Ok guys for a little help here are some tips so u don't mess up your character and have to start over:
In Vault 101 get the 2 bobbleheads one from you'r fathers desk when you are 16 years old.
Second before leaving the vault, go back from the room where the 2 gaurds come from head left and another bobblehead!

Start off with at least 4 intelligence (you can get a +3 per level stat increase on level 4 this way)
Start off with 10 agility (V.A.T.S is what matters) it will help get you trough

When your 16 take the G.O.A.T then go to the overseer and tell him its nonesence, this way you can set up you'r character anyway you like!
If you'r going to be good, disarm the bomb in Megatown, this is very rewarding from start up, dont do it for free ask 500 caps or 100 caps (depending on speech) because you will get the good bonus anyway.
If you'r going to be bad, don't destroy the town right away do the Quests you can first and then destroy it
Hope this helps a bit for starting you guys off. If i find any more not to spoiling start offs, i will tell you.

Well, considering the game isn't released for another 2 weeks... I don't think this will help too many people here right now.

Nice tips though. I'll be sure to remember the bobblehead stuff.

Ok, I have looked everywhere and I am not buying "Where the 2 guys came from, go left" this is not enough info so I am calling bullshit on this one for now unless you can prove it with some real details and or screenshots...

I didn't kill the overseer. So if I tune the radio to some frequency it has the password.

Trouble on the Homefront - seems to depend on going back in

Wow i can't believe that there are people who are playing this game, when the release is not until the 28th here in the US. i'll remember the tips, and the bobble heads, but come on, don't talk about the game yet!

Well the acheivement guide has good stuff in it. Make sure to get your Speech, Science, Sneak, and Lockpick really high, and eventually to 100. As for the rest, slowly progress those up. Once you get the Mister Sandman perk, just do the glitch where you choose to "Murder" a kid while he's sleeping (best place is Andale, check the map for the location). If you need details on how to do it exactly, just PM me. As for combat, just use V.A.T.S. like crazy and try to get the best perks there are. Always save before attempting a Hard or Very Hard terminal or lock. That's about it. Good Luck!

I'm currently almost through with the game, I have about 8 quests left. They're pretty easy, once again if you ever need help just PM me or add me on XBL if you need help fast, I'm on most of the time. GT = Nevander

As far as the Bobbleheads go, there is only one in Vault 101--not two as posted earlier. If you do escape the Vault without getting it, you do get the chance to return once during the game to complete a side quest.

There is one more that can be a problem, though. The game will take you to Ravenrock. Do not leave without getting the bobblehead there--you cannot return once you leave (the reason why will become obvious during the game.)

The other 18 can be found at your leisure anytime during the game (and you do have to find all 20 during the same playthrough to get the achievement.)

Where exactly is Ravenrock? Do you come across it in the main campaign or is it in a side quest?

Can you go back into vault 101?

Yes. During your normal gameplay, just keep an eye on your Pipboy radio stations every so often. At a certain point in the game you will be able to pick up a distress call transmission. Listen to it and take the appropriate action.

Hi all,

Well, I've just brought Fallout 3 (I can't actually play it until Sunday evening when I get my setup repaired, which I discovered to my disgust had gone bust once I got home and tried to start this game up), and before I begin, I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for things I should and shouldn't know. Any interesting places I should visit, enemies Ishould be weary of, things like that...

I'm planning to play through it doing whatever the hell I want first time round to enjoy the story - and yes, that will include replacing a few coin-purses with grenades - but after that I'll go for the different karma achievements.

So, any advice?
Chris.

EDIT: This got moved here from my other thread. The same things apply, but I'll remember the bobble-heads. :)

I started my game differently. I started with 9 INT, the more INT you have the more skill points you can distribute and you can make up the extra agi, if you find the other bobblehead and wear the Reilly's Combat Armor and Lebou's(forgot how it's called) Hockey Mask. Also, you shouldn't put 10 of anyting right off the bat since you could always get +1 more getting a bobblehead, and 10 is the max, with or without a bobblehead or clothes.

ok, first of all, having only 4 intelligence is the dumbest thing to do on this game because you'll miss out on like 100 skill points added up throughout the game, second, you shouldn't max out any special stats at the beginning because of the bobbleheads, third, there's only one bobblehead in the vault, and fourth, you can just talk to the teacher to change your goat score instead of running everywhere looking for the overseer.

Why does this guide claim there are two bobbleheads in Vault 101? The official guides all say there is only one.

Who knows, could be an honest mistake that the person made or it could be other factors.
