    Again, nothing. They are telling me that they had to escalate the claim back to the investigations department. I am so damn sick of this crap! No one can do anything at MS. They never let you talk to anyone that can actually think or do anyting to help. I bet I'll get an e-mail in 5 days saying something stupid like they could not recover the account. All they need to do is give me the damn secret question or password to the Live ID associated with my account. They already told me what the live ID is, it's

    I wish I knew what to do at this point. I've tried contacting MS customer support through the e-mail an I get some pre-generated crap telling me to call the 800 number. Seriously, what kind of customer support is that? Why even have the e-mail option for customer support if all they do is refer to the 800 number? It's so frustrating.

    This is BS! I still have not recieved an e-mail from MS about my account recovery. I called MS and they are not sure why my e-mail address is not receiving the password recovery instructions. I am on the phone with MS right now as I type this...I am on hold for a supervisor yet again. Lets hope they can actually do something for me.

    It's nice to hear from you guys. I can't wait to be back on Live with my old account. I will deffinately let you guys know my new name once I get it.

    It kind of sucks though, I still don't have the e-mail from MS yet and it's been over 30 hours. I called MS again about it and they said to continue to wait until it's been 48 hours...sigh... I swear every step towards getting a resolution through MS has been a thorn in my side. It's like MS is holding out my account infront of me, but telling me I can't have it yet. It's frustrating. Oh well, by this time tomorrow I should have my account back, that is if MS can help me. Lets hope.

    yeah, I'm pretty stoked. I followed the 7 steps that they gave me in the e-mail and now I am waiting for an e-mail from MS so I can change the live ID associated with the gamertag. I have been waiting about 14 hours now and still no e-mail. I called MS and they said to wait 24 - 48 hrs. WTF? Usually e-mails are pretty quickly generated, but then again... it's MS, it doesn't surprise me.

    I keep joking with my wife saying that MS will tell me that my account can not be restored and that the e-mail I received was not suppost to be sent. MS love to do crap like that, they like to back pedal their way into whatever solution is the easiest.

    I'll definitely lets you guys know what my gamertag changes to and I'll send you fRs. I'm gonna need all the friends I can seeing as my Fl has been wiped clean. Oh well... I didn't know most of them anyway.

    Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! I would suggest changing your live password a few times when you get it back too, just to be safe in case they've got your IP address or something.

    Hit me up with a FR too, though send a message with it if you change your name, haha! I'm happy for you my man.

    Ha Ha! I got an e-mail from MS today giving me the instructions to restore my account. Whoohooo!!! They are also giving me 1600 MS points and a free 12 month subscription. It only took 1 month of headache and no Xbox Live, but it looks like it's gonna get resolved. Damn, I hate myself for going to that damn website in the first place. MS customer support does suck, but in my case, it got resolved, probably from my persistence.

    I'll have to change my gamertag. I'll let you guys know when I do.

    Hey man - glad to hear that your account has at least been taken away from that skank master. Doubt he'll be punished but here's hoping you get your acocunt back soon. Hurrah!

    Just to let everyone know, I am still working on getting my account back from MS. I was finally contacted via e-mail from MS's investigations department. They said that the thief no longer has access to my account and only the investigations department do. I don't know how much longer they are going to make me wait.

    Just to update everybody that is checking up on me and my account, so far, I don't have it back yet. I have been talking to MS almost every business day and they can't help me until their "investigations team is done and I receive a call from them." As of this post, it's been 11 business days, but then if you count Christmas as a holiday, it's been 10 business days. However, I doubt they only took one day off for Christmas and that they probably will be out of the office until after the new year. I am planning on calling them tonight if I don't hear anything by today. Instead of being transfered to "Accounts and Billing," I think I will try "technical support." Maybe they can help me restore my account.

    Oh, and btw. I checked that bad website that got me into this whole mess. It's been shut down. I am curious to know if that is MS working on resolving my issue. Check back soon to get more updates on my situation. Thanks guys.
