If you get stuck in the game or just have a question about it in general, post it here. I've played through over half the game now and expect to beat it in the next few days so I'll answer whatever questions I can.

Where does this disk go?

Whats the level up system like is it your typical rpg affair?

TheMollywhopper
09-06-2006, 11:32 PM
Leveling up occurs to all of your active party members, as well as your party in reserve. You have 4 active party members at all times, plus up to 8 eight additional slots for backups (you can switch them out at any time between battles). All 12 of these characters level up as you progress and receive your run of the mill stat boosts accordingly (HP, Attack bonuses, etc.). The kicker is that your 4 active party members also receive bonus XP after each match (assuming they survive it) that you can apply to whatever stats you prefer. The battle system reminds me a lot of DQVIII, but with a visible grid you move your characters on. It's a little odd at first but you get used to it pretty quickly. It's an overall decent RPG.

certain items (like most of the gems) you can have up to 999 i think, thats how many i had with the power speed and the other gem, everything else i think is only 9 at a time which sucks

Can someone please tell me their levels for HP, EP, Direct (or Ranged if that's your characters specialty). Saying don't do it until you are Level 50 really doesn't help, because of the Casino Glitch.

For example I'm only at level 25 but all of my starting four players have stats....

HP - 1500 or better
EP - 1200 or better
Direct - 1000 or better
Ranged - 1000 or better

I know these are way beyond typical level 25 stats. Having used as much TB as I have (well over 5 million, I still have 2.5 million left to power them up before moving on to defeat the evil turtle.) I would imagine these are even beyond typical level 50 stats.

I keep going into the Casino to do Golem Battles just to see how powerful I am now and I'm on Battle 26 I believe and can easily defeat enemies with 800-1000 HP with one of Atsuma’s weak blows. Atsuma's Mega Flare Rush is at 1582 HP.

And for anyone who has tried can you confirm the following…

I think I have a way to defeat that evil Terrapin. I have purchased Yuki’s Sniper Shot from the Casino along with the Demon Gun so her power is through the roof, and with the Sniper Shot she should be able to kill him with one shot (at least according to the description of the attack it kills any one enemy). The only problem is the Demon Gun drops her HP way down so I’m going to have to build it back up so the Turtle, and his ungodly 1200 HP attack doesn’t kill her on the first turn. With my luck she’ll probably start the match in a position where she can’t use the Sniper Shot on him.

TheMollywhopper
09-11-2006, 08:02 PM
Firstly, DROP the demon gun. Use the Iris weapons instead (going for balance here). I read number somewhere that the Sniper Shot does a certain % of damage to certain enemies' HP. For example, I believe it was 33.8% towards the final boss. Anyways, what this boils down to is that it's the absolute best attack to use on the first turn of any boss fight, then becomes incrementally less useful after each attack (I only use it once or twice per fight). As far as statlines I can't say for sure where I was at (I don't have the game anymore) but my 4 cast members were at levels 47-49 with 2400-3200 HP a piece.

Wreckon Dracgon
09-12-2006, 10:44 AM
Okay that helps some I imagine that I'll get a lot more health and other boosters as I level up. I worked a few more hours yesterday leveling up.

I have most of my people now at about 2,000 for everything. I do have one question. I've spent about 2 hours yesterday getting Ruby Butterfly up to 2500 for health and I don't even know where her direct is I just know her main attack is over 1000 HP that was my goal.

Now my question is did I just waste 2 hours because there are other Golems I'll collect along the way that are more power than that?

Either way it's not a waste I guess because she'll help me breeze through the next few levels.

I'm almost finished the battles in the Casino after powering them up yesterday. I breezed through another 3 levels in the Casino. Poseidon took out the Fire Guardian in one blow.

Damn I'm addicted to this game.

Hey I'm going to add you to my friends list "TheMollywhopper" as soon as I delete somebody.

(And your right about Yuki's Sniper Shot, it only takes off about 70-80% on some enemies, and others it's only about 30-40%)

side quest

TheMollywhopper
09-13-2006, 03:43 AM
You'll know when you're able to do the side quests, as you'll get to a part towards the end of the game when you are presented with a line of teleporters to take you to various convenient locations... I think @ about 92% completion, but don't quote me on that.

TheMollywhopper
09-13-2006, 03:49 AM
Some of the golems in the Holy Beast shrine are so good you'll forget the others ever existed. I still used Marlin Glave and Floresia at the end of the game, though.
If you're having problems getting Yuki in range to use her sniper shot, There's a support skill you can buy after you've reached Vorbois Volcano that allows your characters to move anywhere on the map.

btw I accepted your friend request earlier, so if you need any help you can ask me on XBL as well.

Isnt that just like FFx? Because that what it seems like to me except everyone in ur party gets Xp even if u dont use them.

TheMollywhopper
09-13-2006, 04:35 AM
To be honest with you, I don't remember FFX... I was a freshman in college when it came out and I was on a vodka & mdma bender the week I played through that one.

I decided to go ahead and move on because it seems as though there are tons of goodies still waiting for me. (I'm at London City after the battle with the Fire Devil Golem).

I finished powering up Atsuma, Yuki, Poseidon and Ruby Butterfly then went ahead and left London City, for Kyoto City, via Junk City.

But before departing I had to challenge the Phoenix and his 9700 HP just to see how I would match up against him with my new powers and all.

So I start my turn by powering up Poseidon and Ruby, Sniper Shot by Yuki, and my 1500 HP Mega Phoenix Shot from Atsuma... ohh the disappointment when the Phoenix shot does no damage. But the Sniper Shot ohhh what a great move 4120 HP.

Phoenix's next move over 1000 HP to Yuki, 2000 HP to Poseidon, but no damage to Ruby and Atsuma.

So my next turn I see it pointless to use Ruby accept to power up and heal because if the Phoenix didn't do any damage to her and Atsuma didn't do any to him I take it we can't hurt each other. So I only attack with Poseidon (1820 HP attack) and Yuki (720HP Pop Shot) use Atsuma, and Ruby to heal them.

Anyway to end this before I right a book about it Poseidon finished him off on my next turn.

So my question is now with the Phoenix in hand I know I'm going to whip that Turtles ass... but I don't want to run all the way back to London City only to be told "I can't go back I must find Toya" so do I get to go back there again soon?

And the Phoenix in case you haven't used him is good but not great. He has an attack like the Sniper Shot that can take out just about anyone I'm currently facing. But his best move his is return/heal support move that affects your entire board. He also has a move that damages their entire board but since he is only a level 6 right now he only does about 110HP damage. I have over 6 million in TB left so I may power his HP and Direct attacks up. He also has a move that changes the enemies alignment. Which I don't know why he didn't use that on Poseidon during our battle.

Anyway thanks for the tips and help.

Edit - I forgot to mention you also get a new weapon for Atsuma called Wildfire when you defeat the Phoenix. It raised my HP to 3200, EP to 2600, but dropped my direct down to 1200. So I'm sticking with my Smokin Champ for now.

Questtion: So for the London thing, I can go there whenever I want to when the map is available? Or is it on the track system where I only go when a certain part of the game demands it? I just wanna know if I can play through the game or should I soak up on SP items? I am currently on the second time in London and have not left! I didn't go to the first casino one, did I miss different prizes?

TheMollywhopper
09-13-2006, 11:02 AM
To my knowledge, the only time you can't go to London City is, as Dracgon mentioned, when you're "looking for Toya"... I didn't go back for some time after that, but when I went back I walked straight in. The casino/shops adds new items after the following:
When you finish the Sealed Ward
When you leave the Magic Laboratory
When you finish the Inferno Temple
When you reach Vorbois Volcano

Wreckon Dracgon
09-13-2006, 11:12 AM
Thanks Mollywhopper, I figured as much that's why I loaded up on cash before leaving. Tyger 7, I would advise you to do the same, that way you can power up any Golems you find along the way.

What I did was used about 5 million TB to power up my starting four characters before leaving London. I then won another 800,000 chips and traded those in for another 5 million in TB to carry around before leaving London. This way whenever I get a new Golem to power up, all you need to do is find a shop and purchase the skill gems.

Mollywhopper one other question I have is when do I get the Golem that looks like Gundam - Wing Zero. I finished up the Golem Battles at the Casino and he was I believe in the fourth to the last group that you fight. He had over 2000 HP and an attack that appeared to hit everyone in the first couple rows and did over 1000HP of damage.

TheMollywhopper
09-13-2006, 12:03 PM
Is it one of these?:
Grand Cross V - (You can get him from the shops after Vorbois Volcano)
Ground Breaker - Holy Beast Shrine Lvl 5
SG Dominion - Holy Beast Shrine Lvl 5
SG Sentor - (Can't remember for the life of me, but this one looked like something from Narnia, like a half horse/half man)

Those are all of the Gundam-looking golems to my knowledge.

Wreckon Dracgon
09-13-2006, 12:10 PM
That's him SG Dominion. I must get my ass to the Shrine. - Thanks man.

I can't wait to power up my Phoenix (although I don't know what I'm going to name him). As of now he is only a level 6, has a direct attack of only 160, yet his attack has an HP of over 280. I can't wait until I get his direct over 1,000.

We should have a tournament for this game.

TheMollywhopper
09-13-2006, 12:15 PM
We should... Someone suggested it in the tourney forum and I seconded the idea... It's a shame I traded the game in towards Test Drive through! Oh well, I'm sure I can't rent it somewhere.

My fellow Golem Hunters Dracgon needs your help.

Is there another Golem later on in the game that has a Mega Power Up. Currently I use Sasquatch in some battles and use his power up which is referred to as Power Up+ and it gives you a 50% power up to your surrounding party. This is great to get Atsuma's EX moves into the 3000-5000hp range (once he powers up also) but I hate that the Sasquatch takes up four spaces on the board.

I'm at the part of the game just after defeating the Earth Devil Golem who was a total weakling. I'm now running back to Junk City to have the boy remove the junk, so I may pass and head onto the Sage. I made a quick detour to the Casino to pick up the evade random battles (thank god that's over), I also found out there is a Mega Skill Gem at the shop now... ohh my god is that going to save me so much time. I had to go back to an older save because I used up all 5 million of my TB to power up the Turtle and Phoenicia then I found the Wind Temple and had no funds to power up the Aero Dragon anyway...

My questions are...

Is there a Golem with a power up like Marlin Glave's but to the group not just himself?

Anyone who has powered up their direct or ranged parameters to the Max 999 what is your best Golems Direct HP attack power.

And Phoenicia is located in the Londinus Plains North Forest in the Fire Temple right before you enter the stairway to return to Yokohama City off to your left you'll see a second green square this is where she is located.

I may be wrong, but I believe the higher your team's speed is, the less likely it is that your team will be caught off guard. By raising my speed a lot in the Holy Beast Shrine, I was able to get through more fights without losing teammates.

OK looking for a little help with a Golem. It's late and I've been playing for oh 5-6 hours straight so I could blame my blindness on well not being able to focus on the screen very well. I'm having trouble locating Sphinx golem. I'm at/near the White Flower Field at least I think this is the right place in the Basin I think where the cess and the gun nut yak about the flowers? I'll check back tomorrow and be shamed by my ignorance because I'm either in the wrong place or just waltzed right by it :/ Thanks!

I need a little more info as to which point you are at the White Flower Fields.

Have you gone to Junk City, completed the investigation as to who stole the Golem Flute, returned it to it's rightful owner, found Yuki, etc...

You must do all those things above before returning to the White Flower Field to fight the Sphnix. The first time you walk through the White Flower Field Karin and Yuki will make the comments you mentioned below. You do not fight the Sphinx at this time. You need to continue north through the field and onto Junk City.

I don't want to give too much of the story away but all the events I mentioned above need to take place before this battle.

If you have any questions or need further assistance just post a note here or send me a question on Xbox Live.

Sorry for the outburst I've been without internet access at home for two and a half days and it's starting to get to me. I need my Golem Battles or I just don't function right.

If you need any other help just let me know here, or on XBL between the hours of 4a and 4p. :(

Just wanted to send my condolences over the no net thing, I know it is teh sux. And thanks again for the info trotting along to the finale now, quite irritating that leveling up just through gameplay isn't enough to actually play the game. One must adhere to ripping the roulette table to amass chips to then waste hours transferring into tablets which then are funneled into skill gems... ahhh the redundancy. But it's been an enjoyable ride other than that issue, I have a friend that tells me to "Shut it!" all the time and hearing it here was amusing.

No problem man two days and counting until I get my home situation fixed.
I think I may get cable broadband as well, as a back up in our bedroom.

I had to go out to SF for work and before I left I took my 360 to work to play Enchanted Arms online. Ohhh how I missed thee.

BTW I love that avatar. Omega Red is so underrated in the Marvel Universe.

Also you did select not to kill Toya right? I see that as your last achievement and was just wondering. If you select to kill Toya you won't get the final two achievements and face the true final bosses.

Ya I selected not to kill him and then summarily got my arse handed to me multiple times by the Queen. I'm now deciding if those last few points are worth the time it's going to take at the roulette table to sponge my team up enough to tackle her. I agree with OR being underrated, I was disappointed in his meager role in XML2 it felt like an after thought at best... oh we need a boss fight here.... how about Omega Red?! Slap him in there post hast! *sigh*

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13838

Yuki's Sniper Shot does not work on Devil Golems. Also Yuki should not be in your group for this fight unless she has 6000 in HP. Being a Wind Golem when he uses his World Creation it's going to do almost 2000 in damage.

Also see the guide I've posted on the forum for any additional help

hey guys, I have like 1.5 million chips in the casino, how the hell do I turn that into cash. They only way I have found so far is buying those damn potions and selling them 9 at a time, which takes ages and is bloody annoying as hell.

Any help?

Wreckon Dracgon
04-10-2007, 11:55 AM
There is no other way to change it into cash. Depending on how far you are in the story there will be two items at the Casino. The God's Ambrosia which is 50 chips and = 5400 TB and later there is the God's Vigor which less for 400 and = 21600 TB.

Then it's just a matter using the TB to buy Skill Gems and later Mega Skill Gems.

All of which is explained right HERE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15733)

Wreckon Dracgon
04-10-2007, 03:13 PM
You are about an hour or two away from returning to the Casino. Once you do the God's Vigor will be available to trade in for TB.

And yes it does take ages... It took me 35 hours to get my Golems leveled up the first time I reached the Casino. When I was at the part of the game you are currently. My line up was....

Atsuma - 2800 HP
Divine Turtle - 1500 HP
Phoenicia - 2800 HP
Floresia - 1200 HP

All with Max Direct, Ranged, and Support (Support only for Phoenicia and Floresia)

Ohh the good old days... how I miss playing my game.
Only 7 weeks to go and I can Golem Battle again.

Hey guys. I'm up to the earth Devil Golem and have finally realised a problem i have. NO matter what I've done I cant seem to access Atsumas (or anyone elses for that matter) Acquired EX attacks. I have only ever been able to use the first ones they each get. Could someone please give me some advice as to what i could be doing wrong that the option hasn't even appeared in the game for me to use them (they are there, just always grey)though Atsumas first EX attack is available for me to use every so often. I'm just really annoyed about this because the game was a walk in the park up till this point.

I finished this game fairly easy against the queen by just using omega (main boss of the beast shrine) every round, and then have 1 person hit her once and she is dead. simple. works in the final battle of the game as well.
use yukis sniper shot to wear omega out! he makes it so easy.

hey all! I am stuck for some reason at the resistance hideout. I have beaten ooka and raiger is in a holding cell cuz they think he is a mole. the guide i have been using is talking about some bar coming up about an investigation, so I have went everywhere within the walls of the resistance hideout and talked to everyone. I have no investigation bar. What do I do????

Wreckon Dracgon
07-17-2008, 12:09 PM
If memory serves me right after Raigar gets arrested, you should have went to the operations room and Yuki and Karin left your party. Once that happens and you go talk to Raigar in his cell all you need to do is go to sleep.

Once you're asleep the story will progress as something happens while you sleep. After this happens I would advise you to spend some time and money in leveling Raigar up... he's going to need it if he hasn't been in your party.

Wreckon Dracgon
07-17-2008, 12:56 PM
Okay then you need to talk to some people, then you can talk to Raigar... I thought you had already talked to Raigar. So again this is from memory so forgive me if I'm not too clear. If you don't make it out I'll pop the game in when I get home as I know I have a save at the hideout.

So after you fight the invading knights Raigar departs. Go talk to the lady standing by magicore in the fountain (inside the main area of the hideout). Then go to the refectory and talk to the guy on the left. Then go to the dormitory and go up the ladder and talk to the guy here. Then exit the hideout and go to the entrance of the ruins across the bridge and talk to the guy by the ladder. Now head to the operations room and Karin and Yuki will leave your party. Then you can go talk to Raigar, then you can go to sleep... and then the story will progress as you sleep.

For Atsuma you should get to around 999 in Direct and Ranged, and 4000-5000 HP. (Use the Casino, don't grind levels).

Don't know what your other Golems are so I can't recommend any stats for them.

Those are the five Queen of Ice's minions.
They are all water related, so you should take them down with Atsuma's EX "Phoenix".
You should keep Atsuma far from their attack range because they could kill him in seconds.
Just attack normally with Karin and Raigar, and cure with some golem you're using until now.
This battle is a bit tricky if you had been negleted the parameters's raising.
Hope this help.

Glad to know that someone is still playing this wonderfull game.

Well, it isn't worthless... I've finished the game just using APO (after launching Atsuma's 3rd EX) and letting all other members die...(i also had the useless yuki in the party for an error, with 1000 HP)

Note that APO is my most powerfull character and he is

Level 47
HP 2706
EP 1097
Support 999
Agility 540

If someone want to finish the game without going into the beast shrine, or loose time at the casino, i suggest to boost this little bit apo :)

Ps. Thanks to Wreckon Dracgon for the guide ;)

I just beat the boss where Karin was "trapped" in. I'm at the casino for the 3rd time (might be 2nd because I don't have God's Vigor to exchange) and I am wondering if I should just keep leveling up the characters I have, or I should change and use different ones. My current lineup is'

Atsuma
Sasquatch
APO
Marlin

Since I am technically not even 50% done with the game, enemies are still fairly easy to defeat and my characters are not even fully maxed as the achievement guide suggests. I just don't wanna waste time leveling a character that I am no longer going to be needing.

I found it wasn't too hard to beat the game with switching up my active golems every so often. Towards the end, I was swapping in Pheonicia and a couple of the other Beast Shrine guardian ones, which were relatively underlevelled, and I didn't have much trouble. So don't worry about it too much -- if you find the ones you're using have peaked, switch it up.

Use the cores to create new golems or weapons, but you can't do it from inventory. You need to go to a shop crystal and have enough of the right type of gems in your inventory.

If you leave the casino and return later in the story, do you retain all of the chips that you've previously won? I have over 700,000 remaining at the moment. 1. I just already finished this game, but why there's still 3 achivements
not unlocked? Is there any glitch? I think the achievements are not
unlock, after beating ice of queen in ice temple (Final area) & happy
ending achievements, and one more is after beating efreet,
2. How can i got happy ending ?
If i read the guide, there's only must second choose when i fought
Touya at ice temple (Final area).

I'm stress because i spent almost 80 hours to beat this game, but there's still 3 achievements not unlocked. Any suggestion ?
thanx.

It has been a while but it seems like every achievement came through natural progression except Happy Ending which is in fact a missable achievement. I don't recall what exactly was required to obtain Happy Ending (other than answering "Never" to Touya near the end of the game) but you should check the achievement guide. If you've done everything correctly you get a bonus dialogue and receiving the achievement before the credits. If you don't have a save prior to the final boss encounters you will have to replay the entire game.

Yeah a mate of mine had it when it first came out on his 360 I played and enjoyed it but then completely forgot about it......Now I am looking for a JRPG that is turn based and having already played Lost Odyssey when it first came out I want to go back and play this one again......
