When Xbox releases a new console do you think they will reset achievement score? I probably won't be gaming but how upset would you be?

I personally don't think they should, but they might want a fresh start with new games or get rid of GS.

.....thoughts ???

You make it sound like it has definately been confirmed, which it hasn't. Although it's highly probable.

It most likely will though. Since thats what they did for the original Xbox. Not with achievements of course, but with actual accounts. And if they keep achievements(which I have no doubt they will) it'll be carried over.

If the next console has backwards compatibility, odds are achievements will pass over. After all, they're bits of information saved on the disk, not the console. The question is if the new games will feature them. I think so.

I would like to lose the gamerscore or have a seperate part on the Gamercard where it says 360 GS: ******* and 720 GS: *******

Yeah. Because if they dont, Bill gates is going to have thousands of pissed off gamers egging his car

More like 2-3 Years

Microsoft is aiming to launch their "next" console in 2011, so 2-3 years is pretty accurate.

As for the Achievement/Gamerscore system, MS is supposedly working on ways to transfer our Profiles over to the new console. No official statement has been released from MS of course, but I'm sure they're smart enough not to let this slip through the cracks.;)
