Here's a bunch of my drawings, scribbles and doodles I've done the past month or so, with my first 3D model thrown in for good measure.

Comments are always welcomed and appreciated.

(Starting with the new and going back through the old)

Comic page I drew the other day - tried using only my tablet, very rare for me XD

Finished shots of my first 3D model, there are earlier stages further down.

Concept art for it

So, on a train up to London, I noticed I had a blank sketchbook and some mechanical pencils with me, and my friends were preoccupied/ asleep, I started doodling away.

Here's the first one

This one and the next got smudged, unfortunately it was only afterwards I learnt not to use both sides of the pages

As for the next one... If you've ever tried to draw on a train, you'll understand

Eyes are a bit off on this but I do like how the skirt came out, kind of a redraw of something I drew at work ages ago on the back of a reciept

Pokemon time!

And finally, a couple of tough guys

I want to add a background and digitally colour it so it can be an XS wallpaper.

Drew this on the back of a reciept a customer left behind about two weeks ago, shame the reciept resisted the ink in some places

Still Life, a comic I posted up before the old forums closed

My first real 3D model, a demon fish (subdivided once to make it look presentable)

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj3/SamW_89/Fish06.png

Three demons/ monsters/ whatever. Most of you have probably seen these before

A very quick and rough underwater thing done in PhotoShop, only watermarked because it has to go on the Uni servers

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj3/SamW_89/Concept3.jpg

This one's very top heavy, but I still like it anyway

Page from a comic I'll likely never finish, seeing as I never even finished the first page.

Fear the might of Sakamoto!

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj3/SamW_89/Sakamoto-1.jpg

Sonic vs Knuckles, got quite a nice vibe to it.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj3/SamW_89/ee1dd94a.jpg

Possibly the most epic piece of Sonic fan art I've ever done and ever will do - a good old fashioned free-for-all brawl!

That is cool that we have some real, hand drawing artists. (Not saying sig makers are not artists.) They all look awesome.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I noticed there were a lot of signatures and such around here, almost assumed this section was only for PhotoShop and renders XD

@Nacro: One or two are inked, but most of the time I don't like to ink as I kind of grow attached to the construction lines - they add something to the image for me, something I lose when I then ink it.

@Antnie: Thanks =)

@Strongbad: Only the first few were done on the train, as I said, they span the last couple of weeks or so.

@Kiwi: Thanks, I'll be posting more stuff up later when I can get to my scanner.

Agreed - I have done some font sketches before and use the 'bars' technique to fashion them into more exciting forms and it always looks better with the rough lines (much like your construction lines). Until I ink them that is :)! But just as pencil drawings they look loads better with the construction lines!

That demon fish is your first 3d model? Wow, I'm impressed. What prog is that? 3ds max?

I used Silo to make the base mesh, and Maya to apply the texture map and rig it.
