My cheque arrived today, which is very annoying cos it won't go in until Monday - I hope it clears quickly!!! Gaming TV ftw! ;-)
The chinchillas are off the list as the two I wanted have gone from the pet shop, so that has made my mind up for me - a good thing I suppose as it would have been a big commitment. I think I might try and get another gerbil to join Rosie - I adopted her when she was 3 months old and they can fight if introduced after 10 weeks, but the girl in the shop said that I can bring her in to try and introduce them so might do that. Awww I would love a dog - I want a German Shepherd ;-)
How are you feeling today? Did you manage to go and see someone? xXx
Haha we are clearly kindred spirits! The TV is a definite, plus at the moment at Argos there's a free DVD player too...it would be rude not to! ;-) I am also looking at the possibility of buying a couple of chinchillas - I had a pair when I was younger and they are the loveliest animals ever. They will be £150 for the pair and anything from about £45+ for the cage - I am debating whether to get them a really big cage or not. Not sure yet. I will call them Dusty and Pikachu ;-) That's assuming they are still at the pet shop...I might go and have a look tomorrow. Do you have any pets?
I wouldn't wait if you can help it. If anything at least you'll be dealing with it sooner rather than later - even if it is just flu. Poor thing - it sounds like you should see someone about it anyway as it's been going on so long! *hugs* xXx
Ha. It'll be here before you know it! And it's sign-up in August for gaming from beginning Sept to end Oct I believe, but don't quote me on that.
Well just found out I have a bit of money coming to me in the next few weeks, so can't decide whether to have a bit of a splurge on a new TV or some games and other bits and pieces...or both. Should save some for car insurance which is due in May really...but you know how it is ;-) I already have 2 televisions (dinky Hitachi 19" one in my bedroom w/DVD player and 26" Panasonic Viesta for the lounge), but want a 32" Samsung Full HD one to go on my wall in my bedroom just for gaming. Lavish ;-)
Just a warning, swine flu is going round again according to my housemate (who is a doctor in A&E!) so if you are having trouble breathing with this flu-like thing I would get yourself down to the docs ASAP xXx
Well I think the ext sign-up is in August. You can see the prerequisites in the GSL forum. I have kept some easy games in my lovefilm queue for just this reason (like Avatar hehe).
Well a happy birthday to you too! I am going to buy myself Overlord 1 & 2 when I get paid definitely - got the first one from lovefilm yesterday and it's absolutely brilliant! Working on GTA IV at the mo so I can finish that as much as possible and start Episodes from Liberty City. My GS jumped by about 2500 over a couple of weeks as I had time off, which I think is pretty good! I know the feeling, I have far, far too many games that I haven't played yet. Very naughty.
Hope you feel better soon. Everyone seems to be ill at the mo - such a pain! Touch wood i've escaped it so far xXx
Well if you're ever in Bournemouth again stop in for a cuppa and a gaming sesh. I didn't get any games for Christmas either, for the same reason, though I am thinking of treating myself to Red Dead Redemption and The Sims 3 as birthday presents, as it's my birthday on 23rd. Glad you had a good Christmas and New Year - I had an awesome time too. Lots of drinking and eating and merrymaking Shame to hear you're feeling poorly still, there's so much of it going around. Unfortunately if it's flu, antibiotics will do nothing for you as flu is viral. Boo hiss boo!
What are you playing at the moment? I am trying to finish up GTA IV and also Lego Star Wars: TCS
I did the same - it's only now I have some "free time" (I'm back at work, hehe) that I have caught up with all my messages!
Let's be on a team together then when the next GSL rolls around (perhaps we can get 2 more girls and be one kick-ass team ) provided we meet the requirements. My lovefilm subscription should help with a few easy 1ks too! I think I could easily exceed 20k, as if I completed all of my games I would have a gs of 35600! Just goes to show how much money I waste really!
I know, they are so time consuming! I love GTAIV but I seem woefully behind on getting most of the achievements. I think it's a really hard game actually, but I love it. I think I have done okay with my GS this year as I have had my xbox since last Xmas but only been playing properly since March. Next year the GS goal is 20k, though I would like to take part in the GS league too.
Bless, sorry to hear you feel so rubbish. I hope you feel better before Christmas. Are you doing anything fun?
You're right, I really don't see the point of most degrees because they don't help in real life! i think that is why so many companies want graduates with experience, which is really difficult unless you've done a placement.
Yeah Manchester is a lovely city. When I was dating this guy I did consider moving there. If I come up we'd need to have a good old game Have you ever been to Bournemouth? xXx
Yep, same - I have Fallout 3, Assassin's creed 1&2 and GTA4 + Episodes from Liberty City awaiting my attention, to name just a few (am I ever going to have a social life again??) Well you don't even have to wait a year m'dear for the next instalment of TES - don't know if you saw the announcement that TESV: Skyrim is out on 11/11/11 - very exciting!!! Poor you being ill; still it sounds like the perfect opportunity to stay tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle in one hand and your controller in another
It was an okay degree but at least yours might prepare you for the real world. Mine didn't at all. I learned more about Marketing in my first 3 months in this job than in the whole 3 years of my degree! I went to Lincoln, which is an okay place. I love Manchester - I dated a guy who lived there for a bit but he turned out to be a complete tool, so haven't been up since June x
