When can you make the Iris Knuckle?

After defeating a certain enemy, you will procure it in a story-related scene right after you get the game's 21st achievement "Followers of Ice"

KilluhKam you ROCK.
If anyone accepts my challenge this is what I will be doing.

I would strongly recommend that everyone do this and all side missions as soon as they are available (You'll know when you get there, don't worry). I went from 0 gamerscore to 775 only dying once, then got my ass HANDED to me in the ensuing moments a dozen or so times. I was level 48 when I finally able to fight my way to the next part of the game. These side missions give you a great opportunity to level up fairly quickly, and you pick up some great golems and weapons along the way.

BTW Legion, I absolutely love your signature plugin!

Yeah Legion's signature is great until your five year old sees it.

Now MollyWhopper (ohh to be single again, the fun and games you can play)... Anyway how could you go from a GamerScore of 0 to 775. You can't progress to that point in the game unless you've gotten the first 20 achievements.

TheMollywhopper
09-07-2006, 06:29 PM
The first 23 achievements gets you 775. The 24th is for 75, the 25th for 150.... Totalling 1000.

Wreckon Dracgon
09-07-2006, 06:34 PM
Ohh okay now I get what you were saying. You only died once while getting the first 23 achievements and then you got your ass whipped until you were at level 48 then you over came all obstacles and triumphed over evil.

Why did you just say it like that LOL.

Thanks for the info that's good to know, I'm at like level 45 or so now, so I'll start doing the Casino trick and get up my direct and ranged attacks up a lot before continuing on.

TheMollywhopper
09-07-2006, 06:38 PM
My fault.. I have a tendency to say things the wrong way! Yeah, during the first 90-some-odd-percent of the game I was breezing through. After fighting the boss that gives you the 23rd achievement, you get a chance ot save before progressing. After realizing that I was useless against the ensuing bosses I went back and finished the story missions. I was lvl 44 the first time, then went back after cleaning up the side quests and had a lot more success.

TheMollywhopper
09-07-2006, 06:41 PM
Wait.... You're level 45 halfway through the game?? You'll be just fine by the time you reach the boss so long as you don't do what I did and start using the Encounter Evade all the time as soon as you get it.

Thanks man!

Anyways, my characters are only like level 35-40 but they are extremely powerful because I spent a lot of time yesterday doing the casino trick to make a shitload of money.

If you guys want a guide on how the casino glitch works, let me know and I'll write one a little bit later.

Let me ask you this, when you were in the cave going to the resistance hideout there is a warp gate to the water temple. Have you been able to beat that damn turtle. I've come so close, so many times. I learned about the Casino trick to build up SP by buying it and plan to do a lot of it today/tomorrow to increase my stats. Then I plan on bringing the pain to that damn turtle.

Edit: Yes I'm at level 45 because I've spent about 12 hours fighting every damn thing in the world. I figured this was the easiest way to power up until I learned about the Casino trick from Legion. I finally beat the Fire Devil Golem a couple days ago and I'm now back at a point where I can do the Casino trick. So I plan on doing it as soon as I can to build up my other characters. As of now only Atsuma, Darth Malak, Raiger, the Belly Dancer Chick are worth playing on my squad because they are the only ones I've been using trying to build them up to assist me in the defeat of the evil Turtle.

Damn I love this game.

I wish I knew of this casino trick earlier! It makes sense, I just never though to do it?! You should definately fill in those who haven't already had to do it the hard way:(

I'm not certain, but I believe you have to kill the pillar guardians and use the orbs they drop to make all of your Iris weapons before you're able to finish off the bosses in the temples.

L3giOn

What is this turtle creature you speak of? I must have skipped it while doing only the main quest...

TheMollywhopper

After getting the 21st achievement, you'll get an Orb, which in a story-cutscene someone transforms into a weapon for you. With this weapon equipped the Pillar Guardins will challenge you to a fight. Each one you defeat drops anothe of these orbs that you can take to the same person who made Atsuma's weapon, and they will make weapons of equal calibur for the rest of your characters. After this you can go fight (or maybe before) the bosses of the the Elemental Temples. The 4 shrines are in the following locations:

Fire: Londinus Plains North Forest
Water: Nordnia Mines Abandoned Mine (this is where the Divine Turtle is at)
Wind: Yamashiro Marsh Forst
Earth: Vorbois Volcano Wind Tunnel.

When you go to the corresponding maps you can hit the start button to bring up your map and see the locations of these teleporters that take you to the Temples.

Once you have defeated All four of the bosses in the temples, you acquire the necessary items to unlock the final side dungeon, The Holy Beast Shrine (Located outside of Junk City in the Rock Pinnacles (run up the path on the right side of the mansion in town). This is one of the biggest, most convoluted dungeons I've ever seen, but it houses over a dozen Golems. 4 of which drop the orb needed to create your party's most powerful weapons, and the dungeon boss give you MAD TB, EX and SP (make sure you drain all of your money and SP before you fight him or they will max out at 9999 and you'll lose the spillover).

L3giOn
09-07-2006, 07:13 PM
Wow that's awesome! I've seen these dungeons but always passed them up. I wondered what they were! I'll definitely be doing these side quests as soon as the opportunity presenrs itself. I just haven't been playing Enchanted Arms lately because Season 2 of Lost came out on DVD and I'm addicted. Hopefully I finish the season today so I can get back to playing.

When you are about to go to the Resistance Hideout and you enter those caves and are traveling on the railcar. The last one you take before you hit the switch the really long one. If you look to your left as you ride along it you'll see the glowing blue warp gate below. After you get to the end of the ride just run back and you'll be able to access it. It will tell you "Very Challenging Enemies Await" or something like that. As I've said before I have Darth Malak with over a 1,000 HP and the Turtle takes him out in one blow.

DAMN YOU EVIL TURTLE.

There is a similar Warp Gate to the Fire Temple. You pass it in the woods on your way back to Yokohama City. When it said "Challenging Enemies Await" I was to scared to enter so I ran like a little girl, so I don't know what's down there... Does anyone know. Since there's a turtle in the water temple I'm sure it's something fire related. But when I saw the Water Temple and it said "Challenging Enemies Await", I said hell I'm strong now... boy was I wrong.

:TURTLE TACTIC/FIRE GOLEM TACTIC:Use Atsuma, Karin, Ruby Butterfly and Raigar.. have Raigrar use his +75 armor skill to all *might need to fight to ge the stuff to use it* and than just hammer him down.. I was like lv 45/46 when I beat him, and I set it on auto lol

:TIP:
And fast ways to level is get doubble exp and camp the shit outa a shrine... I went from 44 to 51 in less than an hr..

Where is the black dragon at again... Ive searched the fork and I cant find him

TheMollywhopper
09-08-2006, 07:58 AM
The Black Dragon is at the Ragau Coast Fork. When you get to the creekbed, keep running down it (not crossing the creek) as far as you can. You'll walk under a bridge, past a statue, and you'll see him hidden away on the side of the rock wall.
As for the shrines:

Fire Shrine = Phoenicia
Water Shrine = Divine Turtle
Wind Shrine = Aero Dragon
Earth Shrine = White Tiger

What I always did was try to take a good healer who was not the opposite element of the boss, Atsuma, Raigar, and Yuki. If you pick up Yuki's Sniper Shot ability she's the best character in the game against bosses, as she'll knock 1/3-1/2 most enemies damage off with one shot.

I used Divine Tiara to start out, used Yuki's sniper shot as fast as it came back, comboed with Atsuma/Raigar and healed with Floresia. The sniper shot is key as it drains the hell out of his HP the first 5 or so times you use it on him.

Yuki's Sniper Shot is awesome against all bosses but the big ones like devil golums. I am going to find the dragon, I already defeated the other 2. I will problably do each shrine then. It is not really hard with Yuki in my party. :woop:
