So Far in the last 3 Days when I've been to the site, my AV has found 4 trojans from your ads. So either find a different ad company or get rid of them. This has never happened before up until the last week-2 weeks. I have the most updated version of Kaspersky and I had just scanned my comp for viruses before coming on here. So it's definitly the site, not my computer. If it wouldn't have removed them I would have been pissed.

Sorry if it sounds like a flame thread but I'm letting you know because if I keep getting them Im going to stop coming here.

Wrong..
You have no solid proof of that.. and all the other thousands of people that visit this site haven't had any problems..

Another thing, this has happened using IE 7, so im testing firefox since it lowers the chance of internet viruses even though i had this browser

You've got something on your system your scans aren't finding. There is nothing embedded in our ads.

Some of them no, some of them im weary about. The ones I'm weary about are ones such as those that just randomly slide across your screen, for wacky stupid stuff that no one gives 2 rats a**es for, thoses are the 1s im weary about as that was the 2 times it said it found a viruses trying to enter my computer was when those stupid 1s slide across your screen. Believe me, I love this site, I would no way say this stuff on purpose, just letting you guys know whats happeneing as this is the only site that has happened on.

If you have things sliding across your screen sounds like you need an ad blocker and a better anti virus than kaspersky.
Nod32 or Eset smart security would be a good option with possibly Prevx firewall and also the use of spybot sd and a registry cleaner of some sort.

I would not blame the site for your short comings on logical solutions to your pc issues.

lol there are none that come sliding along the page on this site ;o (well there isn't for us Europeans - We have different ad's to the americans) looks like you have problems with your computer that are completly irrelivent to this site.

People from all over the world use this site without any trojans whatsoever, using multiple browsers/security programs. Just because you have issues with trojans doesn't mean that it's the site. In fact, it's highly unlikely. SUrely we would have thousands of threads from the 100,000 forum members we have??

It's nothing to do with the site.

I've never picked anything up from here and neither has any other member so you can't go around blaming this site.

Sorry guys, but when I came to the site this morning I got an alert from AVG IMMEDIATELY as the site was loding regarding an infected file coming in that was being blocked.

THIS .....IS ......GETTING ......REDICULOUS!!!

Haven't you read any posts? There is nothing wrong with this site, otherwise everyone would be complaining.

So I guess its just coincidence that this happened to him and now me??? It's a particular ad that's tripping this message and since the ads cycle it won't happen each time. It has happened to me more than once while coming here. Twice on my personal comp at home and once from work. Each time it has happened I do a full scan and everything checks out ok.

BUT I DO BELIEVE IT IS RELATED TO SOME QUESTIONABLE ADS BEING USED.

I think thats the para complex your suffering from.
What happens is i say i got a virus from microsfot then other people call me an idiot then lo and behold someone get a virus also may not be related however as i have previously said it was microsoft (only example) that person automatically assumes ( you should never assume btw) that they got it through the same place.

Fact if there are ads sliding over the screen your pc HAS been infected previosly.
Fact unless you take the neccesary security measures to prevent this then the next solution is to look for answers on how to remove it, and the bigger question how has this been allowed onto your system.

Numerous measures to protect your pc in this day and age i would have thought near everyone has an ad blocker firefiox even has a built in one.
you should regularly be running checks on the system for spyware with something as simple as spybot sd (free download) and your antivirus as well as say windows defender and a registry cleaner.

All is fine and well however if you are already infected the best way to go about removing things like this is to run all of the above in safe mode.

The biggest cause of infections in the world is illgeal downloading from such daft places such as torrents or p2p also if you do go about downloading something and you install a crack it is more than possible that this is infact 1 infected or 2 not digitally signed by microsoft therefore all protection picks it up as malicious.

This post is not to flame anyone or have a pop at anyone or promote or slate any software companies or anything other likewise.

I hope that i can help in some way as this was more what i was trying to do.

Onimod, there are ads in the US package that slide across the screen, so that has nothing to do with this. However, the trojans I can 100% guarantee are not coming from our site or any of our ads.

More than likely, it isn't even a trojan, they just think it is because their program is set to display as such.

Usually, you will see generic or behavioral detections labeled as trojans. They may read something like TROJ-GEN or something similar giving the appearance it's some sort of "Trojan" or "Virus" when in reality it's just a bit of Active X scripting or something like that which doesn't agree with the AV.

I haven't had any problems, and very highly doubt that the ads are doing anything they shouldn't be; but if it would comfort the OP and any others that might be worried:

First find out if and where your AV program stores it's log files or report feature. Find out what is being detected specifically and go type it into google. That will tell you exactly what is being detected, and I can almost guarantee that it's something dealing with a heuristic or behavioral detection.

From there, you can either disable that extra protection that is detecting it, or just get used it.

Thanx for the heads up on that fact was unaware of that one.
However im pretty sure that the use of a ad blocker even the one built into firefox would stop that from happening ?

I am going to stop coming here also. My computer isnt infected with trojans but everytime I click somewhere on this site, the next pages of ads with scripts just freezes. Sad. Plus every thread you read has some little girl flaming some other little girl about not searching before posting and its annoying. Who cares how many posts you have and who cares if you didnt search for a thread before posting. I'm sure theres more mature forums with less pre-teen idiots and flamers. Prolly why users will never see the gamercards come back up due to "the cost of the site." I would never pay money for garbage.

I have also been getting trojans, I am not saying they are coming from this site( but they might be). I also have a problem with these ads that play across my screen and I can't close them. I am just saying, that this site was better when there were no ads.

If your going to stop then just stop, telling people that your stopping just seems a bit redundant.

As for the 'little girls' comment, I personally find the forums here to be much more mature and sensible than many others out there. (Besides the "1st" and "don't type 1st! Infraction!" comments of course ;))

The search function is a must have and must use on any forum. Posting the same threads over and over because you are too lazy to take 30seconds to search for your answer is disgracefull. It wastes space on the servers, it wastes peoples time in answering again and it bumps more relevent threads out of the public eye. While I don't agree with posting telling someone to search, the loss of someone who sees it as no problem, isn't really a loss at all.

Back on topic:

I've never had a problem with the adds on this site and can only suggest a thorough check of your AV logs to pinpoint the problem and finding a solution that will allow you to continue using the site without the AV alerts.

Simple solution... stop looking at porn and blaming it on harmless sites.

You should get some better AV protection as well. I've used Avast, Kaspersky and Norton. Norton sucks... anybody with Norton should simply delete it. It's not doing any good.

Kaspersky is okay.

But I honestly think Avast is the best. If you get a virus... you'll know it.

You should probably get some sort of adware/malware protection. Ad-Aware is a good one for finding spyware that's already on your PC.

Other than that... stop blaming x360a! I have two computers here that access the site and I've had no problems. same with my sister's two computers. And they both use Avast and Ad-Aware. x360a is NOT your problem.

Fine the secret is out. We are systematicly taking over all computers in the world and making so no matter what anyone types in, it always comes out looking like "some little girl flaming some other little girl about not searching." But have no fear we have discontinued this process so any "little girl flaming some other little girl about not searching" from this moment on will actually be a "little girl flaming some other little girl about not searching". We are sorry for any problems this may have caused.
