I know they masked loading times, but there comes a point when it just becomes ridiculous. How convinient that the loading finished right when the long ass cutscene ends? I like watching some of them, but they become so repetitive.
Oh well. I'll set that aside for the weekend or during the summer since I'm done with it next thursday. Oh well, I'll stock up on painkillers (just for those fucking cutscenes to take them away for no reason).
And yeah the gold guns carry over. That's useful because those guns are actually pretty powerful.
I'm so scared for chapter 11 (panama), chapter 13 (police station), and chapter 14 (shootout in the baggage room and the shootout with Becker specifically). Chapter 7 as well because that is such a long chapter. I'll just practice not dying on the regular NYM (I can get up to chapter 11 without dying I'm sure).
I might do that but I wouldn't mind going through the game again. I really enjoyed the experience despite its annoyances (mainly the lack of an ability to skip cutscenes. I can understand forcing them the first time, but on subsequent playthroughs you should be able to skip them). Plus, it's progress for grinds and it trains me for what's to come on NYM.
Difficulty is confirmed to be medium. I searched everywhere and people are saying that the difficulty is not the hard part but rather the act of doing it in one sitting without dying against the clock. What I'm worried about is the glitches. I had a glitch on chapter 7 (longest one, lol) where the RPG at the end didn't spawn no matter what, so I'm gonna lose my mind if that happens there.
That reminds me, do the gold guns carry over to those modes as well? I don't suppose you remember, but those would help a lot.
But no one has finished the course yet. And just by judging the qualifying course it's going to be harder. I'm still rooting for Arnold to win. Wouldn't it be some shit if several people won this year? Some of these people train all year round. Someone's gotta win eventually. Makes me want to go outside and start swinging from the trees.
The second part outside (after turning off the valve) on the panama chapter was hard for me, because you basically have to memorize where they'll come out of. The police hq was hard for me too, since every enemy takes two hits to kill from a headshot. I was able to find the flak jacket but I kept dying from the boss at the end. I shootdodged him in the fucking head though, so watching him die was awesome.
Hopefully. I thought it was hardcore difficulty, and I just wondered how that was even possible. Today I'm gonna replay all the chapters on easy for clues, gold gun parts (for the achievement and for actual use), and misc achievements before doing hardcore or the other playthroughs. I'm saving hardcore for last, just so I'm trained for the worst, but experiencing normal.
