I decided to get Marlin Glave my first time at the Casino and I have to say that he was great to have so early in the game since he has 700+ HP and is a level 31 when you get him .

He's also the perfect golum to have in your party when you have to fight the fire devil golum. If you haven't fought him yet, then you'll see why when you do.

I must REALLY be missing out on the casino thing maybe i havent gotten far enough yet im still in doin the ice level. So far I am using the sasquatch (sp) for every battle. He is a monster! I also use Primrose a lot and mermaid can hold her own! I fought the 4 ice minions with her alone (my others died right away) and i was on 36 before I let them kill me so i could retry using the EX special with Atsuma.

The casino is pretty cool. There's a bunch of different stuff you can do there to earn tickets, which can be traded in for various prizes including weapons and extremely good golums.
Right now my favorite golum is the vampire. He's definitely the best one I've found so far.

Good luck with that. The golum you're referring to costs 10,000 tickets so you're best bet would be to play the golum battles. But some of those later battles will be hard to win even if you're a high level. So far I have 6 battles left to beat.

Not really there is a glitch....

In london city at the casino buy 1000 tokens, save right outside the doors..Play russian roulette with 1000 tokens, play on either odd or even, if you lose load ur game and retry (do this till u get to 20K tokens which is 20 trys..might take a lot more tho ) save at the door after u reach 20K, than go to Russian roulette table and bet on (15-20, or u can pick any random 5#s) bet 1000 tokens a peice on each of the 5#s uve selected, if you win sucessfully u get like 36K tokens... if you lose, load ur slot with ur 20K tokens and retry... once u have the 36K+ tokens leave save, and redo... I got up to about 200K+ in 25min or so *good luck*

Than you can take the tokens u have and trade them in for the potion itemns (there are ones that are like 400, and later u get other ones) take those to the shop and seel them for $, go back to the casion get potions and sell, repeat.... than you can buy a shit load of SP boosters at the shop... redo the process and u can max ur chr out *will take a lot of time*

I'm going to give this a try as I have got to beat that damn turtle in the water temple. I've been trying like crazy and got his power down to nothing but power left to perform a move, so I had to do standby and he killed me on his turn.

I renamed him Darth Malak so I don't remember his name, but my favorite character is evil looking knight with the big sword. I've had him since about the first hour of the game he is close to a 1,000, in both EP and EP, his direct and range attacks are out of this world (we've fought a lot of battles, and I've spent all my money on more SP, for him and I).

Has anyone been able to find the big troll golem that carries the damn club.

This game is going to ruin my gamerscore I can't stop playing and I'm not even progressing in the game I'm just fighting and building my characters up because I want to beat that damn turtle, he is much tougher than the one in the fire temple. Also has anyone found out what this "weapon of the gods" is that you have to give to the guardian to get the "god orb"

Why is the most expensive thing at the casino APO Core and its 50,000 chips and is at level one and sucks more than toya's boyfriend mokato.

My fav's are definitely Raiko, Apo, and Calabaza. They look cool and they own. And to above poster Apo is one of the strongest golems in the game.

I believe you I just don't see how he can be. My main golem right now is ruby butterfly. It was saber tiger but then ruby came along and had way better stats.

I'm at level 17, and I figured APO would probably be some sort of "Magicarp" type monster which sucks initially but becomes awesome, and I was right.

I kept him in my party for a bunch of easy battles to level him and get him some SP. he initially doesn't even have enough energy to perform any attack at all, but once he levels a few times (very fast considering he's level 1), he'll be able to do a single attack.

You have the option of setting up an instant combo attack (raise everyone's combo gauge to 100), or "drain life" from every single square on the opposite side.

APO also has ridiculous amounts of health, so he can not only attack from anywhere, he's also a good shield.

Stick him into combat whenever you can to get more SP (just having him with you only gives him experience, not SP). With some SP, you can go in and tweak his Parameters.

He's got some incredibly idiotproof stats to raise. The only moves he'll ever have are both "Support" moves according to the classification system, so you never have to spend a single point in Direct, Ranged, or Agility. The only things you need to raise are EP and Support. Raise EP six times and that's one more attack you can do before you have to go on standby. Raise Support to increase the damage done by each attack.

Initialy you want to focus on giving him a second move so he's not just dead weight in a fight, so dump 5-6 EP upgrades into him. thats 30+90+180+300+450+680, I think. Dump at least 30 + 90 into Support right away as well, to give some kick to his attacks.

Once you start getting to the point where you've got excess SP, dump a few points into HP to make him even more of a tank.

Eventually with enough leveling and perameter-building, You'll be able to potentially send this badass into battle on his own and win. He heals himself as he does damage, so if they dont kill him on the first hit, and/or they don't have health recovery, they are SCREWED. He single-handedly beat a boss battle for me, I wont ruin it, but it is a boss that spawns henchmen. that drain health. APO gave back as good as they gave and better, and after about 12 rounds after everyone else had died, he won. I only have him with enough EP for 3 attacks, and his Support rating is around 375? I dont know exactly.

He is NASTY. He doesn't need more than 20 VP when he doesn't lose any because when he's in the party, you generally win on the first turn almost every time. I got him and Marlin Glave or whatever and they're my go-to golems.

They're VERY easy to get too. drop 500 bucks into the casino and get 25 tokens, play the slots (I played Lucky whatever) and play until you hit the big jackpot (I got 500 tokens). Reload if you go broke. Once you get that, save, and go play roulette. Play red or black until you get some decent change, saving and reloading periodically as necessary, then start betting on 1 when you've got 25,000+. you should hit it 2 or 3 times before you run out of money, so thats about 20k profit each time. Pretty soon you should have more than enough to last you the rest of the game.

Edit: Just wanted to add that there are a few areas in the game where they delight in throwing 5 or 6 low level monsters on screen at once hoping to wittle down your VP before you can get to a healpoint. Well, APO SLAUGHTERS guys in these areas in one hit, usually with overkill or overkill upper. E.G., I run into guys with 30-60 HP, like packs of dogs or something, and I hit each of them with APO for 111 damage. Great for powerleveling, if you're so inclined.

Omega is great because he can basically take care of 3-4 golems easy. His "Near Death" Attack is the best one in the game.

Marlin is my main man at the moment, although I've just come back to London so I'm going to synth a few more golems and try them out.

I must say I've used the trick at the casino a lot. It might be considered cheating, but I honestly don't know how I would've gotten this far without Marlin!

To Gprime: You can take out 9 Recover's from the casino for 50 chips each, and then sell them at the shop for 5,400 all together. Very handy for buying SP too.

I liked Odin a'lot. Also Anubis and Divine Turtle were killers in bigger levels. But i played most of the game with Atsuma, Raigar, Odin and the fourth one was nearly always Ruby Butterfly, Galirya, Vampire or Marlin Glaive.

I used Lord Onyx for most of the game, but I liked some of the lengendary beasts as well. The Divine Turtle and the Aero Dragon had some time on team as well throughout the game.

While the Turtle is still the greatest Golem of them all, yesterday on my way to taking what was so rightfully mine I had a chance to play a lot with The Executor.

And I don't know what it is about him, maybe the artillery cannons and machine guns, the way he scream "I'm About to Go Full Throttle" or if it's the way he says "This is about to be over, CHECKMATE" when he knows you don't have enough health to survive the onslaught but he is now right up there as my favorite, alongside the Cye of the Torrent.

It's been a while since i've played but I remember APO being the absolute best of any golum (excluding omega.) His 2 abilitys are incredibly useful and as long as there's at least 2 enemies you can stick him in the corner and drain their life all day even if you run outta vp it comes back quick enough that you can win. It was the only way I beat the game at around level 40ish with my characters. Pretty much solo'd the earth golem and was doing about 6000 to every enemy at the end of the game.

APO's HP Drain Attack is a 39HP attack. Maxed at 999 for his Support Skill his HP Drain can only do 399 HP in damage. Since this attack is not aligned by his Earth element it doesn't do double damage. So there is no way he's doing 6000 in HP damage. In fact only Atsuma, Yuki, Sebastian, Sphinx, Omega, Samurai, and Reiko are able to deliver attacks of over 6000 in HP. Even if he is powered up to the max at 75% by Aliabard and drains six enemies he wouldn't reach 6000 in HP.
