I'm glad I went with Cerys too, I agree I liked her a lot. I've noticed there are a lot of redheads in Skellige! She was one of the first ones I noticed, but now I see them quite often. Skellige is unique in so many ways, I just love it here. If I were Geralt, I would buy a vacation home here lol.
Oh man, I'm loving Skellige! It definitely reminds me of Skyrim and I just love the scenery in it. I'm really enjoying exploring the islands. I will let you know when I hit Yen's Last Wish quest! Right now my main story is Missing Persons and I have another main story quest called Nameless that recently popped up too. But I've been focusing more on the side quests and Contracts lately, and I'm finally leveled up enough to go searching for the Feline gear, so I'm going to look into that soon too. It's like once I hit level 20-22, I had at least 15 quests become available for me to do from my quest backlog lol. Not to mention all of the quests I am still finding along my travels... So I keep getting distracted from the main story! I'll get back to it soon though.
And when you get there, it was so tense because he's standing with his back to you, and says something like, "You have no idea what you're dealing with. If you did, you would have drawn your Silver sword." And then I was like - "Ohhhhh, crap!! What is he?!?!" I was thinking some kind of monster! Then he starts morphing into a huge vampire beast. Turns out he was a High Vampire, hence why he could walk during the day and look human. It was great, and I'm sorry to hear you missed that part at the end! Oh well, the mortuary business will remain busy in Novigrad at least lol.
Yes, Carnal Sins, that was it! Oh my gosh, I didn't know you could kill the Overseer (Reverend Nathaniel I think) beforehand! It's amazing how two people can have such different experiences with the game, wow!! The guy doing the autopsies, Hubert Rejk, seemed so nice and helpful and told me he found a note on a body saying Sweet Nettie was next, so you run there and find Rev. Nathaniel there burning Nettie with hot pokers (he was mean and a bit of a freak, too!) against her will since she was tied up and crying, but after investigating and talking to them, you realize it was a set up and you were sent there to think it was him - was this where you killed him? Well after that I realized it must be Hubert, since he was the one to send me there. Nathaniel said to go find him at the docks, where he was picking up an order of Formaldehyde for the mortuary (then I knew for sure).
What a good top 5 list of Xbox One games so far! I agree 500million% (), The Witcher 3 is #1 and there is a great distance between that and the second spot, lol! You know, I still have Wolfenstein TOB and haven't played it yet, but TNO was sooooo good and I honestly can't decide right now between that or Metro Redux as my #2. I'm thinking right now, that Metro Redux is #2, but that could just be because I played that more recently so it's fresher in my head! I can't wait to see DA: Inquisition for myself either, it might wind up in my Top 5 too! At the end of the year, we should do a personal Top 5 Xbox One Games list in our blogs!
I'm really happy to hear that the story picked up in Batman AK and made the game much better. I was thinking about what you said the other day with the controller scheme in Batman while I was playing The Witcher, and I realized something similar too. When you're running fast down a path or something, and you have to hold the A button down to sprint... it kind of stinks because you are almost never running in a straight line, but rather going left to right and winding around trees or buildings. And every time you have to weave around, you have to keep letting go of the A button to use that right thumbstick to move. I wish you could change that too. Although it does sound worse in Batman with what you described. I wish they gave you the option to change that stuff. :/ And eek! 315 collectibles! Yeah I remember doing the 200 in Asylum, so that's pretty bad. So much scavenger hunting in games nowadays!
I also want more Witcher from CD more than anything right now, but I'm keeping my eye on that Cyberpunk 2077 game! I did see that trailer, and although you don't get too much information on the game from it, it looks interesting. The main intrigue for me is simply that it's coming from CD, because honestly after playing The Witcher, anything else from CD is gonna be on my radar. I'll most likely get that game when it comes out too!
I'll definitely wait until I have 2-3 days off of work in a row when I start the last bit of main story quests! I don't want to have to quit and leave it sitting for a while once I start it. Right now I'm just having a blast doing more Contracts and side quests that I pick up, not to mention that there's tons of Gwent players in Skellige too, so I'm still wandering into all sorts of stuff. I had tons of quests/Contracts/Treasure Hunts sitting in my Quest log but I had to wait because they were such a higher level requirement than what I was. But now I'm level 23 and moving along quite nicely, so it's opened up tons of things to do. Now I feel like I'm playing catch-up, doing quests/Contracts that I got 1-2 weeks ago lol!
I'll definitely hold off on that headshot achievement until I'm a bit further along and have the Feline bow. Honestly I hate to waste a whole night of playing just for that one achievement, since it takes so many hours. I might also grab a potion of clearance, make a save, and use it to put all my points into the Crossbow that I can just to make it quicker. Did you get their health down first with your sword or Igni or something like that, and then just use the crossbow to deliver the final blow? I was thinking I would probably do something like that, if that works.
Yeah let me know if you watch that video of the Writers talking about the game, it was pretty cool! I tried to link it in my last message, but let me know if the link doesn't work and I'll look the video up again if you'd like.
Hi, Bigg! Sorry I'm just now writing back, I was super busy the last few days but I'm home relaxing tonight and about to play some more Witcher after I write you, yay! I'm so bad, I admit I had Geralt mess with 2 of the prostitutes just because I thought it was funny lol! When they were done with him, he seems lingers around to either sleep or snuggle, I don't know which, but the girl just kicks him out, ha ha! She'll stand up and cross her arms over her chest with a mad look on her face, and then point at the door. Then Geralt will shake his head and slowly walk out... it's hilarious! But yeah, I think a majority of those scenes are all the same, just a different face ha ha. That's really funny they did it like that in the Lighthouse though, I bet all of the Northern Realms was watching that lol!
