oh and yes the dog tag achievement requires you to hold up all soldiers on every difficulty. the game has an in game dog tag list along with the area the soldier is in so you know where to look which is why i never used a guide for dog tags.

i dont know of any video guides apart from when i looked on youtube to find the kerotan frogs on mgs3.

you dont need to play on european extreme thankfully but you do need to play extreme which is stil a very hard difficulty. it can be made easier tho as dog tags reward you with items such as infinte bandana and stealth etc stealth makes extreme a lot easier to get around and hold people up but boss fights can still be a challenge.

there are a lot of vr missions to do which just get harder and harder. tons of variety but its hard to explain you will see for yourself.

i would not recommend you start on hardest difficulty, maybe normal-hard but dont jump straight on extreme.

also mgs3 has an achievement for not killing anyone but it also has an achievement for killing someone so make sure when playing through you do one or the other. or just get the cqc throat slit and which ever other kill achievements at the start then just restart the game.

mgs2 has a break the neck of 30 enemies which i personally found annoying because i try to kill no one or as few as possible in my playthroughs lol

thanks man. have you played mgs2 and 3 before? i had already smashed the games way back on ps2/xbox so it all felt straight forward to me. the achievement list isnt too bad, quite fun to be honest. there are 2 achievements that can be a pain tho. virtually impossible for beating all vr missions is the hardest achievement and then great dane for getting all the dog tags. when playing mgs2 try to get every dog tag on that difficulty. if you miss one you will have to replay that difficulty and you dont really want to replay the hardest difficulty because you missed 1 dog tag.
rest of the achievements aint too bad. there is probly a road map on here to help with the other misc easter egg and collectible achievements.

most of all have fun. 2 great games there. good luck and enjoy

From what I recall, collectibles are located both in The City and within various Chapters as well. You need to revisit a Chapter's starting point (blue orb) in The City to replay it. Navigating The City for such things is a pain though. Secret Areas…I forget if they were City exclusive or Chapter AND City like the collectibles. Brest use Pyx's video for secret areas but take note that some collectibles in Maka's videos are also secret areas. There's no way to follow both videos at once since they don't match up, so whichever you decide to do first, just know you'll be backtracking a lot and spending a lot of time revisiting the same locations(s) probably due to the annoyance that are the secret areas. I remember them being such a nightmare. PowerPyx deserves so much credit for finding them all and recording them. I have no fucking clue how he did it.

Ah, well then maybe it did make sense. Who knows

I don't know. It's not a HORRIBLE game, it's just not good and nothing compared to the older ones. The mission inside the asylum was freakin' perfect and generally, the gameplay and set pieces were nice (like the inside of the manor and whatnot). Like mentioned, my only complaints were the loading times (worst loading times on Xbox One out of every game), the story (too short and tried doing too many things), and the City (bad map and overall design). While The City was bad, the actual mission settings were really good.

And Erin didn't die at the end (I saw your post in the other thread). Notice she left behind the hook and there's wet footprints near Garret when he wakes up. She lived

I'm still on the fence about DS2. Part of me wants to play it, but another part of me doesn't for some reason. I can't put my finger on it, but there's something holding me back and it isn't achievements or anything... :/

No idea when for either. Probably not for a while.

[Read other message first, damn character limits XD]

I am doing okay, just trying to hang in there. This semester has been rough with taking a lot of courses again on top of getting my thesis proposal approved; I'm planning on translating a novel for that. I'm also going to be leaving the states and going back to Canada for a few months on a working holiday as long as the government doesn't suddenly deny my visa, although that's the last thing I need, and I got this far, so not sure why it would get denied lol. I'm really excited to go!
