I've only do Skype calls with one of my friends and he was telling me about the weird ads; apparently they like to move around. XD I guess you will just have to deal with the bad layout and the huge smiley faces then if you have to update it. lol
Don't let it trick you into updating it! Stay with the old Skype as long as you can! XD It does all of this weird stuff like make the smileys huge sometimes, layout looks ugly, and some of my friends with a PC were complaining about notification issues and strange advertisements in the middle of Skype calls. O_o
I still need to update a lot of the entries on my Backloggery; at least I have all of the games listed at this point lol out of curiosity, did you get that weird awful Skype update too? IT seems like everyone has been getting it, and it has been awful! D:
That definitely sounds a lot easier than taking a lot of stuff at once; I wish I only had a couple things to focus on instead of several things at once! Trying to focus on two languages at once is quite tricky x.x
I am having fun, but at the same time this semester has been hell from having so many classes (I wish I could take 3-4 like a normal person instead of being forced to get credit overrides each semester and having to take 5-6 classes all the time), and having the Japanese and 3 of the French ones all in a row too, which got really confusing for me. x.x
Ahhh I see. I haven't had any online courses, but apparently I need to take one in the winter for beginning my thesis. :/ I have 5 finals this week, which really sucks. I got three down so far (French Lit and Symbolic Logic were rather easy, but Translation from English into French makes me want to go cry in a corner; I butchered that exam so bad >_>), and then I have Japanese Grammar and French Composition tomorrow; thank goodness one of my classes had the final before this week or else I would have had 6 of them! :/
I still have a bit to go. I'm currently a junior even though I only just started my second year. For my French major, I still need to take a couple Literature courses for the degree, and then for Japanese, I still have quite a few classes that I need to take.
