Saratoga, CA

It is next to San Jose, CA which is the 9th biggest city in the US and only 45 minutes away from San Francisco, CA which is around the 16th or so largest US city.

As for Saratoga, it is one of the richest and wealthiest cities in the US. Average costs per house is well over 500,000, if not close to 1M.

Google it and i will get some more exact stats when i get back from my class.

I'll never tell. :p I'm sure this topic has been raised before (surely it must have somewhere here?), so I'd create one a bit more creative let's say? Something like a poll perhaps on what country you represent (ie. UK/US/Canada/AU/NZ). Other countries wouldn't matter in the poll. ;)

Yeah, I like the poll Idea more, since what more can i say about los angeles that people dont already know?

Yeah you should make a poll like other people said. Then we could see how many people are from what countries a lot easier then having to read through every post :)

I am from (and live in) Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The main reason it's special is it's the capital of Canada, so there are a lot of government buildings, museums and other cool places.

Well, a few months ago I was living smack dab in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Now I've moved to the middle of Washington State, what a change...

Also, isn't there already a poll thing on the countries you represent or something along those lines?

Edit: The country you hail from is on the Off-Topic forum...don't know why I decided to edit this though...

I was born and have lived here most my life. For all those who may not know, Wichita is the largest city in Kansas (not the capital, that's Topeka for some reason) and Kansas is right smack in the middle of the U.S., in the Great Plains where it's flat and freaking boring as hell.

Advice for foreigners wishing to come visit the U.S. - Even though you may have heard of Kansas in The Wizard of Oz ... don't visit Kansas, it sucks.

Hopefully sometime in the not too distant future I can move to one of the places I've always wanted to go:
-England
-Japan
-Vancouver (BC, Canada)
-Virginia Beach
-Hawai'i
-Rio de Janeiro

Obviously a couple of those are a little to expensive but I got my dreams.

A couple cool things history-wise about Wichita:
-The current U.S. Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates was born here in Wichita, and in fact graduated from the same high school I did. Wichita High School East.
-Pizza Hut was founded in Wichita and the first Pizza Hut is about two miles West of where I live.
-The Cessna aircraft company was also founded in Wichita.

Limavady, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, Europe, The World, The Solar system, Third Rock from the Sun, The Milky Way, The Universe.

My town was where the song 'Danny Boy' was created, so we've got a real claim to fame on the international stage for such a small shit-hole lol. I joke though, it's a really nice place to live even if like 20% of the people who live here are all scum with massive attitude problems.

As my location states, I'm in the sugar bowl rapi......(Ahem).

No no in all serious-ness, I live in Wolverhampton, in the West Midlands, in the UK.

The city doesn't really have any interesting claim to fame other than that a tramp used to live on the inner city ring-road, but he died reccently so we're pretty much back to square one tourist attraction-wise (not making this up, it was the BANNER headline THE local newspaper). Other than that it's pretty much grey in-land England.

OH OH I forgot, we had the UK's first automatic traffic light, eh? Got your attention now....

I am from Clacton-On-Sea, Essex, England, Great Britain!!!

Its a mouthful, but it sure is one heck of a chav infested place. Nicknamed London-On-Sea thanks to the 60s, where lots of Londoners moved down and infested the place with their children, who were all having children at 15. The amusements used to be a fun place until they all realised they could afford a mcdonalds by abusing the 1p machines.

We have two claims to fame as far as my opinion stretches. It was once home to Sade, a singer who is/was very popular in America as I am lead to understand. She was in my dad's maths class in high school, which is pretty cool.

We also played host to a quite famous mods vs rockers fight, of which there is now a reunion every year where many people bring their mopeds and motorbikes to show off along the seafront.

We also are home to a quite famous air show, but then again lots of seaside towns get air shows, so nothing that special :p

Born in Plymouth, England. The place where Francis Drake was playing bowls and finished his game before kicking the Spanishes ass'. Currently a large naval base with the sole purpose of keeping the French and the Cornish out of England. Has the best Gin distillery in the world.

Also where the Pilgrim Brothers set sail from the Mayflower Rock to form the colony known as the USA.

Now living in Houston, which seems to be designed with the sole purpose of being hit by hurricanes and having problems. Oh, and George Bush Snr lives here.
