. The storyline was original and memorable while being somewhat tongue in cheek with neo-noir (sp? sorry... I'm not French) motifs.

Honestly, this is probably one of my all time favorite games and will likely remain that way even as I play tomorrow's blockbusters (heh, get it? GTA IV...).

That doesn't mean that I want them to make another one. Like I said before, that might ruin the whole thing for me if it sucks.

I wasn't. In my mind I was thinking by "better titles" as Silent Hill 2, 3, 4. Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy 8, Ratchet and Clank, Grand Theft Auto 3, Doom, Earthworm Jim.

So many better, OLDER, titles.

For sure. Max Payne 2 was one of the best games, and although it had its flaws, its story was good :)
