It was just BS. I wasn't great at H3 but when I had a good match, I was still slummed back like 40% due to my teams weaksauce. I dealt with it though but that's also b/c I was on a few MPs - COD4, Gears and L4D. However now, Reach seems to be eating up ALL my MP capabilities. I'll rock a little Dead Space 2 or Assassins Brotherhood from time to time but it's hard to not throw back in Reach and bust out some challenges or assassinations.

Fair point. Mainly with being paired with randoms costing you xp. I know exactly what you mean. Having that persistent XP is always great in that respect, knowing you can play matchmaking alone and still get something out of it, win or lose. There was just something about that 1xp system that made me hate it and love it at the same time. Especially with a dedicated team.

I don't know what it was in Reach but firefight didn't feel the same to me, there was a certain atmopsphere in ODST that I enjoyed which I didn't feel was quite there in Reach. I know they turned it up a few notches but I didn't ever really get the urge to play FF in Reach.

I do like the equality thing that Halo has always had going. With unlocks being cosmetic only and what-not. I'd love to get back into Halo one day, it would have to be Reach, the price is getting pretty respectable these days I must say.

Part 3 haha - And to be honest, I was mainly into Reach for the Campaign to start. I knew it was going to be epic in my standards and I loved what a downer it was. It made the sense that Master Chief would eventually be that shimmering ray of hope in your sacrifice. I loved it. I must've played/watched the first 2 chaps (Noble Actual and Winter Contingency) well over 50 times already. Firefight is certainly growing on me for challenges which are another thing I've taken to.

Reach ranks you up and offers cosmetic changes/enhancements but it's still practicall equal. As I said, it wasn't very intense and exciting when I was busting MY ass to work for that measly 1 xp while my team was busy teabagging their 1 or 2 kills and adding about 15 to their deaths. That's just me though. Now, I team up with my boys and we dominate a good 3/5 games if not more b/c we each take a different approach instead of just gunning for the Rocket Launchers and whatnot.

Focusing on the MP - I'm a strategist in most senses especially when it comes to Reach. Before so, I was a Run & Gunner. Mostly not caring about my K/D's, Wins, etc b/c IMO, the XP in Halo 3 was atrocious. I felt that even when I did well, I had to suffer the loss of 1 or 2 frickin' XP points b/c my "team" was a bunch of shitloops. It was extremely unbalanced and everyone got to take advantage of too many things. I've said it before, Reach offered me strategic counters with every ability. Granted, I'm a silent assassin now and loving every kill and move I make. I was trying to complete this weeks challenge of 50 wins and was 10 short b/c I kept getting paired up with Melvins and Ricks. However, I got some XP out of it and let's face it - I HATE games that offer "better" weapons and shit when you rank up.

I can understand it sir which is why I'm huge on "To Each Their Own". There's something for everyone so nobody really has the right to bitch.
I just adapted very well to Reach. I also adored the campaign. The Halo's were all about hope and revival. Getting that one last shot at the Covenant. Even Halo Wars. It was just action packed. probably the most depressing campaign I've ever endured. Up until the moment where you have to watch your character beaten to death. Truly an accomplishment IMO. The MP...took a bit of a curve but I also beasted the Beta like crazy. I'm completely all about stealth which is the complete opposite of my play style. MP games, I run and gun and just take what I can get. Now, I'm a calculated assassin with a purpose and a shiny Brigadier medal.

You just rang my bell. Sandboxes are my favorite. I'm probably one of the few people who played all the way through Mercs 2 with like everyone I knew that had it. I got glitched out of 2 big achievements but I still had tons of fun.

I hear ya with the reinvention. You sound like my buddy BigBird324. He's pining for something new and innovative. I was in the lack of will to game slump until I started getting heavy into Reach. I am just getting better and better. I love it. Got my Pestilence armor effect over the weekend, caught a perfect match (22/0) and I have a nifty almost 700 assassinations under my belt just in the last 3 weeks. I'm addicted to the theater and making awesome videos. Check 'em out one day along with my AMVs and montages on YouTube - adyingbreed126

Arkham was worth it. Batman got a great game and I had fun. Win/Win. But I'm sort of the same way, sir. I had a backlog of like 15 games I had to force myself to get around too. Crap too. Viva Pinata, The Darkness (not that it was crap, FPS is one of my weakest genres), Condemned 2 which I didn't bother with past chap 1 and the same with Just Cause1 and so on.

Tell me about it sir! I used to be a partially little mouthy internet assbag but after a just got old. Either way, I feel I panned out for the better. I'm a sarcastic bag of douche at most times but I am a rather nice and chill dude. Totally agree though. I've had my foot in my mouth many a times. I just basically own up to it and move on. If someone really needs to dwell on that, then it's their issue now. Know what happens when I'm wrong? Nothing. Too bad the rest of these jackaninnies can't do the same.
This year is rather lackluster for me I am digging the hype around the new MK reboot so I'll be sheckin that out. Other than that, it's all about Portal 2 this year so far. Arkham City looks good but I feel it's going to go the Force Unleashed route. If it doesn't? Sweet! But I felt Arkham Asylum was good enough for Batsies crusty gaming career. Asylum put him on the map, City could take him right off but that's just opinion and I'm VERY subject to being wrong

I was wondering where a response was. I was ready to sit out on a rainy street curb and sob to myself.
I very much have sir. Some goober tried to give me guff for something I didn't even brag about. Sent him a message on his page and he just deleted it. I love people.
