Do you feel that the sense of working as a team was lost to some degree in Reach? In Halo 3, I remember always being in a chat with my team. Shouting out, co-ordinating, making sure we won together for that vital XP. In Reach, I don't see why they had to bring in the XP system we see in every other shooter these days! "Oh yeah you still rank up, even if you don't try and win". That was something unique that I loved in Halo 3. Made each game very tense and exciting.

I hotly anticipated Reach and whilst I enjoyed it for a few weeks, It didn't hook me in like Halo 3. I was aware of all the changes but they didn't grow on me and I really didn't like the maps :/ I remember loads that were a blast in Halo 3. I can see myself getting Reach back one day to wrap up my final 35G (both rank related achievements). Perhaps even when the older DLC gets discounted but It really isn't what Halo 3 was to me :/ despite my best efforts to get addicted to Halo again, I just couldn't.

Here is my youtube channel by the way, I did go on a long run of spamming Black Ops clips but that has pretty much ended since I sold the game. There are videos from some other games and I do plan on uploading more clips/videos from other games but it is just finding the time and dedication really. You may find something on there to enjoy!

It's such a shame for me personally, I really wanted to love Reach. I owe so much Halo 3 and how it introduced me into the world of xbox LIVE. It improved me immensely as a player too. I loved the way Halo 3 worked, everybody starts with the same gun. Everybody can do the same thing. You encounter somebody with the same gun as you and it's straight up gun-on-gun awesomeness.

You actually had to get some buddies together and work as a team to win to gain xp. I loved those encounters in Team Slayer where it would be tied at 49-49 and you would get the winning kill. Knowing that your opponents go away empty handed and you had to work so hard for that one measley xp point. I truly miss when Halo 3 was in its prime 2007/2008. I played it religiously (even more than Call of Duty 4 for it's first year if truth be told).

It was so straight up and the theatre mode was flawless, forge and custom games were some of the best on any game experience. To me, it was the perfect game. TBC..

LA. Noire was also on my radar until I realised it was unlikely there would be multiplayer free roaming included. Something I am a big fan of in sandbox games.

I am struggling to think of many "must buys" this year, I'm a huge fan of Saints Row 2, so by default, Saints Row 3 goes on my list.

Other notable mentions have to be RAGE, the new LoTR and Gears 3 if it can live up to my expectations surrounding the MP side of things.

I am losing my will to even play games right now.. I must have close to 30 games still, but there isn't a single one I can sit down and say "Yes I want to play this game". Sometimes I will sit around for 15 minutes trying to decide..

One thing I am sure of though, is that I am sick to death of FPS'. I need a break from them, I can't take it anymore lol. *Sprint, Left Trigger, Right Trigger*.. rinse and repeat.

I need something that can re-invent the genre or maybe explore some other genres to save myself from getting sick of gaming altogether, haha.

I can see what your getting at with Arkham. That being said, I didn't really play AA all that much! I recently had a massive clear out of games that I kept saying "I will play this game eventually". I had a backlog well over 20 of games that I was "going to get around to playing eventually". So, I never really managed to give Asylum a real go. I am a real sucker for buying games that are probably amazing but I just won't get around to playing. I need to change the way I do things.. finish what I have before moving on!

As for Portal 2, yes, that was very much on my radar until I read this article regarding the PS3 version being the pimped up one, thanks to Valve's new contract with Sony. So that has veered off my radar for now, on to the "Get this game sometime when it's cheaper" list.

    TBC..

My message notification thingy-ma-jig seems to be working now. *Yays*.

The truth about a lot of people on the internet is that they are mentally very weak, I love seeing such weakness being exposed, you can actually imagine them getting all worked up about it and shouting at the screen. "OMG NO WAY - SOMEBODY DOESN'T SHARE MY OPINION, RAAAAAAGE" The internet can be such a fun place..

so.. what games are on your radar for this year?

Well it seems that x360a decided not to notify me of these messages you sent me, some 2+ weeks ago now.. but yeah I think we pretty much concluded the topic lol. Keep up the awesome ranting! Speak the truth!

Yes I do enjoy a giggle every so often! I'm like you in the sense that, when I feel like ranting, I will go ahead and rant. Even if if it doesn't come out quite as well as I have it planned in my head. I will get there in the end. So is idjits a new word? I haven't seen it used before, it's certainly cool sounding word..
