Oh and if this comes to US theatres, you best bet I'm going to see it. It better release in our theatres...FUCK YOU NOT BEING IN AMERICA! o_o...sorry, it's just I have no Berserk buds to watch a movie with...
Resident Evil 5...I loved it, fun gameplay and everything...but the story was going even further down a hole. Wesker was now a comic book villain wanting to control the world and Oswell E Spencer...the man we had been waiting 10 years to see...was nothing more than an old fart with a God Complex. But ya know what...despite how I feel, I'll accept the story changes. This is what happened, this is how it is.
So RE6 has its story and I'm curious as to where they're taking it...but I'm going to enjoy the game one way or the other. I'm kind of hoping the shaved head guy is Alex Wesker, that would be pretty cool...but we'll see.
Then Umbrella Chronicles came out and "rewrote" some aspects of RE0-RE3 by adding in this story about Sergei and the Ivans....while I liked some of the things they did in that game others it just sort of messed with stuff. It's like basically what the game is suggesting is that this whole time in the original Resident Evil and REmake, Sergei broke into the mansion to get that computer thingy (I think they called it "Red Queen", which borrowed from the movies).
So I of course was very excited for Resident Evil 4, having kept up with it and it's many changes (it actually had 3 previous versions, one of which everyone knows turned into Devil May Cry). As soon as I saw the opening credits part of me felt pissed...Umbrella, the evil corporation that they all swore to take down was...gone? Due to the Government's intervention? I couldn't believe my eyes...it was shocking but it was certainly true. I still played through it...multiple times and it was a fun ride. The control scheme was amazing but the story's changes...I don't know, it just didn't feel like it belonged with RE0-RECVX.
I've been a fan of the Resident Evil series since 2002. For years before it however I owned a magazine that featured Resident Evil 2 and it used to scare the crap out of me...just the artwork of the zombies and the gritty, dark textures made me pretty fearful. I never thought I'd touch the series back then...but I saw an Extended Play (back when it was just Adam Sessler for Tech TV) review on Resident Evil (REmake) for the Gamecube and I had to try it out. I admit I was a bit freaked out at first (I was still young, I'm 22 now in 2012 going on 23...I woulda been 12 or 13 at the time) and as I played through, I slowly began to conquer the fear. I went back, played RE2, RE3...CVX and eventually rounded out with every single game in the series except those not made available in America.
Hah, nah. Lolwhat Bleach is on TV right now? I think it's the filler arcs though, adult swim dub.
Uh MGS HD, I haven't played the games yet .__. been focused on AC Revelations. Once I'm done with AC Revelations (which should be here tomorrow or the next day) I'll gravitate over to the MGS HD Collection. The achievements on MGS3 aren't terrible, still challenging to a degree (shooting all the froggies) but otherwise MGS2 is the problem. Dog Tags, Virtual Missions...and oh my god Renji is like 5 feet taller than Rukia in the anime right now. Sometimes the anime can never get the sizes of their characters right...like he was a Shaq to that kid in Shazaam but it was Renji to Rukia.
Haha yea I wasn't satisfied enough with how the anime ended so that's what kinda made a push for me. Any word on some new Vagabond though, I need to pick that up again stopped at an ok point but don't want to end up at a chapter that leaves me hanging wanting more and there won't be a new one for awhile.
