This is rediculous, a game that has been being worked on for years and given so much hype by the media and even Microsoft could crash like this. You think Microsoft could have stepped in a did something. No, there is no excuse for this. Yes, it is a small group of programmers. Yes, they made a fun game. But obviously they didn't test, and if they did the testers were a bunch of Autistic 2 year old so the results are invalid to start. And I thought it would never happen, a game with worse host advantage that Gears of War. It's amazing, a game can cost this much and suck this hard. This multiplayer system is broken on so many levels. I can't get into a game to save my own ass. Then there is the magical loading screen of doom. Yes, a loading screen that just pops up at random times and freezes the game. Like i'll click "Custom Match" and brings up a loading screen and freezes the game. There is no loading screen when you click that button so why did it pop up? Because The Behemoth screwed us. Sell a busted ass game for the highest price a XBLA game can go for. BOGUS... Fuck you to The Behemoth...

I personally am having no problems. The only thing is the ridiculous connecting problems to ranked matches but other wise I can host games and people connect perfectly fine. I've only had a game lag out on my once but that was not even the games fault.

As for the testing it they said they have tested it but you can't really test how tons of people are going to affect the servers.

Plus this all can be fixed by a patch and some network fixings.

I give then about a week for it to be fixed.

True true but as long as they know about the problem (which they do) they will be trying to fix it ASAP.

I will cry, i'm gonna cry until Microsoft gives me back my 1200 points i lost on this game... You didn't really lose any points. The single player works and the multiplayer should be fixed within the next couple weeks or even sooner.

There is already a thread dedicated to this issue in the Castle Crashers forum. I'm not really the police,...I just wanted you to know so that you can check it out and see what's been said already. Bottom line...MS and the Behemoth are both to blame. Even if the game was tested out the wazoo, it's MS's fault because everything released on their console has to pass "certification" before it's released.

Maybe what that really means to us lay-people is that if a game approaches release, and its part of a highly touted release schedule...i.e. "Summer of Arcade"...and this release is STILL broken when it arrives at the "certification" process...they will simply release it upon us anyway knowing that they can take our money...POSSIBLY patch it later(the patch may not even help)...and then never really worry their little heads about it again because "THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR THIS ITEM".

If you think that's not an entirely plausible scenario...then you are WAAAAY too trusting of our "friends" at MS.

They tested this game over 1000 times. And, they can't know what will happen when 100,000 people start playing the game in the span of a week. The only way to find out is to get 100,000 people to play. Then, unexpected things happen.

Oh, and by the way, its not the Behemoths fault. Its Microsoft that says how many servers go into a game. So take it up with them that they overloaded.

I think you underestimate the intelligence of the people involved. We're talking about MS...the biggest most successful computer tech company on the face of the Earth. They hire the most intelligent tech workforce available...after that maybe the government gets whoever is left...maybe. That being said...you think they have no way of knowing, predicting...like this is their first project involving networking or something? Ummm...really? I can't believe the short-sightedness of some of the people who post on here. Look at all the facts. Look at the timing. Look at the release schedule. These are probably the same people who think Bush won the election fair and square back in 2000 because of crazy ballots IN HIS BROTHER'S STATE.

His father was in charge of counting the ballots. And yes, he won fair and square, he had less votes yes, but he won fair and square because of the way the whole electoral thing is set up in the states. And they have no way of predicting what will happen when thousands of people get online.

My friend said that Microsoft stated that the reason for loosing the data was because people had played CC on a different console than the one they bought it on, and because of some security code bull shit, their game got erased. I don't know if this is true, just thowing that out there.

Ya, that made no sense. Bush's dad was in charge of counting the ballots in Florida, which was the state that would decide if him, or Gore, won, because all of the other states had been counted, and it was a dead tie. (actually, you dont vote diretly for the prez, you vote for reps, who get the votes, and they use those votes to vote for prez.) Gore had more votes, but the way it was set up, Bush still won, because each state gets a certain number of votes depending on the population, plus two votes each. Its very cunfuzzing.

That make more sense maybe?

I understand the election process...but what you said went completely in line with my thought...and you acted like you got it right. You mean to tell me that you believe his dad was in charge of counting the votes...in a state where his brother was governor...and he actually didn't win...but he still won!?!?!?! All that...and you think there's nothing REALLY fishy about that...but that is how it was supposed to pan out all along because of some screwed up technology? Really?

So,...um, yeah...whatever about Bush...and your math

Castle Crashers is apparently a fun SP game,...but designed and marketed mainly as an MP game. It's half broken, probably gonna get patched, alot of people are pissed-rightfully so, aaaaaaaaaaand...to quote The Joker...'it's all part of the plan".

MS dropped the ball and when they bent over to pick it up they picked up all you guys' money by mistake...and that's too bad because "there are no refunds for this item".

As many people that are pissid, there are a ton more that love the game and are not having problems with it. I understand that accidents and mistakes happen, but this was neither. This was the inablilty to see into the future. Anyone that has problems with this game has the right to be mad, but they should also be undertstanding that this was not foreseen, and it will be fixed. The Behemoth cares to much about their fans, and they can't afford not to, they're and independant developer that just released their second game, and its not even a retail game.

That's an awfully, AWFULLY generous way of thinking and looking at this. Mr. Robbie Bach and The Behemoth would like to extend their gratitude.

Way to jack a vent thread guys...

My advice is to join friends. Screw random pug games. Only way to play is to get your friends together and play the game. I have had no problems inviting my friends into a lobby and getting us through the entire game in one sitting.

Quit b*tching at a team of 7 bringing one of the greatest games to hit the XBLA...crying about it honestly will not do anything and demanding your virtual points back will not happen because quite frankly the game is complete and works well for most. Try stopping the 700 gb of porn torrents and get into a game with people you know that actually want to play the game.

I have added probably 10-12 people that want to play this game multiplayer and we have completed the game 3 full times with each other. I have stopped entirely from trying to match up in "quick match" just start your own room. This game is peer to peer not server based. It will pick the best "host" from the lobby ala halo. It just needs a little tweaking and you should see the update roll out soon.

Quit being a baby and enjoy the game. Even better invite some real life friends to come over and play.

Hmm games also get tied to your Gamertag so there should be no problems. I've played Castle Crashers on 2 different consoles and had no problems.

AMEN Brother....I read the initial posting and was going to give my opinion but then the politics??? Come on guys...rude to jack someones thread. PM each other or find some other appropriate forum for this crap.

My 2 cents...I love the game...haven't done much multiplayer yet...one ranked match last night 1 vs 1 vs 1 in which although I was not the first guy to get knocked down I did get owned by the winner who was level 40 to my 69 which means I suck...but hey what are you going to do. I think this game was well worth the points but then I'm not being critical. I've not had any crashes at all, the game has done exactly what I expected from it single player wise...my only beef is even though I'm using 4 controllers I still can't get that Medic! achievement. But that is for another thread. Game on and have fun....and drop the politics...we're going to get an earful of it in the next 2-3 months.
