writing this guide. I may come back and add one eventually.

Alien Maggots are Gonna Pay - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif
Finish the "Hollywood Holocaust" level in under 3 minutes.

You must finish the very first level in under three minutes, which is actually very easy. You don't have to really rush to make it in under 3 minutes. Here is a link to a step-by-step guide to doing it also by Amazon XD: GUIDE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=92738)

And here is a video speed-run of level one on PC:

Shake It Baby - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif
Tip an exotic dancer.

In the second level in the first episode, called "Red Light District", get past the door that requires the yellow key. Go inside the building then take a left, then turn right to face the pool table. Go past it and take the first right into the bar. Go up to the woman in blue and black and press http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/x.png.

Here's a video in case you're lost:

Duke's Mighty Foot - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif
Step on 40 enemies after using the Shrinker on them.

Simply shrink enemies using the Shrinker and walk up to them to step on them. Rinse and repeat. The Shrinker is the silver looking ray gun weapon with a green ammo cell in the middle of it.

You first acquire the Shrinker on Episode I Level 4, in the part when you need to slide a card (red card I think) and then it reveals the Shrinker, and you need to get to the other side of a small passage.

You can shrink any enemy, including the alien pods or eggs (Thanks Wilkz07).

The absolute easiest way to get this is to start up "Duke Burger" in Episode IV and go to the back to the drive through and press http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/x.png on the menu, then jump on top of it and grab the Shrinker and blue key card in a compartment which opens, save your game, use all the ammo, load and repeat. All kills are saved.

Looks Like Cleanup on Aisle 4 - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif
Step in a pile of excrement.

On the second level of Episode IV, called "Duke Burger", play through the level until you get to the bathroom where you shrink yourself, go through the vent in the right corner. Then you will be in the kitchen, turn right and go into a hallway with a red key door. Go through the red key door and the poop is at the side of the assembly line thing after the laser trip bombs. Step in it to receive this achievement.

You can also get it in a Dukematch on the same level and also on the level "Lunar Reactor" (I think). In the area with the first key card, there is a portable med kit and it is in here, just walk around. It is on the way to the key card, you can't miss it.

(Thanks to APerfektFIaw, the blac plague, TLF Rambo, and Ray5555).

Earn respect and get 500 total kills in ranked Dukematch games (Online).

You can either get them legit (it's not that difficult) or you can boost in the way below:

To do it legit, the best way to do this is to try to get 10-20 kills per match and try to get the 8-player matches on Stadium. Just shoot at people with your pistol and you'll get kills no problem.
To boost, get a one on one on Hollywood Holocaust or Movie Set. Kill yourself and the other player with a rocket launcher. 1 suicide + 1 kill = 2 kills. The rocket launcher is in the beginning at the secret spot (Thanks Birky), or on Movie Set, inside the fake space ship control room.

It's going to be the same as the pc version, so it's possible to make a guide before the xbla version of the game comes out.

So what? The guide is still the guide, we have the achievement list, I guessed and or used previous knowledge from the PC version to make out how to get the achievements. Does it really matter when it is made? It's still going to be made right?

No problem, the best thing to do is buy the game when it comes out and just see if your guide helps you through the game, if it does just send it to the mods to put up :)

Amazon XD
09-20-2008, 09:28 AM
No, the person has right in the way of saying that you shouldn't post Achievement Guides until the game comes out.

I personally (especially in cases like this, where there are re-releases) don't care, but mods always get angry when you post achievement guides before the release date, but since I highly doubt any mods are really worried about this board, it'll be fine.

Nevander
09-20-2008, 04:53 PM
Why should anyone get mad about someone creating a little document with text and pictures at a certain time on a website. I mean who cares? Like I said to the guy that said "You can't release this before the game blah blah blah...", the guide is still the guide. It will be made. It has been made. Especially if it is a re-release. Same game man, just slight changes. By the way, the mods haven't said a single thing to me yet, I haven't even had any contact by any of them yet. So how about you worry about yourself and stop saying who's right and wrong.

On the "Shake it Baby" video you posted, the Achievement Unlocked thing pops up... how???

It unlocks because this is a video of the XBL version that the beta testers, I guess, filmed. They went up to a chick and pressed the use button, then they got the achievement. Simple.

Nevander

If it's going to be deleted, why hasn't it been already? I thought the mods here are spot on? If they are it would be gone already. And honestly, I don't see ANYTHING wrong with posting an achievement guide on a website for a game that will be coming out that half the world already knows pretty much by heart. I think you're jealous that I made it first.

BTW: From the link you posted: "If you were lucky enough to get the game early, or if the game is a direct port (i.e. the game actually is out already, just not on the 360)"

Looks like I win.

Great guide, dude! Also, thanks for the SECRETS GUIDE... saves me hunting GameFAQs!

I find it ironic that the guy who said you shouldn't post guides before the game is released is a BANNED USER. Says something about him!
(but in interests of fairness, simple-minded political correctness & downright dumbness... he has the right to express his own opinions, even if the admins of this board obviously do not agree with them!)

Ok I understand that I should ask permission first and all. I guess since I love Duke so much and stuff I just wanted to finally be the first to create an achievement guide for it and I guess I thought someone would beat me to it so I just kinda went ahead and just directly posted it. I mean at least I made the guide right, I think. I mean everything is in correct format so that's a plus. Sorry if I was acting like a dick mjc0961, like I said it's my first guide, I just wanted to finally have one made. No hard feelings. ;)

Yeah, the guide looks pretty good. Posting it early is probably the only thing you did wrong, but overall the guide looks pretty good. Once it comes out and you figure out the online kills boosting, they'll probably post it on the site.

Anyway, here's to some friendly fragging over Xbox Live! :uzi:

Not sure how to boost them. I don't think you can but if someone can let me know how that would be good. Looks like you're going to have to just fight. The best guns to use would be the rocket launcher. Go for it and you're golden.

I'm getting mine legit but there is a way to do it. If you look at the leaderboards someone has 504-2 deaths. Look at their videos and he's playing against someone just standing there.

You can get this during the second episode. I forget the mission name, but it is the one with the lava on the ground, and you have to use jet packs to get to the end of the stage. In the area with the first key card, and a portable med kit is. just walk around. Honestly it is on the way to the key card. you can't miss it.

For shake it baby achievement you dont even have to pay a dancer. the girl in the bar before going into the club itself that is standing by the bucket of beers you can pay here she dont move or take top off but the achievement still pops. Also for people wondering if its gonna be hard to get the 500kills.... i played online last nite and got 60kills in less then 30 mins so it wont take long at all. esp if you find a bunch of people hording in a circle and a quick pipe bomb or rpg to the crowed usally clears em out fast!! Step on 40 enemies after using the Shrinker on them.
Simply shrink your enemies using the Shrinker and walk up to them to step on them. Repeat 39 more times. The Shrinker is the silver-ish looking ray type gun with a green thing in the middle of it. You first acquire the Shrinker on Episode I Level 4. You can shrink any enemy, including the alien pods or eggs (Thanks Wilkz07). There are two good fast ways to do this.

where can you get a shrinker in episode 1? i thought you couldnt get any of the weapons after the pipe bomb till episode 2 onwards?

For the secrets achievement you should add somewhere that you must find 70 different secrets and that there are X (I don't know the number, but as the guide writer you should find out) amount of total secrets.

Also, you can boost online. One on one; level Hollywood Holocaust. Kill yourself and the other player with a rocket launcher. 1 suicide + 1 kill = 2 kills. The rocket launcher is in the beginning at the secret spot.

Thankyou for posting this. It is speeding up my killin by a mile.

And some are wondering how exactly you do you accomplish getting two people into the same ranked game? If you own 2 xboxes, and both are connected to LIVE, you search for games at the same time, most of the time the system will put both your boxes together seeing as how there is like zero ping between them.

Wouldn't this mean that you'd have to have purchased teh game twice? I'm as much of an achievement whore as the next guy, but buying a game twice for 50 gamerscore seems a tad silly.

No no, I mean like I have two people living in my house, so I myself am not buying the game twice :) i made that sound like i had two of em.

I just meant that the closer one lives to someone else, the higher the odds are that youre going to be paired up.

I also have friends who own this game, and live in my town, so I already did the achievement boosting that way. First try to search for games and it paired us up.

09-29-2008, 05:51 AM
You can beat the first level in under 15 seconds by putting the difficulty setting to come get some (damn I'm good will work too). Then once the level starts, go down the vent, run straight, then run into the back ally. Once you're there jump on the pig's head, then jump on the ledge (it's on the left if you're facing the door. then on the bridge and push the exit button.

You can see people do this if you check the leader boards for speed runs.

Birky
09-29-2008, 11:48 AM
Another thing about the boosting is that you can do it all in one game. If you kill someone and get a suicide then your in game score won't change, but it will add two kills to your overall score. This way you only have to get matched up with your boosting partner once. 500 kills should take roughly 3-3.5 hours.

silentbob0
09-29-2008, 04:34 PM
To be honest I really don't see the point of boosting for the Dukematch achievements as it doesn't take long at all anyway, and it is much more fun doing it normally than boosting unless you can't find many people to play with. I have found though that it is best to do the live achievements as soon as possible though because after a while there will be nobody online at all so you won't be able to get them without boosting. I had this problem with Doom on XBLA.

Birky
10-06-2008, 09:00 PM
A new way I found to boost quicker is to only get suicides. Go into a 1 v 1 match and find your boosting partner. Keep doing this until you get a match with no time limit. Once you are in this match familiarize yourself with the explosive weapons and environmental ways to die. Now, simply keep killing yourself 500 times. No need to waste time waiting up for your friend, just killing yourself. Since there is no time limit you can take breaks and go at your own pace.

Nevander
10-06-2008, 10:34 PM

People who say crap like this should pay attention to the website's guidelines for writing an achievement guide. And if they still disagree, they should take it up with the guide team, not kind forum users who are simply pointing out current website policy.

Anyway, I saw in the "Achievement Unlocked" newspost that your guide was finally added. Good job, Nevander! I wonder why they didn't sticky this topic yet, though.
