I am heading out to college in a week or so, and I am planning on leaving my 360 at my house for my brother to use with his friends, which means I will be out of gaming. I am close enough to come home on the weekends if I want to (where I could play), but I probably wouldn't very often. And this just happens to be the time in gaming where there are alot of titles comming out that I have been looking forward to for quite some time (Fable 2, Gears 2, EndWar, World at War...)I was just seeing what you guys think I should do...

Can't you take your 360 with you?

Yea I could take it but that would be a dick move on my younger bro, who plays it alot too.

He'll live... I'd take it with you..
You can't miss out on so many great titles like GoW2, Fable2 etc..

That's the way I look at it too. If its yours, take it. When I moved out on my own, I did the same thing and my younger bro ended up saving money for his own 360. And he lived happily ever after. :p

I'd take it...let him suffer. :p Especially if it is your console.

My bro is 15 and he has been hanging out with kids 3 years older than him all his life, so he isn't one of those immature little brats.

Seriously mate, take the console with you. It might encourage your brother to actually do something productive with his life. Plus, if he wants one that much, he'll ask your parents to buy him a 360. You can't afford to miss games like Gears of War 2...

Personally I would take it but then again with the 360 dropping price so quickly should not take either one of you very long to get another if you grab a job.

Personally what I would do.. I would take the console if it's mine but give my little brother a live membership or a gift card to put towards a new one. Obviously I wouldn't buy him a brand new one.. but I really respect my family and would want to help my younger sibling out ;)

I'd leave it at home for the 1st semester and just focus on school. And in the 2nd semester if you think you can handle the schoolwork while having a 360 in your room then go for it. That's what I'm going to do. Plus, you can give him warning and time to buy a new Xbox if you do decide to take it the 2nd half of the year.

Take it with you. College is easy... I mean there will be classes that don't even give you homework or things to study. You'll also maybe have hours before your next class so unless you procrastinate on homework you'll be bored those two hours. Sometimes you get from a party and want to see how bad you are at gears when your blitzed. Honestly you'll have a lot of free time to game. I took my system and honestly it helped a lot when I needed time away from the roomates.

Take it! He's old enough to get a paper route and buy his own 360! :p

Edited:
i would leave it there for your little brother and buy a PSP (or DS, if you're into sad, poorly done touchscreen controls).

He's 15 and can earn his own XBox. Or get him 50€ and tell him to save the rest by cutting the loan like it's emo.

With the current releases comming up I'd rather die than leave my XBox (Die in Halo3 tough).

Take it with you, it may seem greedy, but it is your 360. You deserve it.

Take it, I plan to take mine to Uni. When my brother moved out to Uni I knew it was mine and didnt take it so he spent his summer getting money and he bought his own.

I voted for only playing while at home. The reason is college is more important then gaming. You can always have time to play games and what not, but if you screw up in college, your basically over. Yes I know I'm sounding like a parent, note I'm only 16 :p, but honestly, you need to set your priorities straight before it gets out of hand

id say either buy a new 360 or make yur brother buy one if he wants to play it but u will still need money to buy the games u want

I think you should take the 360. Seems like a bad idea to leave it behind. If you miss Gears 2 you'll never forgive yourself.

Take it with you and then when you visit, take it back. Or maybe you could let him use it for like 2 weeks and then go home and get it for 2 weeks. I say take it, he'll live.

I'd take it with me, but I guess the idea of getting a feel for college is a good idea too. But your bro better understand that if you want it, you're going to take it.

Just take it with you. Being a good brother is not as important as having Gears 2 and Fable 2 there :P
But you could just tell him to buy his own 360, and if you can, donate some money for his 360 fund :P

Did you buy the 360, or did your parents give it to you? IF Either one is yes, then take it.

Same with me. My leaving motivated my brother to get his ass in gear and start earning his own things!

I was in the same situation when I went to college (although with much older consoles LOL).

I just had a talk with my brother and decided what to do about it. In the end, he told me to just take it and he'd buy another one with savings he had.
