I take no credit for making this guide, the credit goes to CoyAndChris of Xbox.com.

Please consider stickying this thread so you can easily access this information when needed. The following useful feature was relayed to some of us Ambassadors and now we pass it on to the general community as well. This information first appeared on Major Nelson's Podcast with special guest, Stepto, and the link for the podcast is supplied below if you'd like to listen to it yourself. While it appears that this is using the Zune website, I assure you that it works for Xbox Live and this feature is useful in a variety of situations and not just for offensive gamertags. -tu
*Currently this feature is available ONLY to regions where the Zune Software has been rolled out*
When you encounter someone online with an offensive gamertag, the following tool is the absolute best and fastest way to have action taken against their account.

The URL that you can use to Force Name Change someone is: http://social.zune.net/reportabuse.aspx (http://social.zune.net/reportabuse.aspx)

Go to that URL, type in the gamertag, select "Zune Tag - Offensive" (or any other appropriate one). That should cause the info to show up in a report that will be looked at within 28-48 hrs. They are working on improving the turnaround time, but right now the mininum amount of time is 28 hrs.

This was information that was given to the Ambassadors by the moderators of Xbox and has been edited slightly to remove the moderator's names (so they don't get flooded with PMs). If you have some questions on the use of this tool, please feel free to contact me and I will see what I can dig up for you. However, this thread really contains all the information you would require.

To listen to the complete Major Nelson podcast, please use the following link:

Cheers, and happy troll hunting.

I thought I recognised this from somewhere. ;)

This a good guide, not many people know that you can report Gamertags this way.
