I normaly stream to my x360. The files that I know it can do are.. .wmv .avi .mpeg .mp3 .wav and as far as I know .mov doesn't work.. they are the only ones i've tried though.

For .avi it wont work at first when you try to play the file but then it will direct you to the xbox marketplace for a free divx patch download to make your x360 compatible with anything that requires a divx codec.

Are you guys using Windows Media Center? Because just connecting my computer and 360 through a router only allows me to play wmv files

through media center it only allows WMV. toss your files on a flash drive or portable hard drive and plug it in then it will play all kinds of formats.
