I just thought there should be some sort of guide for people who like to trade in games like post how much roughly each game is because there is nothing about it on the net and the other day I got 5 quid for Assassin's Creed when it said 13 in my Trade In guide I got from game. Basically it would help if people would post the prices people got for their games. So I will start I traded them in on Friday

UK List
Flatout Ultimate Carnage 2
Dynasty Warriors 6 15
Assassin's Creed 5

US List
NHL 08 $15
Army of Two $26
NFL Tour $8
Rock Band $45

As a rough guide, I usually just take the shop's pre-owned prices and half them.

They change the prices regularly depending on the amount of pre-owned copies they already have in of that game, how popular that game is and how new/old it is.

What I tend to do, because I have 2 GAME stores and a Gamestation store in the city I live in, is go to each store and get a quote from each for both in-store credit and cash-back.

I have noticed that Gamestation tend to give me the better prices, but sometimes you can get away with showing your quote receipts to the stores and they may give you a better price.

Just remember though, you can always ask to talk to the manager if need be. ;)

It's sort of hard to make a guide for this because theres so many trade in stores and ebay on top of that. It would get to dicey, plus game prices drop monthly if not weekly so this guide would grow out of date fast unless someone would keep up on it.

Yeah I don't think this guide is that worthwhile on account of the frequency of price changes and places to sell your games.

As a note, for anywhere with a CeX, their site tells you how much they give for games:

Flatout Ultimate Carnage 2
Dynasty Warriors 6 15
Assassin's Creed 5

Aw man, I totally would've given you more than that for both Assassin's Creed and Flatout! :(

I agree, in addition to sales and deals changing prices weekly, it should be apparent that prices will vary depending on where you are in the world.

Like a few have already said, this guide is a good idea, but with different countries and prices constantly fluctuating your better off going to a website like the one HERE (http://www.sellvideogames.com/sell_video_games_results.php?page=1&search=&systems=X360&siteid=1&userid=1382809700)

Here is a thought. Put a range price on there.

Say one guy gets $21 for a game.
Another gets $12 for the same game.

Game: $12-21

Just an idea...

Your best bet as always is to just call the store up to ask about the trade in value for a few games. Unless they have some deals going on where you can get extra for your trade ins they usually aren't worth it. If you really want to get rid of a game your best bet is either ebay or craigslist, you get better value for the games you sell and you can get used games for cheaper then you'll usually fine in the store.

I'd recommend putting the dates that these were recorded.

It varies from country to country, state to state, per console, per how many copies of a game the shop has got, and per how much demand there is. It's impossible to create a definite list.

To be honest, it was a bad idea. Someone come and lock this up as people are just posting with prices still. LOCK IT UP. DONT POST ANYMORE HERE.

Trade ins at EB Games, Gamestop, etc... are all ripoffs- when I sell something I sell direct to people at my school.

$1.10 for Call of Duty 2? Why didn't you just keep it? What the fuck do you buy with that, a candy bar?
